  1. Sounds like we need a Psychiatrist as a Captain Stawnzy.. Bo never has much to say, try’s, but never comes unglued.. never anything to follow there really.
  2. Good post jester! the “woe is me mentality “ cares.. but they’ll console each other, talk about it, make each other feel good again to be ready for the next game. .. because they care, and they care about each other. It’s below the line to what’s needed in a game like hockey. Hockey is, One of the true , and last “warrior” sports, played with a weapon, on metal edges that can quickly slice a jugular open, our ruin / cripple a player in physical contact at very high speed, played on a surface , and between boards that feel like concrete. (“weapon” I keep a wooden hockey stick behind my door for intruders , nasty the pain you can inflict so quickly from a safe distance ) Players with emotion play above that line, it’s a driver that can help them focus and bring out their best game. They challenge themselves and others with it.. it readies them to face any opposition to bring out there best attributes. The difference between caring , and playing emotionally charged can be a big factor in winning or losing. I didn’t see much of the vs Leafs game unfortunately, .. but I caught a moment where Miller was talking to Boeser on the bench after Boeser had given away a puck for a goal. I didn’t see Miller “consoling” Boeser.. I saw Miller telling him stuff, emotionally, and trying to Jack him up with it. I saw Boeser listening to him,. and taking in the words, and absorbing that “charge” to gear and amp his game up. Over these next 7 games , I think we’re going to see the best out of Boeser,. I think Miller has turned a motivation key in Boesers game, that will bring out a more motivational and emotional Boeser. If that has happened, I will change my thoughts on trading Boeser before RFA. I only wish Horvat could match, or learn from Millers intensity.. when you have a group of players playing like Miller,. It’s not only the best hockey, it’s fun for everyone.
  3. Lami U-Haul is going to get the opportunity here to become a 1st / 2nd line Center more often next season. He shines. Boudreau sees it , and it’s hard not to think that he won’t be one.
  4. This is positive leadership, basic, raw, hits you in the guts and heart at the same time.. You keep this type of leadership so that another player 5 years down the line , picks up the same chicklets he’s spitting. Boy, I look forward to this 7 game home stand! https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/video/miller-proud-canucks-contagious-win-maple-leafs/
  5. Bo has had every opportunity to be better than this. Compared to Miller, I don’t think Miller was getting the same opportunities years ago. Miller and Bo should almost be clones. Bo is built the same way, by his mental prowess is not there. I watch hockey. I watch a lot of pre curser play away from the play.. how good players create an advantage in a play. . . And their weaknesses. Pfftt to fantasy boards and unicorns for that matter. Every game is crunch time.. Everyone should be playing like it’s playoff hockey right now. Some are…. I really hope your not saying Bo is saving his best game identity for playoff hockey,. If he is, he should hand in the “C”.
  6. I don’t see him getting any better than what he is, and ultimately we hope to have someone who can push him out, someone better.. I think 6m is fan favourite play for being here for 8 years.. He is not physical enough, and not driving as hard as we have seen, his game is not getting better. still , I do t think he is a 6 mil man. see what happens over the Summer. see if he is here for camp .
  7. Lol, perhaps I do,. But the conversation I was having with someone else pertained to that. Cheers.
  8. Well, this thread was started because there was a report that the new management here was inquiring directly about Zacha. I like that. The speculation about who for who in this thread, is just that, speculation based on who the Canucks might look at to move out. A Qualified Offer of 7.5m for Boeser is way too much for this player. Thats why his name comes up. The comparisons between Boeser and Zacha are generated because people think we would do a one for one deal.. something I highly doubt. But if that happened, I would be just as happy to clear the 3m in capspace . That 3m is the difference between Zachas QO and Boesers QO. Boeser is overrated, even at 6m. Zacha has Canucks interest. I like that, could leave us with 3 Centers doing better than 50% down the middle if I’m correct?
  9. He had his second child this week, I don’t know if he’s ready to leave as promptly as we all think is possible.. there is a lot “playing” out in the world right now unfortunately.
  10. I see Boeser for Zacha one of Shakir / Bahl. and a 2nd rnd pick if we do better Great! I don’t know why everyone here is trying to compare Zacha to Boeser? Ive never thought of this move as a player for player trade. I like Zacha, I think he could contribute immensely to our Center strength.
