You’d think the great sport journalist, personalities in this town who have access to Diamond would ask these real types of questions,. instead they’re bent on creative negative hype and speculation to consume time and space.

The KHL 20-21 season vs COVID (starting rough)
SilentSam posted a topic in General Hockey Discussion
So far not a very good start at pre season play. last week I heard Podolzkins team had stopped training because 9 players had tested positive, and now this report of 20 players reporting positive on Avangard Omsk. Pasted from SN. KHL club Avangard Omsk records 20 positive COVID-19 tests Associated PressJuly 21, 2020, 10:38 AM A Russian team playing in the Kontinental Hockey League has withdrawn from a pre-season tournament after 20 people from the club tested positive for the coronavirus. Avangard Omsk general manager Alexei Volkov says the positive tests come from players and members of team staff who were tested during training camp. Volkov adds that the people are in isolation and that most don’t have obvious symptoms. Avangard was scheduled to play in a pre-season tournament from Aug. 4-9 in Sochi. The last KHL season was cut short midway through the playoffs when the coronavirus pandemic made international travel difficult. The KHL is aiming to start the new season on Sept. 2 and expects to finalize the calendar after a board meeting scheduled for next week. -
This just tweeted regarding Podolzkins team in the KHL.. makes a guy wonder if a “bubble” mentality is not used,. and could ruin the Entire 2020 21 season in the KHL. Rick Dhaliwal (@DhaliwalSports) Tweeted: Source ins Russia tells me that #Canucks draft pick Vasily Podkolzin's team has shut down training camp for a while due to covid 19 concerns. Podkolzin is healthy and has not tested positive.

Kinda think this is going to be systemic in the KHL,. I haven’t heard of a “bubble” mentality being used..

I’m under the impression that this game is only “streamed” over the internet.. ? any one ? Thanks -
I think these 2 will give it everything they got. Consider the fact that really the Cup this year has turned into a “tournament” and these 2 think of it as a showcase to begin next seasons camp.. I think Rafferty is ready age wise physically and mentally to show the prowess it needs to stick.. and Joulevi the smarts.. besides, we go deep,. There’s no chance Tanev and Edler survive without proper relief. Time to play the future now.. Time for those who have trained for this moment to shine in this unique opportunity. i for one have been shaking my head over the Covid / Sports push.. but I am happy and excited for those who have this unique, bonding, and step up to the “bigs” experience. Wed. Jets .. pre lim.. sweet.

Hey Nuckers,.. and if we loose it can be a Demolishion Derby on Davie St. instead of another riot ! -
Caught this , this morning, may have already circulated.. seems MF in better shape than another,. And Eriksson not listed on the line up guess work : My apologies if I’m doubling down on the article. BIG MAC ATTACK Rookie Zack MacEwen, who, like so many young Canucks appeared to progress during the shutdown, was unable to practise on Saturday. Green said he expected MacEwen to travel with the Canucks to Edmonton, which means his absence is not COVID-19-related. He is believed to have a day-to-day injury. VIRTANEN STILL ON OUTSIDE Having lost a spot in the top four lines during the first week of camp, winger Jake Virtanen still looks to be an extra forward. Unless he has a strong exhibition game on Wednesday, the 18-goal scorer could be a healthy scratch against the Wild. Virtanen was simply outplayed by others, including MacEwen and Micheal Ferland, and his lack of penalty-killing experience won’t help when Green selects the bottom of his lineup. At the end of camp, this is how Sportsnet projects the Canucks’ lineup: Forwards: J.T. Miller-Elias Pettersson-Tyler Toffoli; Tanner Pearson-Bo Horvat-Brock Boeser; Antoine Roussel-Adam Gaudette-Micheal Ferland; Tyler Motte-Jay Beagle-Brandon Sutter. Defencemen: Quinn Hughes-Chris Tanev; Alex Edler-Troy Stecher; Oscar Fanteberg-Tyler Myers. Goalies: Jacob Markstrom and Thatcher Demko.

This is fantastic news, I’ve been through this before in a MVA , Head on collision with a bus that crossed the Center, one in the Sea to Sky. Off work for 15 months because I couldn’t verbalize a sentence, and my brains spacial reasoning, depth perception and motion triggering nausea beyond belief. But yes, it takes time, and yes it heals... even after sustaining another concussion after the fact, it did not trigger the old symptoms. Micheal Ferland will be fine, and know we have a player who is extremely thankful of this organization not to push him. i think the game he “shows” is going to respect that. Kid never needs to drop the mitts again.. just keep playing with that physical attack on the color of a jersey and turn into the play for the puck he earned. Im excited for Ferland, it’s going to feel good having those endorphins pumping through his body after a great shift. ..and for the posters here wondering if he might ruin his career trying to get back in the game. if he stops for any reason,. His career is over,. This is all he has trained for, and done his entire life.. There is no time to think about “what if” when the clock ticks at every second of your life. Giver hell Mikey .

Looks like he rolled straight off the stretcher and came to the rink ! Thats guts! .. probably all he has left missing a few teeth still too .
-
Lol , hope you can swim, you remind me of someone that may have reincarnated himself into your poster. Welcome back! We need you! .. this is going to be fun boys we usually follow and watch all of his KHL games.. Pinch your nose cause there’s Exhibition games in August.. GTFOH

Would be nice if Tryamkin has created an out clause from the KHL this season,. I do beleive it to be do-able regardless.

Agreed Provost,.. At least in real life. If a worker is not working up to his skills, level of pay, and responsibilities to earn his contract, you can fire him. Termination. The only thing an NHL Team can do with a player like LE in this situation, is try to force the attrition for him to terminate the contract himself. Why have so many thought it to be unfair to force Eriksson into Utica if his set of skills can not keep him on the Canuck roster? He clearly would have no arbitration or reason to defend the move. Forcing the attrition is the only thing and only way Teams can try to protect themselves from turning his Contract into the Cash Cow it has been for Loui. A player clearly not engaged in the physical game of hockey anymore.. should not be in a Canuck uniform. Stalling the progress of players in development out of the farm systems. an average of 10 goals per season over 4 years of hockey for aprx 30 million dollars, for a player who is worried more about his chefs filet minion.. out of his Cash Cow (the Canucks), and making it home without an injury to taste it. This situation has NO reflection on the Canuck franchise if they opted to put this player into the position of playing in the minors,. That was taken on by the player and his lack of attributes to clearly keep a position on the Team. It sends no message to any veterans other than play up to your potential to keep a position on the Team.

Thanks to Hughes,. Kid kept Chris out of a coffin.

His games are live streamed on the internet.. nobody is saying you should watch every one of them.. but there are weekend games that I have caught that happen to start early our time here in BC. its worth watching all of the prospects that you can from time to time.. I did the same with MacEwan , knowing JB had gone off the street to sign him.. said back then the kid has all of the attributes tools and skating to be a beast power forward. Honestly, thinkin about it, if MacEwan was teamed with Pettersen and Miller.. or in a position to compliment talent like that.. his would dramatically accelerate. i see the same with Nik and Hughes , or Nik and Rathbone.. it’s the reflection of other players skills that hone your own.. it even has a vice versa effect.. Regardless, hit me or @Hairy Kneel up when the exhibition games in the KHL start. Im sure your assessments and potentials on Tryamkin will gain more positive light. you have to see to beleive,. Or your in the dark.

Should have happened at the beginning of 2019/20.
