I beleive Tryamkin and Granlund both have Diamond as an agent.. this was Dahliwals most recent tweet.

Quickly researching this myself, and paste/copying the following info: [The NHL has a transfer agreement with other European leagues, meaning NHL teams can pay the agreed transfer agreement to get someone out of an existing contract from pretty much all other European leagues. But the NHL doesn't have a transfer agreement with the KHL, which means NHL teams cannot do anything if the player is under KHL contract and the player himself will have to buyout his own contract. I believe the buyout is usually 2/3 of the remaining contract value, so that's why this doesn't happen all that much.Sometimes KHL team and player mutually agree to void a contract, meaning the player gets out of the deal without paying anything ] To the best of my knowledge the KHL buyout can happen in the off season while under contract,. And while the player, NOT the NHL team must pay,. I do think the player could be assisted by his Agent to avoid “tampering” by the NHL club. It is believed Tryamkin is presently playing for less than 1m usd per year in the KHL.. I think anything is possible,. And more so do not think to hear anything about money going to the KHL or to Tryamkins agent from the Canucks. As Benning has stated, he is in contact with his agent.. the rest will work itself out if it can.

All good news... Benning appeared on Sportsnet 650 and shared a handful of updates on his players, per Rick Dhaliwal. Among them: He talked to the agent of Nikita Tryamkin and wouldn’t rule out a return for the 6-foot-7 Russian blueliner. The Canucks want Luke Schenn to return. Benning has been keeping in contact with his agent Benning will talk to Loui Eriksson after complaining about his role under head coach Travis Green. Benning said they may discuss the matter this week. Finally, Benning said that contract negotiations with Boeser “have gone in the right direction,” and he denied reports that the two sides were “far apart.”

Caught this on Canucks Way,. From the JB interveiw.. Benning appeared on Sportsnet 650 and shared a handful of updates on his players, per Rick Dhaliwal. Great update to hear,.. https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/canucks-talking-to-nikita-tryamkin-june-2019

... and if either, or both, of Tanev or Edler are still on this roster,. It’s probably easy to say the Canuck IR list will make it possible for Tryamkin to suit up right away after his KHL Season. It also sounds like Avtomobilist will lose a lot of the players that carried them into the playoffs this season.

[Proposal] Remake the Third Line
SilentSam replied to BabychStache's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
Brayden Schenn is a UFA this year along with his brother Luke who looked rock solid for us late in the season. Brayden is playing a fantastic 200 ft game, contributing physically and on the board. .. B Schenn could be a great addition while this team still rolls in players like MacEwan and Gadjovich.. who knows, maybe they all become line mates one day. -
Sam Bennett by trade or offer sheet
SilentSam replied to JohnnyCanucks12's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
Brayden Schenn is a UFA this year.. kind of a Tanner Pearson type. personally I wouldn’t mind seeing both Schenns signed with us. Luke look like he was taking on the form that was hilighted of him as a 1st round pick. Perhaps a resurrection of sorts.. He played solid physical smart D with Hughes in our final games. -
Sam Bennett by trade or offer sheet

I just read the SN article on this: https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/offer-sheet-flames-sam-bennett-make-sense-canucks/ Bennett would make an interesting acquisition.. Tanev straight across? but we would have to add due to Tanevs fragility.. It is interesting, but where do we end up for the “extortion draft” ? The timing of Seattle’s expansion could not we worse for any team rebuilding that shows promise. -
If Philip Broberg is ranked as 5th in European Skaters on this list, I really hope he is still available at 10th overall in the Draft.. this young man has all the tools and smarts for a great D man. http://www.nhl.com/ice/draftprospectbrowse.htm

