  1. Im not at all saying Zacha is a straight across for Boeser,. But I do think he has more elements to his game that would work chemically with this team. He is not afraid to carry the puck , or clearly be “net/crease present”. . In that fashion, I find Zacha more versatile. Having said that, he could fill what ever hole Boeser leaves and be as productive as he (Zacha) was last season (.7 ppg). I do think one or two other great prospects would return with Zacha. The thing is, 7.5m to Qualify Boeser is too much.. and so may be the deliberations, arbitration and time to settle it. opportunities will appear , but those windows are only open so long. some here think Boeser might give us a sweetheart deal,. In that same breath, perhaps Miller and Horvat will too. That I find hyped wishes, or the over hyped 9m floating around for Miller to stay. Zacha Qualifies at 3m this Summer.. the 4.5m could be used elsewhere. I just find this discussion on this report intriguing. And of course just my opinion. I’m not much into fan base conversations on “Reddit” to assess a players potential, Video works for me. Zacha looks like he needs a fresh start,. I felt the same about Motte, Lamikko and Juulsen .. i didn’t expect it out of Highmore,. But that is a nice surprise too .
  2. I don’t think it’s ever had a positive effect for us Stawnzy. Sucks
  3. Perhaps that what management is doing now, trying to set the “new core” up before the Summer. This management group is going to be far more dynamic than anything this franchise has ever seen. Opportunities , like this one, when and as they arise will be fully investigated im sure.
  4. Yes, so it makes sense to trade him now if you can. Some one might want a .8 point per game player for 7.5 m (Qualified Offer pending)
  5. I do understand that possibility exists,. But if Boeser moves I think it’s because our Management is trying to be ahead of the game and save time in all situations. The reality is 7.5m conversations through the Summer, into Camp, then arbitration are as possible, if not more possible than Moving Boeser now for 2 really good pieces in the least. I think the fact that Zacha is known to be of interest, has us all looking at the fullest potential / pieces in a trade for him. it also should be noted we have scouts now from JR’s realm that are fully acquainted with the East and have watched Zacha. I don’t see Zacha one for one in a move. But their is some real potential in their high picked prospects on D as well. Bahl was 55th overall in 2018 (2nd rnd) and Mukhamadulin was 20th overall in 2020. I don’t see those two as Pyatts or Berniers. Zacha (3m QA) might comfortably replace Boeser (7.5m QA) and leave 3.5m on the table to deal with Horvat and Miller. Hopeful we can re-sign/ extend with them too this Summer.
  6. So given both Zacha and Boeser are RFAs seeking qualified offers of 3m Zacha 7.5m Boeser (capfriendly) are you saying we should qualify Boeser? This thread is about interest reported in Zacha by the Canucks,. we need to clear capspace for a D man.. I see Boeser as a key hole for that.
  7. How do feel about Boeser being in that same RFA situation with a qualifying offer being at 7.5m? Perhaps the Canucks Management feels the same?
  8. No, names like Shakir Mukhamadulin and Kevin Bahl have been used to attach to a move for Zacha in this thread. it’s our forwards that really have any value to move.
  9. Sure if your going one for one in a trade I get your drift. But I don’t think you even waste time with Boesers expectations of 7m to qualify.. i see your career stat comparisons,. I generally like to look at the last season played. correct me if I’m wrong but I beleive Zacha was .7 points per game last season,. And not near the opportunities Boeser has had. like I said, there is obviously a reason Rutherford’s scouts have been interested in Zacha as reported. on the other hand for us, I think it hard to beleive we don’t move in the least one of Horvat, Boeser, Miller .. I think one will move to subsidize the extra money to require the other 2 to stay.
  10. Yeahhh.. Jake had issues , still does it seems.. perhaps for the rest of his life.
  11. I agree Alf, the add would have to come from NJ. But Zacha’s potential is intriguing, perhaps that’s why it’s reported of our interest.
  12. I don’t see Boeser playing “big” or “strong” like this: Boeser, for what it’s worth plays perimeter. Like I said before,. I can not see us keeping Boeser .. 7m qualifying is going to take to much time and resources to settle. best to use this player for something else reasonable monetarily, with just as much potential. After all, it’s Boesers potential that’s in question for 7m
  13. Yes, Kid has a full tool box,. what I find is players like this when given a fresh, and potentially better situation perform so much better. I realize Zacha is not a rookie,. But he skates a bit like a young Kucherov. just for reference on skating comparisons since you’ve watched the other videos I posted:
  14. Just off topic a bit.. but I wonder if anyone here would buy a used car off of its “Google Reviews”?.. Or would you want to see pictures, videos or see it operating first before inquiring?
  15. I was thinking Zacha and Shakir M,. But Bahl is interesting too. I don’t know if it’s really a 3 for 1 trade.
  16. I think this is more about money/ value than Player. Garland too, is great value.… but that 7m qualifying offer for Boeser is a stinger.. it could delay a lot of time when the team needs to have its roster settled, and perhaps be adding more value. he is a great skater,. Smooth, strong and versatile . . His left to right movement is quite exceptional in my opinion. Not shy to carrying the puck. Boeser on the other hand goes to his regular “button hook” to the boards move, or waits for the perfect pass high circle. I certainly think this player has not hit his ceiling, and given the same opportunities as Boeser, could easily be better.
  17. Bigger , Stronger, more versatility, for a lot less money. A trade of Boeser for Zacha could leave more money behind for other interests. I’m sure Rutherford’s other side kicks from Pittsburgh have seen a lot of this player, and that is why he is in the conversation. If it’s a probability, I don’t think you sit on this opportunity, because someone else will see it.
  18. Devils have 7m+ in capspace, if they think Zacha is a lesser player than Boeser, id do : Boeser ( rids us of that potential 7m qualifying offer) for Zacha and Shakir M.
  19. Devils have 7m+ in capspace, and if their fans or team think Zacha is a lesser player than Boeser, id do : Boeser ( rids us of that potential 7m qualifying offer) for Zacha (2.25 RFA) and D prospect Shakir Mukhamadulin (975k)
  20. Would you agree a possible upgrade on Boeser , if given the same opportunities as Boeser? His positioning , movement, and confidence on the pp , says “yes” to me.
  21. Zacha would look great on this team, and he falls into JR’s comments about getting bigger and faster. Great Skater, positions well, strong on boards with really good skills, shot, and release. im putting his goal hilights from last season up for those who haven't seen it. My opinion is he could be an upgrade from Boeser given the same opportunities Boeser has.…. perhaps that’s the mindset behind the Canucks interest given Boeser has a 7m qualifying offer. Why even deal with that possibly going to arbitration and Deal Boeser elsewhere for a good pick or more.
  22. Lol,. It’s too easy to get your attention .. Squirrel !!
  23. Nah your just looking for all the reasons not to sign him.. you always will. Next, someone will invent how he got Tippet fired by being a cancer lol. His career is far from over , and he’ll be collecting from two contracts soon. I’m quite happy for him and I hope the rest of his career goes well. A point per game player for under 2m, sweet deal.
  24. I watch more than the shiny bits you look for it seems.
