  1. Yeah, I thought he had a decent game. Ridiculous to whine about how he was acquired 7 years ago. Some people have no concept of sunk cost. Were Bure, Hansen and Burr less valuable because they were 6th and 9th round picks and an undrafted UFA? Were Josh Holden, Nathan Smith, Patrick White, Nicklas Jensen, etc., more valuable because they were 1st round picks? Lol.
  2. I understand that truth is a rather fuzzy concept for you, but those of us who are Canucks fans, rather than trolls, actually watch the games. The player you claim will not play any time this year, played for us last night. A hint for you: the more competent trolls avoid making stupid statements that can be easily disproven.
  3. To those who want everybody fired and the team blown up to start all over from scratch, the Aquilini family did not accumulate the assets to acquire a billion dollar sports franchise by making stupid knee jerk reactions to temporary situations. So don't hold your breath.
  4. Yeah, no sense waiting to see how our young stars look when they are grown up, best to dump them all immediately and convert them to draft picks so we can get into permanently-rebuilding mode.
  5. Sure^^, because as we know, it's really easy to replace point-per-game players, so when one of ours has a slump, JB should immediately dump him and grab another one. And of course this season's one month sample size of Miller's play is far more significant than last year's whole season sample size.
  6. Why do you choose to say stupid things like that?
  7. It's also the most likely scenario. I wonder if all the "realistic fans" who have been crapping on Green will apologize when it comes out that OJ was nursing a minor injury?
  8. Sure gets stinky in here whenever the team is on a losing streak. Smells like being under a bridge where filthy unwashed trolls congregate to urinate and defecate on various members of the organization. Time for the Canucks to come up with a dominating performance to shut up the clowns at least for a while.
  9. And every team could have drafted Datsyuk, Hasek, Brett Hull, Gilmour, Jamie Benn, Gaudreau, etc, etc. So almost every player drafted before them were fails.
  10. So OJ's excellent development and progress means that Green may not be back next season. Sounds totally logical. And you are willing to bet that new management comes in during the off-season. Wish you were a real person who I could actually collect from, because I would love to take the other end of that bet.
  11. Geez, every post you write, you look a little more disgusting. Yeah, it sure was unreasonable of us all to get excited over 3 consecutive Calder finalists, including one Allstar Game MVP, one Calder winner, and one Dman who at the ripe old age of 21, is currently leading the NHL in D scoring. And even more so to get excited over this year's possible (record breaking 4th consecutive) Calder nominee.
  12. Don't forget Hogs, who is starting to look like a home run for a second round pick. And if/when Tram comes back and plays the way I think he will play, he will be looking like a home run for his draft position. As far as calling OJ a home run, it might be a bit premature yet, but it seems only fair considering how many times he has been called a bust, a miss, a strikeout etc. You can't let the haters have everything their way. While I wouldn't really call him a home run yet either, if your only choice was between calling him a home run or a bust at this point, which sounds more accurate?
  13. So you would have blazing straight line speed, thunderous hitting, a great shot, agility, elite vision and hockey IQ, immensely high skill level and dogged determination, all combined in one bizarre package with 4 arms, 4 legs and 410 pounds of scariness. Yikes!
  14. Hogs has the same tenacity and work ethic as Hansen but with a much higher skill level. If you remember Hansen as a younger player, you will recall that one of his nicknames was "Stone Hands", not the type of nickname Hogs is ever likely to get because his skill level is clearly far superior to Badger's. Obviously it remains to be seen if Hogs will have as good/long a career as Hansen, but there is no question that Hogs is a better player.
  15. Smitty is finally looking like he is starting to fit in. His play has been rather underwhelming to start the season, but with a new team, no preseason, almost no training camp, and no time to practice or rest, that was an easily foreseeable situation. We are seeing more and more of the top quality Dman we traded for as he gets more comfortable with his new team. I have to to laugh at the posters on this page who are whining about his play and his salary, taking their last chance to hate on him, JB and Baumer while they still can, before he adapts to the point where whining about him becomes obvious trolling.
  16. Of course OJ will be protected, which is probably why the poster you are responding to described him as a "lock" to be protected.
  17. Not to mention that the versatility to be able to play different positions increases the value of almost any player.
  18. Again, what would be the purpose/benefit of that?
  19. Sounds more like he didn't dodge fast enough.
  20. No draft in 2021 at all? What a bizarre idea. What would be the purpose of that?
  21. Posts like this are the signature of a troll. You are a truly disgusting person. Is your life really so pathetic that this is how you need to get your jollies? Onto the ignore list with you.
  22. I was listening to the hosts on AM650 yammering about how this slump unquestionably meant that JB is history, just a question of when, this week or next, when they got the breaking news about Aquaman' supporting tweets. It was hilarious how annoyed they were that the owner had shot down their nonsensical speculations. It was obvious that they had planned the bulk of their show to be about who will be JB's replacement, so they more or less ignored Aqua's statement, to continue with the same nonsense. This thread reminds me of that; a small handful of Benning hating clowns, repeating nonsense endlessly, ignoring facts, logic and context. And a group of Canucks fans taking the bait and trying to reason with the haters.
  23. For someone as blatantly dishonest as you are, you certainly get upset when you are called on it.
  24. If you don't know that tenacity was the single biggest attribute of their games that got them onto the team and moved them up the lineup, you clearly were not paying attention. No matter how many times you move the goal posts to yammer on about "better than" and "impact", that's not going to change. And of course nobody claimed that Burr or "Stone Hands" Hansen were more skilled or had more impact than Hogs in their first year. That's just a straw man argument, which is a tool used by dishonest people.
  25. One thing that can be counted on for sure: the same posters who are whining about how stupid the Canucks were for not signing Markie would be whining just as loudly about how stupid it was to give him 6 years with a NMC if we had signed him. Given their relative ages and the age of our core, keeping Demko is a way better choice than committing to Markie until he is 37, regardless of how good Markie is this year.