  11. I saw Lamikko shut down McDavid and Ryan OReily in the same week . I haven’t seen Bo do that. Thats upside. and his FOffs were pretty remarkable, I don’t know where they are right now, and quite frankly,. I’m not into stats much. Luck has as much to do in this game as talent. I don’t think of Zacha as , “poor Zacha”.. I think he has a better tool box, he is stronger on the puck and more engaged,. Less perimeter play,a big net/ crease presence,. And balanced their, not easily tossed. Physically , watching Zacha he times his hits well,. My guess is his hit stats outweigh Boeser immensely. Thats the type of forward we need. This switch hasn’t just flipped with me, I have not been a Boeser fan for over a year. He is a great asset to move right now,. I hope he scores a few more before he leaves. We need more Physically engaged players that make a difference, and still contribute in points. Zacha could do well here,. As could DeBrusk. Its up to Boudreau to get the best out of his players as it is the players themselves. I just think we’ve hit the expiry date with Boeser. Strong physical play goes deeper in the playoffs.. perimeter players get crushed.
  12. Anyone know if his contract has been paid out with San Jose yet? .. and if , and it should effect the Sharks cap?
  13. .. and Holland ? That’s who your actually addressing after the fact right? There have been convicted criminals who have been able to play in this league.. no problem. “red flag” issues about “team cancer” don’t wave because he is, and always has contributed on the ice in a positive way. Thats what counts,. Not gold stars or Cub Scout badges. All sports have players that have directly or indirectly brought attention to themselves, whether it’s warranted or not. Some a lot worse than Kane. Kane is, and was when in limbo, a low risk , high reward signing for any team. Less than half a regular season remaining when he went to the Oilers. Hollands move is paying back.. it was an easy move.. A no brainer. Some get stuck on ethics. I see what takes place on ice. I would have liked to have seen him here.. I wish him well.. UFA this season ending. . hmmm Weve had this conversation. Right?
  14. Zacha dosent play with a Horvat Miller Petteresen Garland Motte Lam or Highmore. all better players for Zacha Chemically. my opinion. .. yes, I can have my opinion. it dosent mean a trade will happen.
  15. Zacha holds and carry’s the puck better than Boeser. He is also stronger on the boards and a better skater. My opinion. From watching both players play. Boeser had become a one trick pony, who opposing teams know will cough up the puck under pressure or button hook up boards. Boeser IS overrated.
  16. Boeser has had the luxury of playing on the top 2 lines for quite some time.. points add up there. His puck skills and skating are as thick as onion paper. Zacha has a better ceiling if given Boesers opportunities. Boudreau would see that. Its the same way Lamikko is being turned into a 2 line C.
  17. That’s a bit of overpayment to us for Boeser.… A second rnd pick with Zacha and Shakir would’ve ample. Boeser is overrated here, .. although I’m not going to say “don’t give us a 1st rnder “ lol I don’t think Boeser is worth 6m to be honest, he will want that. Same with Bo, I don’t think he is worth 6m.
  18. No . People were more sure than “skeptical” about his fit on this team. The “hate” was overwhelming, and highly overrated. I never said he was a “fix all” .. feel free to go through my posts. My fixation, perhaps a bit of fantasy for you. I said he would be the perfect grab to finish the season with,. “Low risk, low money, high reward”. Help. Not a fix. Filled a hole as a physical ppg Power Forward. We could have reached the trade deadline and moved him or some one else if we were comfortable with him.
  19. We’re waiting for the “cancer” to appear,. Seems to be something many others have had a mythical fixation with.
  20. I think The “cancer in the room” theory is highly overrated . San Jose’s Hertyl was the one who went to management saying Kane makes the room bad. To please Hertyl, Management made the move to separate themselves from Kane to make Hertyl happy,. He of course is a highly valued player for them , coming into his UFA. Things aren’t that better for SJ without Kane, who was actually their leading scorer last season, outshining Hertyl.. perhaps embarrassing him, and lowering his value. Hertyl was recently asked about re-signing with SJ,. his answer leaned heavily towards the open market. … some things make you go hmmm. and if you bring up courts and crime, Kane has answered to all of it, and found not guilty in all of it. Winnipeg..? You can’t tell me that Byfugliens leadership is a great example,. He was a drunk apparently.
  21. Perhaps nailed to the bench for a period,. good side down
