  1. Some how seeing Eriksson in a 4th line scenario makes us look even more pathetic .. Bring on Gadjovic already.
  2. Here’s one that’s been skating more than 20 Minutes a night for the past 2 seasons.
  3. I hear they are not giving DPouliote a qualifying offer today. He will become a UFA. ....Tryamkin, Tryamkin,Tryamkin, Tryamkin!!
  4. I’m learning to call it the “Extorsion Draft” Bluffing to take certain players or make a deal that effects your future. “Gimme this,. . Or Else.. I’m gonna take that” ... and while the league was worried about the mob and mafia in Las Vegas, . They have condoned that mentality in the NHL “Extorsion Draft”.
  5. The cap rise keeps everything interesting these days,. And the upcoming Expansion Draft so awfully destructive to Teams rebuilding like ours.
  6. Totally disagree with you. ..and there are far more hilights from this rookie in his short term as this teams best hitter, 12-15 in the NHL. Richardsons broken leg. Yakapov ragdolled. Countless cycle shutdowns made so simply they looked effortless. Coast to Coast goals in the KHL, an exceptional skater, 6’7 265 40-50 kmph.. try to stop it.. His ceiling has not been touched, I’ve been watching him since he was 19yrs old. With the right Coach in the NHL, where his game is suited for, this kid will have us on the edge of our seats well into his 30’s.
  7. I heard A Auld on 650 the other day say that Hutton might be looking for 4m up. i think that’s ridiculous. Tryamkins game is 2 large strides ahead of Huttons.. Tryamikin IS a 2nd pairing Dman in his next season with us.. if Green does not use him in that situation immediately, Tryamkin would deem himself worthy in the short term, easily matched against the EKanes, JBenns, Draisitils, Rattenens of the West.
  8. You must have missed a lot that went on in his rookie season as a 21-22 year old with us. It’s not like he has stopped developing or playing hockey. Lots of posters here really haven’t followed him, but to say he is worth less than what the Canucks might offer Hutton, is simply ridiculous. Just to jog your memory, here are some glimpses from the 60 odd games he played with us.
  9. I agree with you,. But my thought process went further on term and more money (4-5yrs, 4-5 m per) for the value we have in Nik in that 3-4-5 year mark. By the time Nik would get to those years, that 4 mil would look like this years 2.5-3 mil with the cap rising almost 8-10 mil a year. If he likes to stick to contracts, perhaps there is more comfort for both parties in a longer term?
  10. They’ve got Tarasenko on the Left side on the pp Zuck, he should be on the right side with his stick on the setup side for his shot.. I’m not getting this either.
  11. Tarasenko needs to be on the right side on the pp.. his one timers are nothing from the outside/offhand.
  12. I have a hard time believing this one. https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/edmonton-oilers-next-gm-will-ken-holland-wants-job/
  13. I would rather have Schenn than Tanev.
  14. I saw it differently at the start of THAT season,. I did not see his conditioning as poor. I must say that journalists have a way of compounding details into tragic story telling.. BUT The season before , when Tryamkin finished his KHL season and quickly jumped on a plane to get to Vancouver to play 10 games with us.. He flew and traveled for 26hrs from Yekaterinburg Russia, to land in Vancouver, quickly dropped his luggage off at his hotel and made it to his first Canuck practice inside 3hrs of landing. Journalists then said he looked slow and made “stories” about it. In his first game with us, he got trapped on the ice , long shifting in the 2nd period, about 3 or 4 icing calls had him trapped for about 3 or 4 consecutive mins... and again the stories built up. Everyone looks for faults, that is The scrutiny that Journalists thrive on .. I like to think we as fans see the bigger picture or upside that exists in a player. There is a bright light around this player, above average skating, above average quickness and agility, an above average strength, a great demeanour and sense of Team. I embrace the fact he probably doesn’t like to fight,. He doesn’t have to.. but he does if nessesary.. Tryamkin will help shape the Canucks when he arrives, his Coach calls him a Man of Iron.. too bad WD didn’t give more accolades to this player.
  15. I think Bromberg is highly underrated, with a ceiling of potential he hasn’t reached yet.
  16. He conditioned here for 4 weeks, could have played at anytime. I watched him in pre-season and he really did not stand out as unfit. Just my opinion but I think Desjardins made a bigger deal out of that than what it really was.. If I was a professional HockeyCoach, for one.. I would never throw a player to the wolves of journalists in this town, or under the bus.. which is what Desjardins did. THAT. Should have remained in the locker room. THAT. Damage continues on, as it does almost 3 years after the fact.. with posters like ourselves still hashing it over. Desjardins did damage. Labeled the kid.
  17. It’s seems a bit Oxy- Moronic to me,. And please , that’s not to sound insulting... .. “but you do that all the time, because it’s better for the bigger picture” . Tryamkin does for the same reason and you say it sends a selfish message. . I say it brings what was a young 21 -22 year old back as a 25 year old ready to be the Stallward Man of a Man that is ready to absolutely crush the men who would have taken advantage of his young impressionable young mind. It is his career,. I’m sure he is looking out for the best person involved. He has Swagger,. and there has been very little on this team,. It’s needed. The sooner the better now.
  18. Can a viral-video sensation put Japanese hockey on the map? https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/aito-iguchi-japanese-hockey-prospect-big-read/ its hockey, anything is possible.
  19. We’re back on the Ferris Wheel every time you bring up all this “Jilted Lover Jargon” Stawns. How is he high drama,.. ? Because he is not here,. and hasn’t had a Canucks Jersey on for 2 years,. When he was here, he didn’t refuse a conditioning stint,. Benning, after the meeting with Tryamkin and Diamond, said to the press that they asked him to go to Utica for 2 games. Benning said Tryamkin posed some interesting questions that made sense and that it was Tryamkins RIGHT not to go because he didn’t have to. Benning stated that it made more sense for Tryamkin to stay with the Canucks rather than fly to the East Coast for 4 or 5 days and return, and that management agreed with the player. It seems that Desjardins was the only one that took issue with Tryamkin,. Let’s not forget, they FIRED Desjardins and offered Nikita a new contract with the Canucks worth over double the amount of money he is making now in the KHL. He didn’t leave for money. I have never seen or heard of an “interveiw” where he derides a Coach of the Canucks, Management or Franchise.. that is just False, Wrong and an outright lie,. And I ask you to please offer me the quotes from Tryamkin where you say this happened . I would be happy to read, see , or hear this. I find it absolutely amazing how you feel you can slag a player,. Yet still be happy to have him back.. and it’s been going on for 2 years. If that’s not “band wagon”.. it’s “back alley”.
  20. Is Binnington a Vezina candidate? I realize this is his rookie year for Calder,. But the kid is sensational.
  21. That would be,. His game is similar to Tanner Pearson, perhaps a little grittier , no?
