But dosent that RFA Dec 1 specifically deadline exist for Other European Leagues that have Agreements with the NHL. The KHL does not have any agreements with the NHL. (although the KHL has stated they hope to form this relationship with the NHL) i beleive it was put in place so that the Other Euro Leagues would not lose assets to the NHL down the stretch, and likewise for the NHL’S protection. I beleive that was why JB put Tryamkin on the Reserve Roster before Christmas.. it could be that this is a grey area that nobody is sure of. We know how this league likes to make up rules after the fact.

Be Damned if these Jounalist Fools haven’t turned half of CDC into this ! Lol.

2 wrongs don’t make this right though.. and “future” punishment considerations is just a head shaking in this regard itself. The NHL should have denied the contract on how it was broken down, and since they felt it opened the CBA agreement asked everyone ( including the NHLPA) to come together to be pragmatic about it. That is why theses things are written up the way they are in the CBA.

The fact remains the NHL has to approve , and can disapprove any contract.. It is there right, and obligation to review every contract, and has to be passed by the NHL before it is deemed Legal to everybody involved, including the NHL. The NHL Approved RL’s contract.. This is not a process for them to approve,. knowing that it is NOT subject to “approval”,. and then disapprove subject to penalty.. That I beleive, is not legal in itself. I think the term is “estoppel “. ??

I’d like to think the league would look at that, the way this season has played out with Covid , Every team needs to be healthy financially for the next season. That’s a BIG,. “IF” Bettman and Daly can get over themselves and see that no added hardships are need for franchises. ... They would do better as a league to hire L Gilman and M Gillis to help them run the league , than punish this team for the opportunity they found with the RL Contract. .. after all , the League had to approve first, and they did.

Sports Journalists in this city can kill any career.. their big city speculation gets passed back and forth to each other, turns it into Rumour, creates lies as truths. They should all go back to Toronto.

Let’s not over rate or compare an “offensive” Defenceman, to a “Defenceman” . A solid shutdown D man who quickly guickly breaks down an offensive rush, or Cycle, and move the puck, or leave it for a “friendly” stick to the quickest safe option is of equal value. As brilliant as a D man looks engaging in an offensive rush, silently the stalwart hero who engages in the more physical play and comprehensive task of reading an offensive tactic of his opposition with the puck or without it. ... and fans only cheer the breakout they create after the fact. Counter attack only begins after the 1st encounter has been stopped.. Rafferty is gifted with these smarts, as is Teves, whom I also hope make a push at main camp.

No hockey in this town so the media continues to make things up. opinions. nothing valid,. Nothing noting any interveiw or words spoken. Theyve turned a hockey scout who may have aspirations to move ahead somewhere else, into a disgruntled employee with grievances because he won’t sign . . and he hasn’t spoken a word about it. i can not name one solid journalist in this town.. none do there own homework or player study, they don’t watch Utica games,. They don’t watch International games. Just all Beer, BBQ, and bad gas.. belching up really poor opinions.

Quite “stealthy” in that Chrome finish.. perhaps put that finish on the Goalie pads and blocker and he can reflect the lights into the eyes of his opponents.. ... they’ve come a long way baby,. Mr Terry Sawchuk

Yes Jimmy,. But you only get one due to availability,.. it’s up to you where or how you use it for protection.. there will be a microwave in the kitchen available to sterilize and Re-use the old one. BYOB.

.... Conspiracy theories breeding Conspiracy theories... ..it’s like like showing up for a game of “Naked Twister” with 5 gallons of Mazola Oil.. things are getting out of control.

I had not heard that they had been paid for the entirety of the season.. I had heard that some were perhaps differed on pay waiting to find out if the season would progress. My questions were based as to see if the NHLPA might use the fact that a contract clause stipulating a deadline might which to be opened by the league for negotiation or agreement. I get where your coming from. But facts are facts.. And if what your saying is truth or assumption I’m still not sure. The draft , by all accounts I will proceed on its speculated date in early June. So has the NHL ended the regular season? Is the draft pick order written? Picking players that will potentially not play any part of what’s left in this season.. is just a moot point. It a what it is .. But UFA. . Could potentially be contract obligated crutch if anything remains to be played of this season. personally, I would rather see the season end now.. No Cup winner. .., and a solid plan and preparation for the next season begin.

Seattle makes sense,.. and allows him to diplomatically sit out this year’s draft and avoid any league binding repercussions that may exist. ... and we move on.. If there was actually hockey being played I doubt if all of this gets the hype that it is, the Canucks organization has had the luxury of picking in, or close to the top ten at the draft for a number of years now.. Joulevi has really been the only set back , but hopefully growing out of it, and having a good show this fall.

I think he’s going to Edmonton,. I wonder if he has had conversations with them already,. Regardless, If he knows he is not resigning,. He knows what opportunities exist elsewhere. Never heard of a Scout going into Free Agency before. How far does the tampering bylaws stretch in contracts with staff? This just has a feel of Non disclosure, and tight lips.

You are so terribly right my friend !! ... well , if I guy can’t find the humour these day, he might as well be it . . Thank you for that, you’ve actually made my day.. I now realize what type of pet Kanukfanatic and theo5789 are to us here.. and how to get their valued attention. .. not much better to do these days anyway ...

Sid that really surprises me, I honestly thought I saw him on ice almost every pp start.. thank you for bringing that to my attention. ps.. what link do you get that stat from? Cheers.. it’s for my future personal reference.

His mental fortitude outweighs his physical strength right now,. But he is engaged in clean physical play without a doubt.. where the mind goes,. The body can follow. on the same “sort of” topic here with platers that stick up for themselves.. I think back to Ovechkin tilting with Sevechnikov... one day soon Sevechnikov will return the favour, kids play is in beast mode already.
-
I see that as well too.. I’m sure he put 5 lbs of muscle by the halfway point of the season.. some expected him to fill out like Forsberg did... I think he is going to compare that way and end up around the + or - 200lb mark.

Tanev had 20 pts to Myers 21 points. Myers had 7 PPP's to Tanev's 1 The above is where I see the difference that makes Myers better. I beleive Tanev was on the first pp.. usually using up the 1st min 30 secs of a power play. Tanev does not shoot in the pp. his overall game is more track defensively or pass offensively.. he is NOT physical. In Myers overall game he shoots and rushes on opportunity and shuts down physically defensively. If Myers had been paired with Hughes for the same amount of time that Tanev had in regular play,. I suspect Myers would have greater numbers in all or most categories than Tanev in this sense.

If was thinking of Pietrangelo as the guy who replaces Edler next season,. If his contract was staggered as such it could help. ... but then the issue becomes who can and can’t we protect with The Extorsion Draft looming? Do we stack the D core now, or wait a season ?

I wonder if Tryamkin is craving to be back to prove himself, I think a very fair deal will be reached. Term might be more the issue. I don’t get the feeling that Tryamkin is interested in dealing with other teams spread across N America that he dosent have a familiarity with. Perhaps its a 2 year deal, opening the negotiations sooner than later for a longer term after that.
