We are all affected by this mil, I’ve been off since Mar. 14. My industry is somewhat border dependant. Film and Television directly provided 3.5 billion dollars to BC in tax revenue im 2018 alone.. Our industry, abroad and national has taken the stance of the great good through this time and isn’t pushing speculation of “its over” or “its safe” because we care. my production and others changed protocols In early February before any other industries did. Some people just do not know the lethality of a Virus,. how it can change, who and how it reacts with differently genetically.. im cringing today watching how everyone seems to be acting liked nothing has happened. . When actually it still is. I don’t live on my credit.. and I don’t feel sorry for those that do.. or the ones that feel they need to hug or shake hands with the same co workers every day. People need to take this time to educate themselves, learn things to do with their hands,. Change a tire ffs.. instead of You Tubing how to do it. This “ Seven Eleven Society” is the weakness to all. my rant of the day.. I feel better now

... as the curve in the USA rises sports and entertainment, become essential Lol. Millionaires need there money more than ever I guess. its an F’d up world. Will be ZombieLand in the States,. Canada will have to build a wall .

Everybody is losing. trying to fight this pandemic by not respecting it could turn out to be something more than we could imagine. If they are a few months away from a vaccine we should wait. Not respecting this virus for what it has done already will allow it to evolve. Band aid safety isn’t the answer. Viruses mutate.
-
Hairy watching the virus levels start to rise again in the U.S. .. I still think it’s better to write off this season and concentrate on the next.
-
Nice twist Provost.. my intent there was to say that you are expecting Tryamkin to compensate for money being thrown away elsewhere. I will leave you with your opinion on D men size,. I hope you see a team in playoff contention full of rug rats one day,. Perhaps then you will see the value of strength on a Defence with size that dosent wear down. ps. I know you haven’t watched Tryamkin play over the past 3 years,. I’ll leave you with the analytic department.
-
Sure , Tryamkin should by all means be adjusting his next contract because of how Eriksson, Luongo, and Bartschi have panned out. A short term contract with this player is going to have us paying far more for his services in a year than 3 mil. BTW. He was making 750 - 900 usd in the KHL on his previous 3 year.
-
.. and previously being offered 2m for 2 yrs by Benning with the Canucks is irrelevant then?
-
Why are comparisons being made to the “Cap” in the KHL? This upcoming season’s Cap of 900 million rubles ( 13m usd) was a decision made to implement before Christmas. It’s the rough estimate money that has previously been paid out to players by teams over the years already. Its being implemented to stop the back pocket payouts and create an even surface for the KHL to survive.. its also in place so that the KHL can talk with the NHL about having the same contractual agreements it has with other Euro leagues. Tryamkin will make what is fair value to his game in the NHL. This nattering over a million dollar difference on a prospect to us is ridiculous.. let’s look at the other end of the scale and where the money problem exists.. Eriksson Edler Bartschi Luongo.. this list goes on.. especially if you want to talk about WHAT a player is worth.
-
ehhhhhhh.. Tryamkin is 25 .. 26 at the end of August.

If Judd goes to a franchise that is repeatedly in the Draft Lottery , that he has been for the last few years,.. he’ll be fine. -

What was Bracket holding out for then,? He said himself they couldn’t come to an agreement? why was there any negotiation then? The underlined: Let’s be real, How many years were we in the Draft Lottery? ”How well things were?”. Thats as good as it gets for picking. How the hell do you go wrong? Linden, in my opinion fully defended Desjardins for 2 seasons before he was fired.. after all Desjardins was Lindens favouritefor a Coach at the time. Benning could be constantly seen questioning Linden in the Press box at games when Desjardins would deploy his lines.. especially when our PP was a hole running the Sedins with Eriksson for an entire season to little or no success. Benning has a complete vision.. And it shows. Buckle up for success,. Driving over Road Kill is part of it. -

Absolutely. Chris should be able to target players available to trade asset for future growth as well. Contracts , the Cap, and timing.. Timing is imperative,. Or you end up handcuffed like the Leafs. This has to be a functioning Team. Benning has built a farm system we will start to see th e rewards from like this franchise has never seen. Time to shed a little light in young assets used to acquire that future growth,. Opening the doors to acquisitions like JT Miller to keep us head and shoulders competitive. im Hopeful to see Toffoli re-sign.. im sure there will be an off set player/ pick used to supplement the future. This is where numbers and lawyers who also know hockey help. -

