But isn’t Pearson protected next season? 1st year. NTC 2nd year M/ NTC ( 7 team no trade list) 3rd year Open It’s actually a pretty good deal for us in this regard.

“The Province” had him on “protocol” .. but I can not find anything about testing positive.

J.T. Miller unsure if safety is priority amid Canucks comeback
SilentSam replied to nux4lyfe's topic in Canucks Talk
Absolutely love Miller, feels like he’s been here for 10 seasons already. I have much appreciation for his salt in open wounds when it needs it. Miller is Stan Smyl 3.0 .. hope to see JT retire here, he has brought the right mix to this group, hope others learn to get his swagger and call it as it is. Should be wearing the C+ ! -
I think this has lined up well for Benning, any player important to next season is safe. no need to protect floaters, take em.

How about the organization losing faith in Gaudette for his probable dilinquence in being the ground zero dude that has made every one sick? Our full D core won’t be dressed on Sunday,. It’s an opportunity through circumstances for Rathbone . Hope he does well. If the rumours at true about Gaudette, I’d have is ass on the first train outta town too.

This pretty well insures the leafs will get Covid, and they pass it on to other teams, ..and we go on to win the Cup . -
[Discussion] Defensive Coaching ,. Do we upgrade?

Are there any? I’ve always associated the D coaches to have played in the NHL, most NHL Head Coaches have. .. conspiracy theories everywhere these days -

[Discussion] Defensive Coaching ,. Do we upgrade?

So the question remains do we allow the Jolevis ‘ Hughes, Tryamkins, Rathbone, Rafertys Woos ect ect. be led by a Baumgartner,. Who was never an aggressive D man, before HE became a Coach.. And perhaps his method of playing the game is being taught in his Coaching. I think that last statement speaks volumes. -

[Report] Canucks recall Guillaume Brisebois, Arturs Silvos

With you Dazzle ,. This kid was a super grab by JB. I hope we get a look, and I hope he gets to show, regardless of the outcomes in any of the games left,. I for one am happy to see a rotation of prospects mixing in to get a taste. -
I’m leaning heavy to that Hairy,. It was Bowness in 2011. His relationship with that end of the bench was seamless. ps. I started this as a new thread on the main thread page.

Perhaps the bigger balance of any D core is reflective in its Coaching,. it’s been some time,. Perhaps 2011 since we had a truly aggressive D system, physically and “on the puck” There’s got to be some x players or good coaches gifted with the right stuff.. let’s throw some names around.. Pronger , L Robinson, .. Rob Blake.. it was Rick Bowness in 2011 like Ian Clarke can make a difference with goaltending. surely there’s the right dude for D somewhere..

Keeps his stick slot active, and his right shoulder heavy on the outside .. a man that size can have his preference

If the RUMOURS are correct about AG breaking protocol and flaunting it,. I too as an Owner or GM would have him packing at the first opportunity.. “IF” AG is the root cause of this C19 outbreak on the entire organization out of blatant disrespect, You have to put the mass perspective on it.. this has devastated the organization and its families. Absolutely throws all of the time and money spent to protect elite athletes into the ditch as road kill or limping along the side of the road with harmful side effects. This smells less of a hockey trade and more of a bad apple move. I hope all of this is not the case. could we not have package for Eklohm I wonder?

Any body have any idea if Edler would make a good player/ d coach ? He always seems quiet, not much of an interview, but perhaps different in his environment?

Regarding Jim, Jan, I do clearly remember hi saying they were hoping to sign him last year but had to wait to see how they faired with the cap and player movement. I don’t remember anything about JB saying he wanted too much. I agree that this is an unfortunate situation that has gone on 3 years too long, and we were all excited to see him develop more with us in this league. But at least in the KHL he hasn’t been submitted to the pugilists of the game and has grown from the 21-22 year old rookie we saw to a solid young man at 26.. that foundation for his body to fully develop will pay dividends in every aspect of the game, and allow Nik some added respect for the true strengths he has grown into without having to fist fight every night. Now,. It’s go time.
