  1. Fully agree with this VC , the growth of his skating speed and balance strength this past month has impressed me. Id like to see him get a chance up there in this game for 2 half periods over these next few games.
  2. To Luke’s credit, He has battled hard the past couple of games, the only one leading with that type of physical D and protective work.
  3. That’s not what she said ..
  4. His agent was quoted as saying he would be talking to Canuck management. I beleive Kane was being selective at that time. The particulars of that, I have no idea , because he was an UFA, after contract termination. .. it looked a lot worse in Edmonton before he got there.. I forget , is Kane the douche that got the Oilers Coach fired to now?? Ive never seen a locker room implode,. And I don’t know if one ever has. Truly its a Fan myth.. Otherwise Boston would be on Fire. Hertyl was the one in SJ , who went to management saying Kane was a distraction to the team because of (unverified) accusations and a divorce case (Kane was trying to handle privately). the fact is Kane has out performed and put up better figures than Hertyl,. Hertyl was jealous and wanted him gone because he saw EK as a threat to the contract extension he himself wanted.. Hertyl got Kane terminated , and signed his 8x 8.175m extension Recently on March 16/22 There is more to many stories around E Kane, it’s unfortunate. He is a great player, and had he walked a more groomed path, I think he could have been a Hall of Famer. The problem most fans have, is they want athletes to live and abide by a different set of above average rules regarding their private lives. But life, effects us all in so many different ways. Its unfortunate that This player is under the microscope so much for that,. When historically in this professional sport, and others .. That athletes who have genuinely convicted of crimes, have continued to play in the sport of their profession and succeeded. Kane has been convicted of none.. and has stood to defend accusations against himself.. and my guess, will continue to put .5 - 1.2 ppg for another 3 years. I wish him well.
  5. “Quick, .. yet spectacular “. . love that so he really did offset his carbon foot print!
  6. Yes…. and he “liked” it.
  7. Wanted to share this here,. Will probably not amount to much.. and not reading much into it, but .. considering I have only sent 3 or 4 comments to NK over the past 4 years in recognition of what he posts on IG,. I am happily surprised that he “liked” my comment on the birth of his second child.. in it, I implied a little more about the possibility of coming back to Vancouver. it’s the first time I’ve received any acknowledgment of any comment to him. just thought I’d share, it did raise my eyebrow. @Hairy Kneel , if you know someone else who might find this interesting, please pass on
  8. On the trade, Dermott expressed to be very happy to be coming to Vancouver. I then went to hunt down a few stats myself to see how, where, what, and when about this player. Right away on HDB, realized he has played only in the Toronto area, very close to family home , his entire minor, major, pro career . Its the first time Travis has officially left his Moms Kitchen ! She was probably doing his laundry to send out while he played his first game with us ! no wonder he is so happy to be here lol He finally left home
  9. Forecheck is firing on all lines, it’s causing hesitation with the wild. Podz Pétan and Chaisson are looking really good right now
  10. Wasn’t it the Knights didn’t have an answer for him? A couple years ago?
  11. Look what it’s done for Lammikko and Highmore,. Bruce sees their strengths and lets the reigns go with them on the F1-F2 fore check .. it’s so much fun to watch as it is to play.. when a team is allowed to skate like that, with responsibilities.. they’re always on their toes. great game.. hope to see another string of them come together and grab that WC or better. in 7 games against 1 team,. Bruce will be at his best .
  12. @viking mama have to agree, the more these two get to play with each other,. Both of their games rise. … but around Christmas….. Perhaps Green had lost the room and Bo couldn’t find a way to communicate that,. I think JT, just got more upset and played harder. Green seemed to have a way of keeping to a “systems” approach.. dull and boring to a player trying to compete at his best.
  13. He can is a great guy to speak on behalf of the team,. Honest and thorough.. Hed probably tell you the positions and type of players we need to compliment the entire team game. His enthusiasm alone should never leave this team.. never mind what he’s slamming with his stick, or spitting for words.
  14. At least HE recognized, and did something about it.. that takes guts. Some would sit on it. Have to applaud ownership.. Benning has left a decent foundation to build upon,. That in itself can be difficult to do. our time , hopefully isn’t too far off.. this team needs “tweaks”.. a hard assed power forward to add with the grit of this core,. And a strong , great skating intimidating D man. Our prospects look good.
  15. Personally, I try not to get sucked into those “feel good” moments . but that might have been the most emotion I’ve seen come out of Bo this entire season.. hope he takes a page out of JT s book and has fun with it .. ripping into refs can be a blast !!
  16. Think I heard JT scream to Bo “Skate it”!! On that EN lol
  17. Watching his first game with us,. It’s just after the 2nd p. Dermott moves very well, and is quicker than I expected.. he is quick to keep the check/ gap tight, has great shut down angles, strong on his feet.. but I really like the way he dosent keep still,. He “roves” and crosses zones really well, always leaving a defensive pass outlet. I like him.. first impression,. But perhaps an upgrade on Hamonic in many ways.

  19. I think he is a player who would produce well in a to six situation. easy to call him or any player a 4th liner, when that’s all the opportunity he has been given. Place Boeser on the 4th line, and what is he going to look like? its all about opportunity, which is what he wasn’t given here.. and from what I understand, is why he would not resign. I beleive either Lamikko or Highmore would also be better than Boeser if given the same opportunities. it’s the Trouble with most posters and analytics.. Face value. Opportunities need to be pushed and opened to reveal your best,. Especially when they give it there all. If, we stuck Motte with JT and Bo or Petey. You can’t tell me he dosent become better with that opportunity. We have lost a lot with Motte.. and no , any grinder won’t replace the symmetry his attendance brought to all lines. He is a 3m per player. Easy ( he come the face value buzzards lol)
  20. Let’s not forget, we have Connor Garland at 4.95 m for 4 more years, Perhaps he moves in the off-season, and we are able to resign Motte around the 3 to 4m point as a UFA? it’s hockey folks.. happy to see Motte get a better and big opportunity on this stretch with the Rangers.. perhaps we see him playing with top players bringing the best out of him.
