  1. .. a little off topic here,. But everytime I see that SN is playing one of the great playoff matches that the Canucks have been in , whether it be from the 80’s, 90’s or into the 2000’s... ... I wonder if they only play audible re-recorded pod casts from the 60’s for all the Leaf fans ?
  2. I love this gif... Podz.. Hogs.. n Nik.
  3. I feel the same iceman,. time to grow up, stand and account for something.. even then, I think Podz is going to make Jake expendable,. Hopefully for at least a 2nd rnd pick. In a perfect world , I see Podz exploding on our team the first opportunity he gets.. the kid is all hammer and nails,. Jake is still playing in a sandbox.
  4. So is Covid 19... it too is a killer.
  5. I believe he has grown 2-3 inches since we drafted him.. pretty sure he was listed at 6 even at the draft.. now running 6’3
  6. Jurmo... .. I see a Benning trend , I see a true farm system.. attrition good players out for picks , balance great players, and welcome the unforeseen potential in our 3rd to 7th rnd picks.
  7. We just need our bigger young men to be prepared to protect our higher skilled players, it was getting sickening watching some The the abuse EP 40 has been getting. Jake, Zack, Myers, Schmidt, .. we may need to trade a skill set player late in the next season if we don’t have at least the “pack” mentality needed . .. add Rafferty and Tryamkin to the possibilities on that short list. I don’t think we need a player like Reaves to resolve the issue, but we need a team mentality that’s ready to bite.. A player like Reaves or Wilson can get shut down having to be looking over their shoulder all night long.. they get tired, and look for a quick fight to exit the game on.
  8. Don’t know if these hi lights have been posted already. Hoglander skill set seems more purposeful than last season.. and his back check improved.. i don’t think he would spend much time in the AHL , or any.. his heads up play reminds me of the first time we saw EP 40 dress in a Canucks game.
  9. Love this... pulls in 3 forwards and hits eject.
  10. Fact checked myself Lol AHL start moved from Dec 4 20 to Feb 21. But theoreticaly this player could be sent to Utica when AHL camps start, after NHL camp.
  11. I see that Free Agent Oscar Fantenberg just signed with a KHL Team 2 months into the regular season. Hopeful that Tryamkin is allowed the same kind of time courtesy as an RFA to join the Canucks when / if his regular season ends Feb / Mar.
  12. That’s a good signing for Tyler B.. still getting better, Covid obviously a bit of upset in anybody’s season. As far as Bert goes,. I’d love to hear that the Canucks sign him as a Power game Coach.. I think Jake, Zack, Jayce, Motte, Brock , Bo, Petey, and others would all benefit from having Bert get inside there head a little bit. Nothing better than having one of the best power forwards to play the game, available for insight, and ready to be vocal on your game as you develop it.
  13. ... and when the shoe is on the other foot. https://www.instagram.com/p/CG0C6QrHgJL/?igshid=11rucwkh433xs
  14. I beleive this is a player short on long term opportunity.. in his short term opportunities, he has performed exceptionally well in situations where he should not have. Thats just a glance at HDB, and Video I have seen. He sees the ice well, will change the speed to suit his needs instantly, does not panic.
  15. Your talking about what they bring in comparison at THAT moment,. I’m talking about the valuable ice time and learning curve they would have already have received in THOSE moments,. And how far ahead they would be presently by replacing Eriksson last season. nice to see NT wearing the C.. shows how much he is trusted.
  16. I’d argue that MacEwan and Bailey would have been more useful in that situation from the start of last season.
  17. Loui is an anchor that has slowed the progress of the younger guys getting mor ice from Utica. i personally would have liked to have seen ZM involved earlier, and J Bailey.. oh yeah, and there’s that thing that someone wrote a song about.. you get your money for nothin,.. and Loui should have been waived to Utica at the start of last season, or the end of the season before. players should hold their own game accountable in these situations. Ownership and Management need protection from these situations. A lot of times it’s not about their game dropping off, it’s about playing safe and not retiring hurt. In Tryamkins case, this keeps him out of the Extorsion Draft.
  18. Is that “for sure” Theo? Just an FYI .. Schmidt wore 29 for the U of Minnesota.. and #2 for the Hershey Bears. 88 happened when he started with the Capitals apparently. seems like he would take 88,. Just curious.
