I guess you mean a really big meteor, not just a little one hitting Brock.
-
Green has been coaching him for a year already and seems to be happy with his play. Why would having him available on the big team throw a wrench into Green's plans?
-
You are right about what JB said, but what he did not say was that if a player shows he appears to be ready (in training camp) they will throw away assets to make room immediately. No contradiction.
-
Yeah, a 1 or 2 year one-way contract seems the most likely.
-
Thanks for the info, which was pretty much what I thought, but reading the details raised another question. What happens to his rights if he drops out before "the graduation of his college class"?
-
Actually I know exactly what I mean to say. And no I don't think chemistry is magic. It typically results from experience playing with each other. The more experience players have playing together, the better they understand what their partner will do in any given situation, ie: the better their chemistry. If you don't understand that a lifetime of playing together combined with very high hockey IQs has resulted in the twins having better chemistry together than almost any duo in history you really should watch them play sometime. Maybe count how many "no-look" passes they make in an offensive zone shift and watch how accurate they are, and compare that to those that other players make.
-
Chemistry is knowing EXACTLY what the other player is doing and where he's going to be WITHOUT needing to look. The twins have better chemistry than almost any duo ever. This is probably the biggest component of "Sedinery". If this is news to you, maybe you should watch them play sometime.
-
Certainly possible. On the other hand though, we all thought Bieksa needed to be traded back in 2010-11 when the team had what seemed like too many good defensemen. Injuries kept room in the lineup. Wouldn't be a shock to see that happen again, considering how many injuries hit the Canucks blue line every year.
-
They each need to look to see where the other is before passing, unlike when the Sedins play together. That slows their play down, making it easier to defend against.
-
Obviously not. Yeah, looked like 315 lbs to me. Pretty amazing if it was.
-
Think I would want to see how he looks in camp before making a decision about where he plays. But then, I'm not psychic, so I prefer to deal with facts.

2017 NHL Draft - Chicago, Illinois June 23-24 2017

Sounds good. We could use a replacement for that guy we had to trade to Florida for Jovocop. I miss that excitement too. -
That was one of his signature plays. But the one that was the most fun to watch was when he skated the puck forward. He must have been very good at head fakes, because it looked like he was just skating slowly straight forward with the puck, and as the defenders approached him, they would veer off to the side, as if he had a force field around him. If OJ turns into a player like Lumme, I will have no complaints at all.

It certainly wouldn't be a shock. Especially considering that in the current NHL trade market, it's easier to trade a surplus defenseman for a similar quality centre than the other way around. -

Of course JB doesn't have the comprehensive in-depth knowledge of all the top prospects that you guys have. Nor does he have your experience at assembling a Cup winning team. You guys should offer him your expertise to make sure he doesn't screw up. -
Don't know. But it would be a nicer problem to have than deciding which AHL-quality player goes on which line.
-
It would be really nice if all that work paid off and he made the team this year. Could happen.
-
I expect Bo to be facing the other team's top checkers right from the beginning of the season. That's likely to minimize his point improvement until he fully adapts. The twins on the other hand, will not be facing the top checkers, so I expect their point production to bounce back next season.

That's rather bizarre. That may or may not mean that the weights for that group are overstated as well. How useful. Nice to see that Buttman's maintaining the high quality of professionalism in the NHL. -
"Police" is an uncountable noun. "The grammar police" would be correct, as would "a grammar policeman". "A grammar police" is bad English. And that's the end of today's English lessons.
-
I'm sure in your mind that's true. I realize you are angry because I implied you are a troll when you down repped a fair comment by a Canucks fan. I apologize for that. I can see now that you are not a troll, you are doing the best you can with the mental resources available to you.
-
Thanks for the lesson junior. Feel free to doubt whatever you want. I was poking fun at the clowns who like to make up their minds and state absolutes (about how terrible Jake and other Canucks prospects are) based on small amounts of data taken out of context, I am not actually stupid enough to believe that a 5 game sample holds much significance, hence the "For What It's Worth". If you thought I am that stupid, you were projecting. By the way, "not to be a grammar police" is pretty poor grammar. If I were to use bad grammar to correct somebody's grammar, I would be very embarrassed. Are you capable of feeling embarrassment?
-
I'm sure you did. I will try to remember to put in emojis to help out people like you in the future. For future reference, when someone says FWIW, it generally means that it is not worth very much.
-
You read that correctly. I thought that would have been obvious to anyone who wasn't completely braindead. From the outrage among some of the haters I guess it is necessary to put in emojis to allow the more simpleminded of the posters to recognize humour.

FWIW Jake's AHL PPG is way better than Horvat's. And Bo seems to have managed to overcome his poor Utica point production.
