  1. Let get over this shake down on CDC quickly .. the best thing is it puts a lot of pressure on management now, it can go nowhere else.
  2. To add to this…. I think Kuzmenko’s talent has not reached his ceiling .. I think this change will bring out the best in him, and being fast and more selfish is part of that process. must say Gonchar here to support the russian contingent is long , as in 88 long, Over due .
  3. I don’t think it’s a question of who won’t survive, It’s who dosent have the ability to engage emotionally, physically, and skillfully on this club.. Tocchet will let them run, but pay attention to not wearing them out,. I think we see a closer F1 F2 forecheck…. and line changes exiting hot around the 1 minute mark .. I think the big D change we’ll probably see is a more step up engagement, close gap , and shut down asap . Foote and Gonchar may be perhaps bring the biggest impact to this team. Bo needs to engage more physically, but given his situation ,. It’s all hindsight now. Boeser,. Like what @Alflives said , is overweight and / or skates like it. was interesting to see Foote and Gonchar having a meeting on ice with the D men.. just got the feeling they said we’re going to try to turn your thoughts to be a Defence that commits Offences. Im over the change…. But so disappointed in Rutherford ( not Aqua) .. but Rutherford shooting his egotistical mouth off since he’s been here, THAT. is what has undermined this team and Coaching staff,. he kept the Coach on eggshells from the time he arrived. a real piece …
  4. The thing with that is that it’s one of possibly 3 options for him…. Yes he does it consistently, but what isn’t happening is the skater / point man should be moving towards Miller when he makes his forward stride. as much as it looks like a blind pass ,. It’s a pre set play , practiced .. and the point man needs to turn his switch on, and not stand still. Its not one guy.. it’s a 2nd person / shooter option , with the point man active, who should also be talking to Miller.
  5. this management group is beyond recognizing a fire in the score clock .. and this is an example of deflecting blame on to others who were not culpable.
  6. I think it’s mechanical with Boeser , He is not skating like he was, his mobility is not what it was 2-3 years ago.
  7. So your actually agreeing with me , Management does not have an assessment of players , it’s their job, not a Coaches. Coaches can come with needs and offer opinions. This management group has no vision and are now looking for a new / outside their circle of love to get it. then what, blame a Coach again? They can’t change anything, except make the trades that are in front of them to make , or lose for nothing. it’s a smoke screen Bouds.
  8. We could have rode this out with Bruce. The changing that has to happen is in Management’s hands ,it has been, and always will be.
  9. I’m going to reserve my comments on hiring Tochett as a head coach,. But even with a better line up than this.. I don’t think he’ll get the room. I can appreciate more than anything defensive coaching changes,. This aspect has been weak for many years. Perhaps this group of D coaches are vocal to management about their player needs to establish a core of fearless back Enders. The real issue is still with JR and an entire management group not moving away from players they should have last Summer. (a small example of that would have been keeping or Re acquiring Motte and letting Boeser go home or trading him closer to that.) Th pressure is still on this management group to make changes, this coaching change is a smoke screen . Nothing will change until that happens, proving moving away from Boudreau was wrong , and he deserved Management , namely Rutherford to do his job with player management, and not cut down Bruce like he has since Rutherford’s arrival. Rutherfords ego is inflated , he should retire. it’s expected as he was only hired to bring in a management team,. That is now bursting at the seams and doing very little it seems except look like henchmen and hags in the Brass Box.
  10. J Rutherford is the one who should be leaving. He Has undermined Boudreau and his position since the Summer , not offering Bruce a contract extension in a time frame to show confidence to the Man and his Players. Thst is when this went wrong. Add to that a new management group top heavy and the fact they aren’t going to start pointing fingers at each other…. The Country Club Culture has now migrated to Head Office, and is “thumbs down” to everyone below themselves. Easy Save Alvin. Bruce does not need to go . The moves management needed to make in the Summer were a lost opportunity. If that is their brain trust, next season will be brutal.
  11. Something I’ve never understood about asking for the reply to find goaltender interference, If you lose the challenge: Your penalized. If you win the challenge: The goal dosent stand (naturally), but there is no penalty for the interference ? only in the NHL
  12. I’m calling J R , Mr Potato Head from now on, a coaching change is a smoke screen. perhaps we can have a Mr potato head toss between periods for the rest of the season. Mr Potato Head was supposed to be here to pick a Manager and exit ,. I think his ego is killing us at every level.
  13. Boudreau does not need to go. Fanbase can ride this out with Bruce. Management needs to do some work, manage, and stop deflecting blame. Tochett. Is a schmuck.
  14. There is No Need to discard Boudreau. This is the classic case of upper management, growing themselves into an agreeable entity to deflect negative issues that are consequential of themselves as a group , and agree to make a single lead hand the owner of their negligence. Bruce can Coach, but this ballooned management group can not manage this situation properly. Easy for them to blame someone else . Id start a chant …. “Good Bye J R “ !! I was hoping Smyl would have got this management for the last 10 years.. a man keen on the culture this city identifies with.

  16. Not straight up , but things can revolve and evolve around 2 main characters in play.
  17. Power will be commanding a lot of money in his young career , right around when Dahlin will command 9 m or better.
