  1. I edited my above to this: Maybe what @cj44 sees is in his latter statement, Boeser gets tons of chances, but it’s a low percentage of those chances going in? That low percentage is still a decent point total , but no where near the tally it could be. Edited just now by SilentSam

  3. I hope to see Bruce use him well in the remaining schedule,. A good summer could put him challenging top 6.
  4. The reality of it is , no team has a second team to compete the way you are expecting. At this shot count, we are competing better than the Oilers with every gun in their line up. and the silver lining of it is , we have prospects playing good mins against a good team ,. Every one is playing a 200ft game. When would a player like Lamikko ever get the opportunity to cover Ryan OReily?. Lamikko is playing against him well, and winning face offs. That will compound his self confidence and motivation by 100% I hope Boudreau tells them to get out there and win , all costs, green light it . His F1 F2 for heck game is giving them headaches,. Everything after that is no gap,. And we’re picking it up on the up turn. it’s a better game than the one your watching.
  5. This was the last I’ve come across.. don’t know if the leagues are effected by Covid ??
  6. I beleive so, but I think We have a better on in Koskevuo but he is in Scandinavia .
  7. Realize it’s out of necessity, but Lammikko lining up across from R OReily is just what he needs to create even more confidence.. Loving how he is playing for us,. Every game it’s like he takes another step up the ladder.
  8. Any one ever nick named you “hen peck”? lol i said to their relative cities.. what next grammar lessons?
  9. And before I get hen-pecked for it… Is Miller , Stan Smyl?.. no but the ethic and leadership qualities are not too far apart.
  10. I don’t think you saw Stan play or his career. This is a man who bleeds Vancouver,. Starting as a young man with the New Westminster Bruins.. he is to Vancouver what Yzerman was to Detroit.
  11. Perhaps he likes the young core he is impressionable with ,. Leaders thrive on their own game getting better because their impressionable work is received and mimicked by them.. as a mentor , your own game rises because it’s supported by the work of others.. yin Yang. If he wants to stay, it will be because he has a bigger stake in his role.… and not just walking into a room full of top dog alphas to win a cup. Id like to think the journey is a bigger part of any prize,. I’d like to think that if Miller stays, that is why.
  12. Try it with Horvat or Boeser then. we did not trade Smyl away.. Lindens game was declining at that time and it was thought a jump start might happen elsewhere.. amongst everything else (Messier) i beleive this group is 2 key pieces away from cup contending hockey. a .75 ppg power forward and a gritty snarly physically skillful D man. Horvat or Boeser will get us closer to that without losing “room presence”… Miller gone will be a greater loss for that .
  13. The last time we had leadership in this form was with Stan Smyl…. It was his tutoring of Linden that bright out the best in him an many others Stan played with. I see that same lineage of Smyl , in Miller , .. I have not seen it on this club since his days. It’s not just what happens on the ice with Miller that counts.. it’s how his character resonates and becomes reflective and impressionable to others. To dismiss that is leaving a void we had prior to his arrival.. and a step back into mediocrity. Its that type of character trait every team needs.. and this group is only just starting to thrive on and replicate it.
  14. 8-9 mil is fine boys. move someone else, I’m sure in your fine mind of analyzing everything you can dream that up too.
  15. But his tenure with the Canucks for another year might create an A prospect or more. I think his and Garlands tenacity has been influencing a lot of younger players with us that would not have been by Horvat and Miller. A refreshed Motte, Lamikko turning a corner, Podz and Hogz getting grittier, .. there is more than just stats at stake if he is moved.
  16. So we trade he best away, hang onto the mediocre we have, and wish upon an unknown return. that’s like one step forward, 2 steps back. Miller is not the one to move if we can help it.
  17. Well, nice work ! Hopefully we keep Miller and move one or 2 of your untouchables, ect, ect.
  18. Not unlike your fantasies I guess Sherlock. On your planet, no one but Miller can be moved,. how’s your oxygen levels?
