Vegas named NHL hub city when play resumes
SilentSam replied to Cromeslab's topic in General Hockey Discussion
One of the losses was a cousin in Britain.. Johnny was a lifetime SAS commando , the health of a tiger.. recently turned 60 , before he passed he could perhaps recall picking this up on a ski trip in Norway. He said it was something that would just not let go.. he passed last month. its so easy if we’re healthy to not realize what a virus is, what it can do, and how it is capable of surviving and mutating into something else. There is this “Millennial Mentality” that deserves to experience first hand what they are ignorant to. Too many are guilty of conspiring their free thought process and become experts they are not. Blind to sensitivity, numb to sight,. their egos balloon until something real taps them on the shoulder. To them , life is a “call of duty” game, hit the reset button and your back in at the same level. -

Just shows how selfish you are.. Ive lost healthy family members over this. How sick do people normally get with something highly contagious.. ? yesterday Nevada reported 270 new cases over the day before. its real numb chuck.. give your prejudice a gut check. -

How about if they all get sick, during a pandemic that every Health Authority is claiming we should still be practicing social distancing and wearing a mask for. . ...Why knock it?? The players have been paid for the majority of their work this season . This is about the NHL sacrificing players to cover the owners expenses, and to grab the premium money the league and franchises make during playoffs. The players don’t need revenue sharing at this point.. the owners need revenue. .. ironically the league and owners locked the players out over this stuff the last time. ... and the players wanted to continue. Thats because after a full season and playoffs, the Leagues pockets were full.. they could afford to sit a season to strong arm the PA. In my opinion the PA should be using this as leverage to gain more without feeling any guilt at all. get over the romance of the game, and you see what and who the business is actually about. ps.. Deniro, know I appreciate this conversation.. -

Who said fluke. The last month of regular season is what sets teams apart, and into position. Feels like a mid Summer Camp Tournament. * -

It’s starting to push the game out of its Winter Element.. I can’t stand the thought of watching Hockey in the Dead heat of Summer when it’s day light till 10 pm .. and 120 f or more in Las Vegas.. Good Luck. .. and then have this desperate season off set the balance for the next. IT speaks volumes of greed and desperation, to struggle with a problem, than to make let it stop,. And then re group from a position of full awareness and strength for the future. There are better things to do..

Some one here mentioned “penalties”.. to the NHL for not having fulfilled the contract. Thus HAVING to return to finish the season ( all the while the Virus is spiking again). i too have been around “force majeure” for 20 + years,. And yes some are written up to compensate for some losses incurred because of a stoppage under this term. an example being myself receiving 2 weeks pay after shutting down for Covid.. a term written in , and a type of insurance paid for through the Corporate Production. Like wise the Corporate Production has its clauses to cover losses while not producing. Likewise for any other type of “event” stopping production, fire, landslide, death.. it kicks in as well. Designed to help the Corporation and the employees in such circumstances of a force Majeure. Yes, I am assuming the NHL dosent have the same type of policy, or I’m sure we would have heard about it.. ? and I’m sure they would have shared it with the NHLPA. under the revenue sharing agreement. IF the NHL. has this liability coverage please post it. I’ve seen nor heard anything from the NHL to say it exists.

Welcome to CDC,.. you might learn something here about hockey. . dosent seem like you watch the sport. Seems like you know a lot about Kleenex. im sure you’ve found that they’re good for tears, a runny nose and cleaning your glasses. We have fun here,. This is going to be fun.

@theo5789 @Fan since 82 @qwijibo @WeneedLumme @Provost Force Majeure By MARSHALL HARGRAVE Updated Apr 17, 2020 What Is Force Majeure? Force majeure refers to a clause that is included in contracts to remove liability for natural and unavoidable catastrophes that interrupt the expected course of events and prevent participants from fulfilling obligations. ... all smart Corporations, Franchises, and Productions , especially involved in the Entertainment Industry have this Clause in all of their contracts. Insurance Corporations actually offer this type of insurance. Nobody is talking out of their “butt” on this issue. The NHL is actually sh%##iNg Bricks for not having it. It’s a huge oversight if either party dosent carry this policy. This should come into question by the NHLPA towards the NHL.

“ Ringers “ is not a fair way to look at a player that you drafted 2 or 3 seasons before and let develop in College Hockey for all the right reasons, and patiently waited for his arrival?.. How would it be different than having them on your farm team for 2 - 3 years and then bring them up for playoff games? A ringer is an unsigned, unprotected player you hire to play. A UFA, One unaffiliated , and not rostered or on any protection list to the NHL or farm franchise. we’re talking emergency goalies,. True Ringers. i

Eriksson should be the last man,.. below MacEwan and Bailey.. those 2 have more to contribute, and need this on ice/ playoff experience over a retiring, redundant player.

You haven’t seen him play for 3 years, don’t base your opinions like those of the beer and barbecue sport personality/ journalists of this city. Your thinking with your “gut” DB, only a U.S. president can do that. He is a complete package. It not only his size. His potential has been untapped. if you want to see his potential , watch this... we do not have a defender who can break a cycle like he does, nor one who can keep a forward from standing alone in front of our net. His point shot is always targeted to hit net or for a deflection or chaos. He skates above average and uses that physically, usually taking time and puck control from the opposing team Lets not speculate on contract. His contract will pale in comparison to some of the bad, and expired players w3 carry. It’s a player, we have rights to , with too many upsides to dismiss.

It is a mess,. And the league is not helping the Teams by guarding an unpredictable Cap at this time.. The league (Bettman) should just come out and up it by 5 mil. Done. Daly came out last week and said that Teams could sign players now, for next season. .. but how the hell does that help Franchises Manage if they don’t know their limits? This is worse than verbal diarrhoea,. We’re talking about verbal constipation .

And averaged half a hit per game.
-
I’d do that for Josh Anderson alone. beast. The other power forward I wouldn’t mind trying to pry from Dallas is the big Finnish player, Roope Hintz. moster hockey in his first playoff/ rookie season. He and Petterson speak pickled herring

Your right Q,. But I do think Boeser may top Risto.. perhaps it’s a future interest? Buffalo makes the 2022 playoffs? There is something a mess about Buffalo, I can not understand why there GM is still there. Oreilly left a huge hole. Botterhill might be feeling pressure next season to make playoffs ,. I beleive they haven’t appeared for 7 years. i see an opportunity.
-
At 4.5 per or more if he resigns , it would be nice to have someone with more playoff experience . Hes not built to last playoff hockey, even in regular season he has been targeted in games to hit and upset the D balance of a game. Something his accumulated injuries have done for years. Upset the balance. Honestly a D man who has never registered more than 30 hits a season, usually well below that mark. Its time to change that accumulative set back and part ways with this player. He will do fine somewhere else.
-
Boeser for Ristolienen and a 2nd. or Boeser for a First round pick.. and then Tanev and Boesers cap hit serves purpose to Toffoli and Petriangelo.
-
and a total of about 6 ? playoff games.
-
Anybody including Peter Puck would have a great season playing with Hughes,. except you.

The States are going to be a mess in a month.
