You were eh?. So where does this, "Ive never seen that tenacity from a first year Canuck EVER" come from? Tenacity defined Burr's and Hansen's games in the beginning of their careers. Erecting a straw man / changing "tenacity" to "as good as", as you did here, is not very honest. Or do you perhaps really not understand the difference between tenacity and skill?

That whole line looked excellent. The hardcore Louie and Jake haters must be just steaming right now.

Nobody wrote Markie off, that's just trolling crap. It is no surprise that he is looking well worth signing this year, what those of us who want the team to do well were concerned about was the idea of giving 6 years term with a NMC to a 31 year old. Aside from meaning we would lose Demko in the ED, it would be almost a guarantee that years before that contract is finished, it will be an albatross.

I guess you weren't watching the Canucks when Burr and Hansen were new, playing on a checking line with Kesler.

The team has been in a slump for weeks. Surely it's not nearly enough just to fire the coach and GM; time to gut the team too, trading everybody for draft picks so we can finally have a "proper" rebuild. Even though they have clearly peaked and are in decline, we might be able to get decent prices for Petey, Huggy, Bo, Brock, etc, if we act fast before the rest of the league realizes what we clever armchair GMs know, that they are all worthless.

It's not that unusual for skilled forwards to play their off wing, especially in Europe.

So after many years the Canucks finally have two top pairing Dmen. Since the team is playing poorly, the obvious thing to do is to get rid of our extremely young number one offensive Dman. Heck, let's get rid of both our top pairing Dmen; the team would obviously be better off without them. This is such simple logic that any simpleton would agree.

That was really impressive. It looked like everybody on the ice except for him was moving in slow motion.

I have never known him to be dishonest. Can you point to any incident when he was not honest?
-
Yes, it did show JB's true colours. He was completely honest, as he is known to be (having been fined 50k a few years ago for being excessively honest). Clearly honesty is not something you value.
-
He does that to annoy the Canucks fans. He is a blatant troll, who has no respect for truth at all when he is busy crapping on various members of the team, the staff and management.
-
I agree that OJ hasn't looked at all out of place. But Green might have good reason for sitting him, like for example he might be a bit banged up with a minor injury. I am certainly not about to vilify Green without knowing the facts.
-
Obviously anyone suggesting that we trade Huggy after waiting half a century to finally aquire a Dman of his quality is a blatant troll. Better if you don't feed the troll.

He sounds like he already speaks better English than many CDC posters. I have a feeling that he is itching to get over here, although that could be projection. And hopefully Tram no longer needs much tutoring.

Larionov was a steal in retrospect, but at the time the Iron Curtain was still in place, so players like Igor who were locked behind it were very risky picks because you might never see them out of the USSR. There was never any doubt about his skill.
-
Right, because NHL players never read social media and are machines who don't have feelings. And who don't care whether fans like them or detest them.

Yeah, well you know that it is very important for the "realistic fans" to crap all over any UFAs we sign, to ensure that Vancouver is a desirable destination for free agents. But have no fear, it's not just UFAs, they will be crapping all over Linus too, whenever he goes through a tough stretch.

I would say by practising together, and I expect that the players and coaches would agree. Like when someone is learning to drive or swim, some instruction first is better than immediately throwing them in the deep end or sticking them behind the wheel. Sometimes a team gets into a slump as a result of insufficient time off for rest and practice, especially when there are new players who have zero time working with their new teammates.
-
Yeah, for sure if they had had as much rest and practice time as the rest of the league, they would be getting killed. As every "realistic fan" like you is aware, teams play far better when they have no time at all to rest, practice, and integrate their new players into the lineup than they do with a regular schedule. Or were you referring to how much more difficult it would be to take brief hops down the coast to play powerhouses like Anaheim, LA and San Jose than it is to fly thousands of kms crossing multiple time zones to play pushovers like Montreal, Toronto and Winnipeg?

Green and his assistants - not the men for this job

Do you seriously believe that the clowns who get their jollies by crapping all over various members of the Canucks organization would actually put their money where their mouth is and pay up when they lose? Good luck with that.
