  1. Kravstov has requested a trade from the Rangers,. There is an opportunity there. The + , may not have to be as significant as we think. I highly doubt Kravstov will return to NY next season if a trade does not happen. I beleive he went back to the KHL this year to prove his point.
  2. Neither of us know what or who needs what . That’s the fantasy here. as I stated earlier: The included combination of Halak as a bonefide back up goalie might hold some weight over that.. I also stated perhaps we add to Boeser / Halak for Kravstov / Schneider to make it happen. Kravstov ‘s exit door is half open in a trade request already.
  3. The included combination of Halak as a bonefide back up goalie might hold some weight over that.. I also stated perhaps we add to Boeser / Halak for Kravstov / Schneider to make it happen. I never stated one for one player Stawnzy. The full sum of trades can outweigh the shiny bits.
  4. yes, Boeser for Schneider Halak for Kravstov.. maybe we sweeten it a bit .. maybe not. Kravstov has asked for a trade. The Rangers backup goalies are not going to help them in Cup contention down the stretch.. that has been noted by New York press. Halak might be the perfect go to for them.. if he waives his stipulation. Schneider has been rumoured, and recently brought up from the AHL to “show”. https://www.foreverblueshirts.com/rangers-roundup-verbeek-named-ducks-gm-and-canucks-may-want-braden-schneider/
  5. That’s too much for Horvat. add that raise your giving him (2m) to Miller and cut Bo loose to the Rangers with Halak.
  6. But they didn’t then apparently, this was considered with the same potential as what you 3 guys are proposing. aGent Stawnzy and N4zzy I would try this though with the Rangers, Boeser, Halak for Scheider and Kravtsov. The Rangers may seriously not have any decent goaltending do a playoff run.. and Halak might waive his no move for that playoff opportunity. https://nypost.com/2021/11/22/rangers-win-doesnt-change-their-alex-georgiev-problem/
  7. Speaking of “return “.. Petey should cough up about 4m per of his present salary. and if Boeser or Horvat sign for more than they presently make we’re doomed. Is Sutter in ICU or on LTIR? Hamonic is a lost roster spot. There is a dynamic shift needed at every level that will contribute more to this Team if it is all handled properly. The dirt here is constantly swept under the carpet,. and the ones truly contributing to this teams drive are held like diamonds to be given away for an unseen, unproven treasure map. Gold is gold. Out of the Pavel Bure Trade we thought the potential would be great ..
  8. I highly doubt Horvat is off the table,. I saw that same report,. It states “teams asking about”
  9. Horvat or Boeser with Martin Silvos Dipietro? I said there are other ways to do this.. I think this management group is highly capable of performing or creating a move or moves that brings back 2 key positions. a physical power forward, and a physically skillful RHD. there are others who shoul be really off the books too. Miller for a return is just too generic for where this team needs to be . im hopeful he wants to stay, and continue bringing this team up in its potential.
  10. There are others who can go and bring a decent return. Miller is a leader that far surpasses Horvats passive “messenger” type. Its leadership like Millers that Carries the Coaches ethic. I don’t think Horvat has the emotion to lead by fearless example to bring others to their best. I say for the difference of what it costs us to keep Miller. If he wants to stay, I believe Management will make it work for Miller and move forward with him from this point. I don’t beleive he is over an 8 or 9 m player. But neither do I think Bo is worth much more than the 5.5 he presently makes,. Or Boeser who will need 7.5 to qualify. Paying Boeser or Horvat on unproven potential after their present accrued time in the league is a Gamble. Miller won’t change his style of play, his emotion, drive or tenacity. That rubs off on all team mates ,. It already has. Perhaps there are other assets worth exploring,. We seem to be getting knee deep in good goaltending?! There are a few teams going high in the draft order this Summer who need specific help.
  11. Linden had already declined and was severely unhappy with Messier taking the Captaincy. Bertuzzi was already more than hopeful.. we got far more back in that trade than what we gave. i believe your quote is a joke. ? btw. I’d be happy to Trade our present Captain over Miller.
  12. Well, your not going to get anything better than Miller back. What you will get is 2 - 3 “hopefuls” that will turn out to be lesser than Horvat or Boeser. so might as well rebuild now without anyone but Demko to build around.
  13. Well, I don’t see Horvat getting any better than he already is.. and he is certainly not contributing to the Canucks the way Miller does. Your assuming Miller is declining,. And his next contract. .. and what we all see is a plateaued Horvat. Miller has not stated that he wants to leave,. In fact , statements of the opposite have been made. The money will be there for Miller if he decides to stay. Leadership like his is hard to come by. Rutherford, in the very least sees it.
  14. Chances are this management asks Miller to stay before they ask Horvat. both players are UFA s at the same time. that says a lot.
  15. I agree Spook, this is still early in EP s career, but it should be coming together for him within 2 seasons .. it needs to happen.
  16. What happened last Summer then? Had lots of extra time to do it.
  17. It’s got to be embarrassing! but the truth behind it GM, I’m sure it’s a growing spurt,. I’d love to get a hold of his physical stats from the end of last season before he was hurt,. To now. It was so Obvious when he came out with a Willie Mitchell sized stick this year. Lol I do beleive he will settle in to be closer to 200 lbs.. everything I’m finding has him still at 175 6’2. …. of course if he is still training on a unicycle ,. Someone might want to suggest some resistant training
  18. Since most posters here are assuming EP , Horvat and Boeser to ever become better players than they are presently, We should also assume the Miller wants to stay,. Which I’m sure is going to be the first and foremost question put JT before any moves are made. I can not see any of those three players bringing better leadership by on ice example than what JT does. As much imagination is used into declining curves, should just as easily be used with plateaus. Horvat, Boeser and EP might be our 3 least physical players. Horvat let’s up and rarely finishes a check. Boeser avoids. .. and EP looks like a pin ball flipper at times. One would hope , that by now, Horvat would have the leadership qualities Miller exudes and initiates.. if it’s not there, he hasn’t got it. It’s what is present that matters, you build around your strengths.. you don’t “hope” for them or start creating fantasy line ups through trades. Move what’s weak and broken, keep what is strong and works.
  19. At some point you have to let your picks go ,. It’s a crap shoot anyway,. Especially with the lottery, look how we’ve faired! Edmonton looks like a powerhouse capable of 4 lines scoring and physically wearing opposing D down, easily seen in the faces of Petey and Romanov last night. Holland did well, and did he right thing bringing Kane in to balance the lines out on the Oilers. If that’s “Cancer” lol, looks like someone got misdiagnosed.
  20. We’re doing fine without Horvat, and it’s slowed Lamikko to look like a rising Center stud.
