  1. Either Lou pays too much, Or he goes UFA and is thoroughly disappointed in his decision not to sign here , especially for the latest reported offer was at 7.5 x 7. His position here is gone. He is not coming back.
  2. I’ve said I wouldn’t be surprised to see him Traded after 3 more seasons, if we aren’t in Cup contention.. it’s attrition how it should be.
  3. That not what I’ve said.. but again , you do you, and spin it , Drance or Patterson or whoever you are ..
  4. No.. I’m saying he was the better player to keep . They all make mistakes, even your golden boy Bo
  5. It’s NOT revolving around a single season of work. It’s historic, which show’s consistency. JT ‘s 4 seasons previous to this add up to consistency. Bo’s are those of a 2 Center. This season should not alter that unless he is willing to sign a 2 year deal.…. Something he won’t do because he himself wouldn’t be sure to keep the pace of this single season alone.…. And your forgetting who was usually dishing him the puck on the pp. The right guy is gone. It’s fine, never coming back , adios.
  6. Folks don’t have a say in it Nuts.. it’s a bigger picture than that. Bo’s historical play , and submissive demeanour simply does not offer this team anything close to 8m. It’s Money better spent elsewhere .
  7. BtW, You’ll never win with a guy like Bo , unless he’s complimenting the right powerhouse team.
  8. Raty will be better than Bo inside or at 3 years in the NHL , his curve up will be stronger , he will also turn out to be our best Center ( positional/ F0 %) Beauville is looking for more ice time, wants it, it’s the only reason he has regressed. He will be flying out there, I actually think he is a better skater than Ilya Mihkey ( healthy I do think we’re going to package that draft pick for a proven D man ( if it’s this years pick). If it rolls over, I think we’ll keep it.. I only see the Isles getting worse now.
  9. Well his whole career is about 1.0 ppg ,. The bigger part of the TEAM is “sophomore”, and has more things to work on.
  10. That’s a childish attack? perhaps your a bit childish taking it that way. I just find what your saying so full of holes it’s un-credible, and the way you spin and explode 1 player into being the ultimate degenerative plague of a team absolutely laughable. .. maybe you do make money at this? ps. Nice to know my “pronunciation” and “punctuation” annoys you . YOUR welcome.
  11. Virtannen would have done worse in the AHL, and as a matter of fact, gotten into far more trouble because of his personal nature. The AHL is less stringent on players personal lives, at least when they arrive to the NHL , some players do get looked after by Vets even better.
  12. No, he’s not 38 yet either, but if you cross the age lines over, to this point they’re similar or perhaps better for JT.
  13. You went from comparing 2 Teams you watched last night and seeing a lack of execution,. To comparing it to a single player that you seem to want to blame for everything associated with his team. That’s interesting. And actually if you cross over the age timeline, You might find this year and the previous seasons we’ve had JT , do cross over to Pavelskis.
  14. Maybe go back 4 seasons, you’ll see the consistency they were looking at, that usually gives you an idea of trajectory.. not just the previous season. the alternative to sign Bo at 8.5m for a single a single season ( this one ), is what your basing your argument about. Thats a deal you don’t make.… and then the declining age / asset hypothesis, and Miller and Horvat are roughly 2 years apart.. these are athletes, professional ones.. this isn’t pre- school and someone saying “that” kid is too big for the sandbox. They all have their own unique journey.
  15. To answer your last question first, perhaps management is telling other teams he’s not available? I also think management wants him as their Vet presence , we can go on comparing the Sedins, Horvat and Naslund for being “strong silent types.… but I don’t think that has won us anything , and to have someone vocal, and intense , and willing to engage, Is better than having a leader or Captain watching his teamates take punches . Why a surprise ? Miller likes it here and openly said he wants to stay. We did get a good deal , 4-5 years now and his points are there, speaking for themselves. His production has never really waivered, that’s consistency, not something I see looking at Bo’s production.. great to have a break out year, but where has he been? I think Bo will drop off before Milller does, and Miller will still be putting up decent numbers , when Bo wanes from this season. Miller did seem to put it on his stick a lot this season,. But I haven’t looked at stats for that. .. you know how I stand with this and I see no reason to be re-gurgitating the same opinions ,. No offence intended.…. Im just surprised more people didn’t see this outcome even before Miller signed here. It’s about a culture change,. and there is probably 2 more players to be parting ways from the Canucks , to have gotten rid of the old culture we had. Erase the past, Then the change begins. Ps. Beauviller will respond well to more ice time , Raty will turn out to be our best Center (positional) in 2 to 3 more seasons.…. And that pick we grabbed, I think we shop it for the D man we e been missing ( perhaps add to the pick) that’s how I think this is going to unfold further.
  16. Apparently the broken ribs was a viscious attack by Messier on Linden far away from the play . no ref or camera caught it .. id be happy to proven wrong though
  17. It’s been noted on here (stats included) that Bo and Millers defensive games are at par. The other thing is , you / we have no idea how Miller might react to this .. my guess is he shows Tochett he can take charge and make an even better impression on the young core that have stepped up to mimic his game aggressively,. Not Horvats. That punch to Garlands Face , right in front of Horvat, was a knife twisting in JR’s ribs.. Horvat doing nothing showed he did it deserve to lead. I hope the Captaincy goes to Miller. I can almost guarantee Miller is traded in 3-4 years, not because of decline,. But because of assets needed if we aren’t a playoff bound team. He will bring an even better deal and better 1st round pick than what Horvat has. Time for Miller to shine !!
  18. The lost year that got lost surrounding this trade , was 2004 .. yes the year Naz got his concussion, and Bert was suspended indefinitely. That was a solid cup contending team. shoulda coulda woulda . Bert should have been forgiven here, and let retire a Canuck.
