Ray,. I really enjoyed those days where we all lived in caves , and if we realized some one wasn’t contributing to the tribe in a positive manner,. We would just bonk him on the head and eat him for dinner over a really nice fire.

Don’t really think he wanted to sign back with Avtomobilist this season.. it was a fail safe to keep him playing amidst an upside down world. Avtomobilist has struggled themselves this season,. I think the situation is past a “ here or there” topic. although signing here to play for good money, walking into a season with at least 2/3rds left wouldn’t be too bad.. considering he is going to make chump change for what’s left in the KHL season. What would benefit the Canucks even more would be to have both Podz and Tryamkin finish this season together here with the Canucks.

Are we having to be that politically correct that we don’t have the “confused” or “wat “ icon/ emojis any more ??? So now we just sit back and let trolls be trolls,. or better yet troll them back.. ultimately into suspension. I guess the more freedom we give to misinformation and lies without rebuttal, it’s considered equality and free speech.

One of these two is looking right through the other one and into his future, the other is not so sure.

Yes, and media can be the same , I think J Patterson was in the dooms day mode when we acquired JTMiller.

You do realize I was being sarcastic I hope.. I for one think that whole bracket thingy was media over hype , intended to get in the craw of Benning.

Love the “moxy” in this young man,. TEAM. kid is wearing this on his sleeve,. And his game is going to rise and become more powerful .. Perhaps Chatfeild is the Tanev replacement, but with a back bone attached. I think his skill set will become more prevalent over the next few weeks..

I think it’s a bit of both Hairy, you and I have watched him enough,. He has always had that offensive prowess,. It showed at the WJC he was in.. then when he went pro, he seemed to be encouraged to stay “home” more.. I think Bill Peters has Nik playing to the strengths of his own decisions now.. I think BP has green lit him.

This is something copied and pasted from 2017 right?!? LMFAO!

Hilarious how so many here are intent on Moving Nik for an unknown draft pick or fodder... or thinking he is just going to sign with another club lol. 1. The Canucks Hold his right until the end of next season. 2. He is everything our D core is missing st the moment.

At least signed for the next season before the chips fall again.. he needs to be part of the puzzle that’s finished, not a piece in the pile to choose from.. give Nik something to look forward to and motivate a good off season.

It’s such a shame how much C19 has messed so many things up Agent.. at least the approach to that situation was pragmatic,. better to play developing your skills and body, than watching someone else play.

Hamonic was never even considered to be signing here when Nik was here hoping to be. Hamonic was basically signed as a stop gap, for peanuts in a last minute scenario.. And when Hamonic did sign,. Nik has had the advantage of skating for 4 - 5 months as His season began in September. Hopeful the world resets itself, and with the help of the vaccine, we see hockey back to normal in September camps and October regular season start. I would not be surprised to see Nik signing a contract with us for the beginning of the 21-22 season. Not too far after his season ends in Feb or March. There would be absolutely nothing wrong or against the rules to have him here signed for the following season and keeping Podz company training in Vancouver. That’s how I beleive this should be handled.

I don’t get the lack of work ethic ... is it a wonder why we like the “want” and “desire” in the game of kids in there 20’s? This is why some of the bigger contracts will go to RFA ‘s. And the 30 yr old veteran who used to get his best pay day as a UFA,. will be pushed out of the game by way of attraction.

If he isn’t a top 4 placement when he arrives, he will be by the end of that season.

We don’t have anyone as physically present on D as Tryamkin will be.. I think by the time all the numbers and personnel came together for Tryamkin or Benning to decide anything. The realization came because of Covid for Nik to keep his guns moving on the ice. Signing a one year contract says more about freedom to move, and being ready for the next opportunity to sign with an NHL team with his rights.

He was poised to re-sign with us at the start of this season, but “cap space” deemed otherwise. I think the equal issue was trying to protect him from the Extorsion draft. All of his profiles on social media have him in a Canucks jersey.. the fact that Podz will be here before him opens a door of symmetry, so that he is not the only Russian on the Club next season. I won’t be surprised. he wants to be the best he can be.. not making 1-2 mil usd in the KHL for the rest of his career

Diamond raising the stakes,. And being a realist in the situation and where it is at. the Canucks will be in conversation with Tryamkin as soon as his contract expires. I have no doubt he will be signed for the following season before we get to it. We have D contracts ending to support his tenure here. Room will be made.
