  1. You might perhaps be the living embodiment of an Oxy Moron.
  2. And telling the truth about a players value to his team mates and team. highly doubt Bieska was saying that to motivate any sense of business. . but for the reality check on what losing leadership like millers might be like.
  3. Who is this “Petey”?,. Haven’t seen him. Anyone who dosent show up, shouldn’t be given such high expectations.
  4. I think they have history? I know Podz used to play with Trenin (preds) another beauty.
  5. This from a leader, whom I’m sure would have loved to play with Miller here..
  6. Kravstov is a positive peice of work, big, full toolbox skill wise.. but needs to age well with good leadership. Haa already openly asked for a trade,. Perhaps he still comes in one that does not involve Miller.
  7. Perhaps living here longer than he has will change that for you? How much would you invest knowing you only had 2.5 years of employment in a city or town? .. perhaps you make him a sandwich when he re-signs
  8. I doubt he would leave as a UFA,. I think his leadership qualities are far more selfless than that, and would want to help the team ,. IF THAT SCENARIO PLAYED OUT. … just another reason to keep him really.
  9. I’m Curious Alf ? what kind and who do you see with true cup contending leadership qualities on the Canucks if Miller was not here. Is it a person, or group that was here previous to Millers arrival? I feel if we are left with Bo and company,. It has proven inadequate already,. And would continue to be.
  10. https://twitter.com/DhaliwalSports/status/1490736506914279426?s=20&t=RzCcr_8Kdvz79AuqugsoNA
  11. I don’t for one minute think that better minds exist on these boards than those that exist in management.… now,. How does that make you feel? I know I can’t answer your questions,. Besides, I’d rather leave you confused
  12. I don’t see Miller as that selfish.. I think he takes pride in his leadership qualities with this team.. it not only motivates others , it motivates himself. Sometimes, the grass seems greener on the other side.. but is it really?
  13. Posters here are assuming he does. the “reasons” those ones assume and state are: “taxes / Canadian city / non cup contender Canucks..” The argument is created from the assumptions posters make.. this whole thread is creating trade scenarios around it,. And what posters think management will or should do.
  14. I think there are other options and opportunities to persue with the movement of other players. Either way, the value of Miller is an easy discussion.. but the quality of his leadership will never return in a trade involving him.
  15. “What remains true is that he does have a lot of reasons to leave a well” ^^your quote. Miller has stated No Reasons to leave, but has stated to stay.. and don’t worry about the “best before date” of expiry on those comments. those reasons you imply are fabricated by others to create a reason.. it’s stuff like that which has to have his agent go on record to state against that fabrication, because it gets out of control. even then, the agents quotes get dissected. What “we” think , means absolutely nothing. even what we “think” management will , or is thinking means nothing. Management I’m sure will realize the strengths in this player, and try to act in the best interest of the team.…. But I like others , see the leadership value in this player with this club, over not ever finding that leadership again for quite some time.
  16. This thread is riddled with posters who want this team to become the next Oiler Dynasty of having a top 5 draft pick for the next eight years and not having a true leader / leadership on it like Miller.
  17. 5 Potential Trades and Landing Spots for Vancouver Canucks Captain Bo Horvat LYLE RICHARDSON DECEMBER 07, 2021 The Vancouver Canucks' struggles this season led to stars such as J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser popping up in media trade speculation. Team captain Bo Horvatalso recently surfaced in the rumor mill. During a Nov. 25 appearance on Sportsnet 650, The Athletic's Rick Dhaliwal indicated (at the 23:50 point of the interview) that the bulk of the trade calls received by the Canucks involved Horvat. It's understandable why Horvat is drawing attention. The 26-year-old is a superb two-way center who's strong on faceoffs, can play a gritty game and reached or exceeded 40 points five times in his eight NHL seasons. Horvat would be a solid addition to any club. However, his style of play would likely draw more interest among playoff contenders looking to boost their depth at center with reasonably affordable talent. Horvat is signed through 2022-23 with a $5.5 million annual salary-cap hit with no trade protection. It's unlikely the Canucks have immediate plans to shake up their roster after firing general manager Jim Benning and head coach Travis Green on Sunday. Director of Player Development Stan Smyl has taken over for Benning on an interim basis, and any significant player movement probably won't happen until the new GM has time to evaluate the roster. The Canucks sit $3.6 million above this season's $81.5 million salary cap. They're allowed to do so because forwards Micheal Ferland and Brandon Sutter are on long-term injury reserve and are expected to be sidelined for the entire season. If they were to shop Horvat, he could net a first-round pick and a quality prospect.
  18. Yes, a writer,. More in touch with his team ( Rangers) than some who pay attention here on the west coast. something more up to date perhaps ?.. https://thehockeywriters.com/rangers-trade-targets-canucks-boeser-horvat-burroughs-2022/
  19. I did say “he’s been on their radar before”.. your paying attention?
  20. well he’s been in their radar before,. If interest is there to help with a playoff run, he wouldn’t look out of place at all. add the fact the Rangers have no decent back up goalie.. if the Rangers decide to cover a weakness or 2, anything can happen. I glad you like Boeser. . and I like that you pay attention.. thats nice. https://www.foreverblueshirts.com/canucks-exploring-brock-boeser-trade-and-he-could-be-a-perfect-fit-for-the-rangers/