Hats off to Cam Neely and his crew at “rebuilding on the fly” , there will be big holes to fill when Marchand , Chara, and Bergevin eventually leave.. hopefully they have pieces in there system to replace them. The cliche” death by a thousand cuts” was used the other night on HNIC, again, the longer this series goes, the favour tilts towards the Blues. I look to see Chara targeted , he is less feared these aging days, and a liability if tormented with the same “pack attack” mentality his Bruins breed. ..but to physically effect Chara, leaves Marchand, Macavoy and Krueg clearly open to be the next targets.. no different than the way EK65, Hertl and Pavelski felt it. The Blues D will physically effect Pasturnak and Bergevin. T.Rask is in a zone and freshman Carlo looks solid at times, but their both in thick against the Blues and will tire. The Blues pp is getting better as opportunity arises.. Be prepared for a Physical, Physical series boys and girls, one that Doritos and a few icy cold (slushy) lagers or pilsners match up well with.. and for after the game may I suggest non-dairy Haagen Daaz.. it wont suppress your off gasses overnight, and you will feel lightly refreshed. i see a split in Boston, Blues taking both at home for game 3 &4.. a Boston win on the return home game 5.. and then a throat punch by the Blues for the Cup Win in St Louis.

If you don’t have the “vet” presence already, you have to find the right ones to mix with your youth. If your thinking that Bo or Brock will be those guys,. Then prepare to wait over 5 more years to get close to what a team like the Bruins has done on the fly.. and again something the Oilers can only dream about because they have taken the “young and enthusiastic “ approach for over a decade. Dont confuse going to “The Big Dance” with your Friday night disco ball. These pictures say it all for me, Chara with his arms around Langley native, x Richmond Sockey, x Merritt Centenial, x Denver U, Danton Heinen. .. and this entire ensemble that Cam Neely and his Team has put together. This is a mix of Vet presence and enthusiastic youth. ps. Justin Williams is a UFA this year ( 4.5m per presently)... and ten times the vet presence of Eriksson or Edler or Tanev
-
Sorry I have to disagree Deb.. i think that philosophy has gotten the Oilers in their quagmire of problems for the past decade, and then some. On the other hand look at the St Louis Blues.. powerful, resilient, vet presence warming onto younger players. Not to say Benn would bring this.. but the right mix and blend of character beats youth and enthusiasm every time. this IS about a Cup. Not E’s for efforts or favorite players to watch play. Its all beast in the end

Let’s not forget Tryamkin can play both sides... i just have a hard time thinking Tanev will make it to any deadline without another injury jeopardizing the possibility of such. we might be better off cashing out on him at the Draft Table for a 2nd round pick and saving 4.5 on the cap hit.
-
If Schenn plays better than Hutton,. I say Hutton gets used as a Trade Asset before the Christmas Deadline.
-
Niks agent Todd Diamond was quoted as saying that Benning and Canucks Management are in touch bi-weekly/ monthly. I would like to thInk that once this Buisness surrounding the upcoming Draft is out of the way, the work again begins to see whom the real possibilities are to make the Team in September. Hopefully Tryamkin hears that he is NEEDED here,. Because he is. The D core was promised by Benning to be dealt with this off season.. I’m sure discussions will take place.

Your my candidate for Canucks President of Operations.
-
In the KHL you can buy your way out of your contract in the off season.
-
Just curious to this, because I do not know.. I realize we have Tryamkins rights , but is Tryamkin protected from the expansion draft by not signing with us until after that 20-21 Draft has happened (could be a day later) ? Where as if he signed with us this year, there is a possibility he is exposed? @Hairy Kneel @Stierlitz ??
-
Just don’t sign them to NTC’s and then you really have learned something from that era.
-
.. so what are you saying in this next quote? : 3-3.5 for what?
-
Lol,. Check your mirror. Benning quoted this to the Daily Hive... Im looking for the figure that was reported by another journalist.. but im pretty sure it was over 2m per season. “We are disappointed Nikita chose to sign in the KHL, but also recognize from what he told us in our exit meetings that this was a family decision first,” Benning said. “He has a chance to be an impact player in the NHL and we offered him a two-year extension. But for now he is home and we will move ahead with building this team with other young players.” Tryamkin quoted the same (2yr offer) in this interveiw: https://thehockeywriters.com/nikita-tryamkin-comfortable-home-khl/
-
... and after he played only 60 games in North America he was offered approx 5m over 2 years to stay. yeah so what eh.
