  1. Don't think so. I tend to say exactly what I feel. It causes problems sometimes lol. But I am pretty sure that Podz is not nearly as sad as you are that he is playing in the KHL playoffs.
  2. Are you sure you are not maybe projecting a little?
  3. Yeah, there's that. Plus there are so many different ways bodies can malfunction. As the years go by, we get to learn the names of more and more body parts and ailments that we wished we hadn't lol.
  4. If and when you get a bit older, you will find that doctors do not have a Star Trek style scanner that instantly, precisely and accurately diagnoses any and all ailments. You will find that some issues are very difficult and time consuming to pinpoint precisely, let alone provide a timeline for recovery.
  5. Actually, what we want is for professionals to be honest, competent, consistent, and to take responsibility for their actions. Not a viewpoint that you seem to share. I must have missed the post that you were evidently responding to where someone apparently suggested that the game be stopped for every single tiny infraction. Maybe you could quote that post?
  6. That's pretty funny coming from someone whose sole source of amusement appears to be saying stupid things for the purpose of trolling Canucks fans.
  7. I thought I saw somewhere that it was his wrist.
  8. What a disgustingly dishonest pile of crap.
  9. Well, the "realistic fans" generally suggest bullying any unwanted players who have NMCs/Full NTCs into moving when they don't want to. So I guess the idea here would be to "make him an offer he couldn't refuse" with a horse's head in the bed or explicit threats on his life of those of his family, to force him to sign a new contract. Remember, you can get whatever you want from negotiations, regardless of what the other party wants and who has the leverage, if you are just stubborn and obnoxious enough. Lol.
  10. If I were Tram, I would be pretty insistent on a 2 year term, which would end while I was still (barely) in my 20's, where it is easier getting a big long term contract than in your 30's. It's all very well to talk about what we want/would like to see in a contract, but it takes two to tango.
  11. Absolutely it would have. But since we have his rights for another year, and he has already missed years worth of NHL paycheques, including at least one more year than he was planning on, JB has the leverage on him now.
  12. Yes it is obvious. Although you seem to have missed the point when you state that "we are stuck with him", which is equally silly. So why do you keep spouting that "top 6 quality, top 6 pick" nonsense? The only reason for whining about Jake's draft position is to take a shot at Benning. If you want to whine about how incompetent the guy who acquired Petey, Huggy, Brock, JT, Schmitt, Hogs, Pods, etc. for us is, maybe you should post it in one of the endless "We hate JB and we always will no matter what he does" threads.
  13. I sure see a lot of this "top 6", "top 6", nonsense. Have you guys never heard of the concept of "sunk cost"? Once you have acquired assets, it does not matter at all how much you paid for them, because there is nothing at all you can do to change that; all that matters is how much value they have now. What draft picks or other assets we used to acquire Jake or Lind or Jasek or any other player have no bearing whatsoever on their value to the team. Any post that uses their draft position from years ago to measure their current value is beyond silly.
  14. The sarcasm meters are malfunctioning tonight.
  15. I described a couple of critically important plays as "he fell down" and "he just hung around", and the only thing you could see wrong with the post was my English? Wow. By the way, I believe you meant to say, "seriously". You are welcome.
  16. This sounds a lot more reasonable than all the suggestions for cheap long term contracts. While I would love it if he would agree to 7 x 2M or something like that, I would imagine he is fairly confident in his abilities, and I just can't see him choosing to limit his potential lifetime earnings so significantly. I expect he will sign for 2 - 3 years at 2 - 3 Million per year, planning on a big payday after demonstrating his NHL value.
  17. Don't see what the big deal is about this kid. I looked at those clips and what did he do? In one he fell down. And in the other he just hung around with his butt in the goalie's face waiting for his linemates to score. What use is a guy that? That idjit JB shoulda got one of the guys what scored the goal.
  18. I am sure he will. And when he has a bit more experience, I expect that we will see him in OT.
  19. I kind of agree, but the reason could be because he still seems to be a bit impatient. Sometimes he tries to force a play that isn't really there, which in OT causes odd man rushes and breakaways the other way.
  20. I understand that you are trying very hard to appear clever. For future reference, the phrase is "case in point". Good try though.
  21. The fact that he is effective at both positions improves the chances that we will at least see him.
  22. I am sure that JB will appreciate Friedman reminding him of this. Probably JB wasn't even aware that Ian's contract was expiring, and was even less aware that Ian has any value to the team. Because as our "realistic fans" never get tired of pointing out, JB is just a blind squirrel fumbling around aimlessly and occasionally getting lucky. It it is critical that we dump JB immediately, before he throws away all the great assets he has been fortunate enough to have fall into his lap despite his clear incompetence. Ideally we get rid of him before the entry draft, because without Brackett there to hold his hand, his employment history makes it clear that he has no clue whatsoever about how to evaluate the quality of young players.
  23. Seems kind of moot, since he was adamant several years ago that he was not willing to play in the AHL, even for a conditioning stint. It seems extremely unlikely that after a full season in the NHL followed by several years playing in the KHL at a higher level than the AHL, he would now be willing to squeeze his huge frame into bus seats not designed for his size, for the team's convenience.
  24. I would like to see a 3 - 4 year deal too, but I don't really see that happening. If I were Tram I would be fairly insistent on a 2 year term, for various reasons. I am sure that he would be pretty confident in his abilities, so locking in the best years of his career at Covid 19 / not fully proven in the NHL salary rates, is not going to be very appealing to him. It seems most likely that he will want a show me deal that is long enough to reacclimatize to the NHL and show his value (ie: 2 years) and then to sign a long term big dollar contract while he is still (barely) in his 20s and has the best possible leverage.
  25. It is certainly possible if he continues to improve the way he has been. Within a couple of years he has gone from looking a bit lost at the AHL level to being rather dominant. His progression is looking very positive. I had actually almost written him off after his first (somewhat underwhelming) pro year, but now he is one of our better prospects.
