  1. Have him (Miller) trade movable after the 3rd year, if we aren’t in cup contention by then, he won’t want to be here,. And we will be rebuilding again. All the Canucks are missing are 2 players, a rough .75 ppg power forward, and a snarly physical D man,. then we turn into a pack of Sea Wolves.
  2. Why would you give up something that your team needs and has been desperate to get. Miller will still give you a return in 3 years. Miller outstands Boeser or Horvat. arguments could be made that Miller and Garland make those two expendable,. but Bo’s face off wins are critically positive. Boeser moves,. 7m clears and a good D man will become available through that trade or agency. Hamonic won’t be here next season I’m sure either.. there’s the hole. And more money for the position. .
  3. Any team would want him, I find 8 mil a stretch these days.. but even at 7.5 - 8 , this player is perfect for our younger core progression, as is Garlands, and OEL’s. In my mind, its that type of leadership that neither Horvat or Boeser have. Thats why I’d rather keep Miller, the money is there if we move one of those 2.
  4. Bo is far past his rookie status,. And a lot closer to his “best before expiry date” than we think many were upset over trading Linden.. not me. too many fans favouriting players because of a tenure with the Canucks.
  5. At work we have air scrubbers (heppa) going continuously .. hate to be the dude changing that filter !!
  6. Then hopefully that is determined in a conversation with JR or ..
  7. Disregard my streamline knowledge of knowing who is, and who is out of the game tonight .. omg .. almost too many to list,. can we ice a team?
  8. It was Miller who turned this ship in the right direction on his arrival. a lot of people forget that. I believe losing his pulse will set us back that far…. Miller is Miller. I can’t see anyone replacing him. There is no one you won’t pay the same money for that will keep us in the right direction. tinight will be interesting, I realize Demko is out with Miller. Watch the opponents shot totals rise above normal without Millers chemistry, presence and offence.
  9. That’s fine then, move Boeser to do that, Miller is 3 times the player
  10. @Agent 001 @stawns @Coconuts@N4ZZY I think Covid has effected the cap for the next 2 seasons. I can not see other teams paying 8 for Miller when most have talent already collecting that amount.…. The other thing is to understand how Covid has effected personal life/ lifestyles, where “home” is, and of course tax of other cities / states in the U.S. If we are saying “Miller is too old” .. what is the team saying that taking him in a trade. Teams starve for a player like Miller who will perform well for another 3-4 seasons. Signed to something longer termed 5-6 with trade options opened in the 3rd year is perfect for us. If we haven’t made a cup run inside of the next 3 years, we are rebuilding. right now I see us as re-adjusting for next season. I’m hopeful that’s with Miller for the next 3-4 seasons at least. Moving Boeser , brings 6-7 mil free to sign Miller, and throw a good pick or prospect back to us,. Without losing the overall high end game and intensity Miller brings.

  16. No to Miller moving,. He is to this team what Shane Doan was with any team he played for. He has longetivity, and that is always underestimated in this city. His 30’s are going to be high end until 35. Id rather see a C on his jersey than Horvat. Its Boeser right now who is not playing up to his pay grade,. How do you approach a 7 m player who realistically is worth 5-6 Sign Miller now to an extension 6m x5 yrs, totally movable after the 3rd year. He will still be a valuable asset at 33yrs old. Boeser is not built to last.
  17. He (Jesse P) would do well in Chicago .… and Fluery I’m sure would be ecstatic about playing in Canada. Then move Hyman for a legit D,. I think Klingberg is a rental this year ? E Kane would likely replace the void on offence.