Wonder if Burke really has aspirations of being a Scout or GM? Is he educated?.. his guesses don’t seem to be. Must feel like a King.. happy to see this TOPIC turn onto JD Burke,. He deserves it more than Benning or Brackett. -

Let me help the situation.. Shouldn’t Burke be getting the same “check your facts” label that Trump gets? -

... and how well Bracket has done with a top ten pick in Seattle or elsewhere. Lol. -
I beleive about 3 years ago, Benning was trying to have serious conversations with Boterhil about acquiring E Kane. Something I thought would have been a perfect piece for Vancouver. A lot of posters were against it given the swirl of charges that Kane faced in Buffalo. To me that had more to do with the Culture than the player. Kane has strong family ties here, trains with his Father every off season. Boterhil wanted far more than just C Tanev at that time,. Far more.. so Benning rightfully stepped away. just seems that Buffalo has this cloud over it at times,. Something I don’t think Boterhil has ever addressed.. always seems like every player is on a punch card/ clock in that city.. show up for work,. And then go home,.. I have Never hear of a true culture there. we should feel very proud of our franchise and how it is part of this city. Shows you what being involved with the city you Sport in, helps to evolve and characterize that city, and vice versa.

It’s within this SN article Theo..... I cant seem to paste the link. “Quick Shifts: Anger, trade speculation swirls in Buffalo” The National Hockey League is a world of moving pieces. I want to coach Risto next season,” Krueger said. Ristolainen said he wants to win “if it’s in Buffalo or somewhere else” and realizes losing necessitates change. “If changes will happen, I know I’m one of the first ones probably who is going to get traded. It’s part of the business and I’m ready, whatever happens. I have really enjoyed my time in Buffalo. It’s home for me,” said Ristolainen, who has begun wondering what a winning culture even looks like. “I haven’t really seen it before or in Buffalo. I think this year we built our culture a little bit better than previous years,” he went on. “We are young. I don’t know if a lot of guys have been in winning teams or winning organizations. Personally, I haven’t. Unfortunately, the team I played for when I was back in Finland it was in the same position, coach got fired every year, players got traded, GM got fired, so I don’t really know what is it. I haven’t seen it. I wish.”
-
So much of this is cap based though.. perhaps it’s time to use a good forward as an asset.. Boeser. and the rights to (Stetcher and Tanev) Drops our cap, perhaps we get a 2nd or 3rd round pick as well.. maybe better if they’re in the lottery lol.
-
Hairy, just read a recent article where Ristolianen says he believes if there are any moves to be made in Buffalo, he feels he is the first to go. Boterhill has to make moves.. 7 years without playoffs.. I’d love to see Ristolianen here with the likes of Myers Hughes Tryamkin Rafferty Rathbone, Breisbois and Teves.. one more season to go with Edler. I know you like Dillon, but there’s an upside to Ristolianen I don’t think we’ve seen.

I appreciate this G.. but there are holes in it,. Daly states “I can tell you that as of right now, our position, and this is something we’re going to have to ultimately resolve with the NHL Players’ Association like so many other contractual issues, but our position, the League’s position right now, and our position with our clubs since the start of the pause, is no club is entitled to sign a current‑year contract,” ... it looks to be a more protective statement to avoid signing UFA’s for the remainder of the season after July 1st, or their availability from other leagues, outside of any existing roster or list associated with the NHL. Theoretically, if this passed, it would not allow an ELC to play out of College this season as well.

[Report] Canucks to part ways with Judd Bracket
SilentSam replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
I appreciate any body who has worked with this franchise. To have a team appear in the Stanley Cup Final on an average of every 10 years since it’s inception into the NHL is not any easy undertaking. I think the “dream” management/coach TEAM would consist of: Quinn, Benning,GILLIS, Gilman, Vigneault, Green. I think Mr Brackets work here was part of a team effort, but perhaps he coughed up a fur ball wanting signing off on authorities that are above his position. Perhaps one day he will realize that Benning was trying to protect him from that.. soon enough he will not even get the opportunities he sought, starting over anywhere else. -

CanucksAbbyFan2 (@Fan2Abby) Tweeted: #Canucks Reminder: Ted Hampson and Ryan Johnson pushed hardest to select Brock Boeser. Ron Delorme was the first to push hard for Elias Pettersson. John Weisbrod is friends with Jim Hughes and he literally scouted Quinn Hughes since his birth. https://t.co/G3iy0lCiT6
