  1. Makes it easier on the refs too.. they can concentrate on the real part of the game. I always refer to Marchand sandbagging Sedin.… on a bigger scale, the league not addressing Moore on Naslund.. first blood should always be highly accountable. If it is, players feel protected, and rightfully can trust the powers that are supposed to exist.
  2. Have to appreciate Sutherland making the “first” call where applicable,. Takes the BS out of game that takes place after the whistle especially.
  3. Cheers Bouds! Yes, there seems to be an air of pretentiousness that tries very hard to protect itself , even if it means pushing away better minds or ideas. Lou was always a Goalie first, Manager. Something that’s been overlooked in Toronto for many years.
  4. Loved watching O.P. Play for Canada recently.. NHL ready. Looking at what Buffalo needs, perhaps Dipetro + the 9 spot starts a conversation,. Using one of Hughes or Rathbone,. perhaps we keep the 9 spot as well.
  5. 0n the topic of staff changes, I was Just wondering how Leafs fans feel after Shanahan moved Lou Lamoriello out a few years back. I think Lou is still ahead of the game as it develops, seems others , like the Leafs, just wannabe
  6. We can freeze dry him and burn him off in the rocket fuel ! Won’t be any boost to the system, but no one will notice any difference.
  7. If we aren’t back to normal by September I’m donating my living body to science and hopping on one of Space X’s Dragons and leaving for Mars. Give mankind the finger, and let it finish itself off hugging each other to death, or in a giant game of bic pen spitball.
  8. Awww. Geeeezuz…. I’m still shaking my head EP.. Larionov, or perhaps the Sedins could extend further conversation I think.. I think the young man may regret the day,. But love does mysterious things .
  9. Every player on the Avalanche can carry the puck, and find the offensive or defensive position to go to.…. And they are tough.
  10. Latest,. I think they trade his rights, signed of course. https://www.bleachernation.com/blackhawks/2021/05/12/blackhawks-have-started-the-negotiation-process-with-nikita-zadorov/
  11. Damn! Now there’s a million dollar idea Cat Man! Get Thornton and Burns for the info-commercial.
  12. Possibly @StealthCanuckdoing his finest work!
  13. Lol.. thread just got moved to the “junk drawer”.
  14. …. Oh the gods,. I’ll be hearing from PETA next.
  15. If this helps, Me.. taken 5 mins ago.. .. I’ll be back to my old self soon .
  16. Your good humour I will never excuse Bert.
  17. About 3 weeks ago I posted something that was rude and derogatory, .. over the top of average chirping that can take place on these boards. I was suspended (rightfully so) by @StealthCanuck who I am thankful for bringing to my attention. What I posted (cut and pasted), was something very similar to something I have posted before, but a far less tamer version of what I previously have. I made a terrible mistake by not reading the contents . To any posters I have offended over this, I truly owe a public apology, what I mistakenly did holds no excuse over what I did do.… and that post reflects nothing but the exact opposite of the person I am. My best of wishes to all of my brothers and sisters here. SS.
  18. Podz will have a great mentor in JT,. and I’m sure Podz energy will revitalize JT to another level as well.. I’m sure these Covid seasons have been so mentally draining on guys who truly lead by example. JT being one of those. The only question I have is how the hell did McDavid get in on this pic ? (Back row, 2nd from right;)
  19. Is Virtannen even a “project” to any team ? I think the Canucks will terminate and release Virtannen if they can. Even if the truth is in JV’s favour.
  20. Evengy Svechnikov , hasn’t been given much of a chance with the Wings, was waived before the playoffs. drafted in 2015. Big powerful body that can score, has that old power forwards template. In his last 2 seasons of very limited NHL games (25). He has averaged .5 ppg. Grit wise, he will back down from no one.
  21. Personally having had a severe acl / medialateral knee injury, Wilson’s knee didn’t hyperextend, I think it’s a bruise, or a way to get out of the game to gain sympathy .. id be surprised if he isn’t back when he is needed.. and this is a good way for Washington, and the NHL to protect themselves from the fallout of his previous offences. I thought Wilson would stick to playing tough, but using his bigger box of skill set 2 years ago.. I also thought the League was supposed to do better protecting its players.. perhaps the NHLPA needs to set the example of “line crossing” with proper discipline itself. .. but that in itself is unjust at times, go back to Arron Romes “late hit”. The irony is Parros, Shannahan , and all the other players who have been head of DOS, are probably still active members of the NHLPA.. you’d think an honest template would exist for discipline now. I guess we have to wait for someone’s skull to be shattered by way of those “take down” moves or “slew footing” . If there was ever a moment of hind sight for the NHL / Bettman / Daly to learn from,. it was the game Moore targeted Naslunds head. The void of authority by the NHL on that “FIRST” single action completely shows the inadequacy, contempt, and blindness this league possesses. Yet players tone the heat down still hoping for the proper discipline to be announced by the League.
  22. Just a head shaker thinking what both Tram and Rathbone would look like next year.
