  1. Ferland has been training.. nobody steps on the ice frail at this point. its about timing.
  2. Jack was always at his best.. whether it be in an orange uniform or a blue one. Im sure Quinn is waiting to mull over some great stories.. I was lucky enough to run into the man at the Kelowna airport about 7 years ago and thank him for some fantastic memories.. He laughed and said “ your ageing me”! i told him he was ageless and immortalized for his work and time in the NHL. On to bigger and better things Jack.. may this body rest,. And your soul fly into the next one.
  3. Love it.. just don’t hit Tin man Tanev mikey!
  4. Great news ! Rick Dhaliwal (@DhaliwalSports) Tweeted: Been saying this for a long time, he is not walking away from the money left on his contract.
  5. I beleive they would have to push that date by 3 months , that takes it into March. It would be wrong for the league not to allow teams access to the talent they have fairly acquired through the draft or College and have rights to NHL Clubs already.
  6. No. “Hate”, as you put it, is overkill.
  7. Hate is a strong word,. It’s like working beside someone who gets paid 90% more than you, and he walks away to have a smoke 5 times an hour, leaving you to carry the work load. ... and it never changes... and management can’t get rid of him.
  8. Didn’t he walk into the office and grab that recently.? ... another 3 mil or sumthin?
  9. Covid has affected everybody at every level of life, and work. Tryamkins situation is no different and needs no real analysis... He has signed a one year contract with his home club and is presently training for the start of the 20/21 season of the KHL . Regular season begins in September and ends in late Feb. He has taken this option to stay strong, and skate in games, rather than wait in uncertainty, for the possibility to play in the NHL’s 20/21 season to begin in December. The NHL also is plagued with uncertainty to finish this season , and start another. So , hypothetically, Tryamkin finishes his KHL season 2 and a half months after the the next (20/21) NHL season begins,.. this,. the season he was hoping to play in here.. and still has the potential to join us then. Tryamkin will be game ready .. and will have given fair time and handling for Canucks management to prepare for his placement and arrival. Given the chaos Covid has created , Tryamkin has taken his best option in consideration of all parties involved,.. Including the Canucks. Oh my god Harry,.. I can not stop laughing! Dare we start a new thread and all submit weekly samples on this topic and / or we infiltate all other Canuck Forum / Army sights with material lol
  10. He was a 21 year old rookie with us that year. Who did you hit at 21? ... and by the sounds of it , you haven’t watched him play for 3 years.
  11. @mll @SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME if this is true that the 21/22 NHL season starts in December .. then theoretically Tryamkin could join the Canucks into March,. Or at the conclusion of his regular season in February ? .. at least the big man is skating.. let’s hope every one , and everything is healthy about hockey over these next few months.
  12. And likewise , who knows how the KHL Season might progress or be halted.. they stopped playoff hockey and canceled the last season in April. Apparently , Science is expecting another wave of the same this fall / Winter.
  13. Life size picture cut outs of Harold Ballard and King Clancy in the Management Box, and Pyramids underneath their seats.
  14. With you Jan.. lets not forget that the extension to this season because of Covid is a directly related to all of the above. There are players who are on are roster who would not be,. And Benning would have proper numbers and a roster to fill if hockey had been stopped. And quite frankly,. I doubt if we see this season finish with out it look8ng like an emergency call up challenge Cup.
  15. Playoff depth? a vet with great insight? lets not forget that we probably let Tanev go, and Edler after that.
  16. Jan, I think this is the direct initiative behind Benning creating a true Farm system, with exceptions to players like EP, QH, and possibly Rathbone,. Time can be more rewarding to let more physically apt players develop to their best opportunity to make it to the NHL Level an stick. Joulevi, Woo, Breisbois, Rafferty,. even apart from the absence of Tryamkin,. To have them at their mature best, to defend against some of the leagues strongest is a true advantage. just because players spend a little more time on their game elsewhere, does not mean their game is not good enough.. but because they are possibly more physically attributed.. it’s best to let that mature muscle and mindset build.
  17. Ahhhhhh... Juice kinda jumped him after he had enough.. juice had to try and take his adrenaline away.
  18. Ferland was at his best when he did not drop gloves. The year he played us with Calgary he avoided it , playing a heavyweight forecheck game that had the Canucks coughing up apples. This day and age suits the type of game Ferland played then.. drive your opponents nuts and they end up on the pk. No one says you have to fight. So don’t. Its a mindset of not picking numbers off the other team to physically contact, but rather the whole crest and colour. Good luck Micheal Ferland!
  19. Moving Boeser would not only sort out some of the Cap for contracts.. but allows the team to invest in the future.. Boeser for a 1st round pick +. Id do that. The line up without BB is still ok,. With guys ready to take a step next season. This is an opportunity with an asset , to keep the norm and invest in the near future.
  20. A young man and his wife starting a new family,. I can’t think of a better place for new beginnings than this Country, this Province, and this city in the Entire World right now. Nik will play to stay.. First contract I think is 2 years Theo, close to what he was offered before he left. Im pretty sure he will prove himself to be worth more than double that before he signs his UFA deal.
  21. Would be nice to do that with some posters here as well.. you know, the ones that are bored.
  22. I’m guessing 2 years (1.75 and 2.75) ... and a new home in the best place to be during a pandemic,. even if it’s a little “skunky” ... I’m pretty sure he signs for 4 years after that. ..and to all of those hormonal tweeters out there...
