      I’m not that high on Lafreniere or care about his draft rank. But he could be something one day. 
       

      Miller already is and will be for a while. Especially when you signed Panarin to a win-now contract.

      @N4ZZYIt has to be in an interview somewhere, as the boys on SN650 were referring to it last week when talking about keeping Bo or J.T.

      K there’s a few other teams that will blow that offer out of the water.

      Rutherford is probably asking for Lafreniere and Schneider, and NYR aren't willing to part with both. Or even one, unless we retain, etc, etc.

       

      Laf - maybe turns into a stud maybe gives us top 9 performance we don't know, but he could look well in a few years. Has decent size. Could be cap friendly. 

       

      Don't know anything about Schneider besides the fact that CDC really wants him. lol. and he has size, plays the right side? tough to play againt yadayadayada.

       

      I think a bidding war starts on JT and someone drastically overpays for him but he will make any current playoff team an instant contender its hard not do it for a lot of teams.

       

      I think we have to move on from him. Horvat said hes willing to take a cut for VAN on his next deal. OEL has a big contract but it I like OEL, he's very good. 

       

      I think if a GM thinks that JT Miller is the last piece they need, it will be an absolutely massive haul for Vancouver. JT isnt a question mark player anymore, hes a top point producer for his respective club. The NHL recognizes that for sure.

      I wouldnt consider a straight up Laf for Miller deal. Laf has not shown he can become that guy that Miller is.

    Why can we not place Ferland on LTIR right now? He basically confirmed he will never play again but he will be on IR till the start of the season? That extra 3.5mill would be great on cap savings

      He will be put on LTIR. We can spend the extra 3.5M of cap and be cap compliant by the start of the season by moving contracts to Abbotsford and LTIR. We have about 20M to work with after contracts are moved and LTIR.

    according to may calculations with 5 players cap friedly has on the canucks roster that will be in abbotsford and counting ferlands cap hit, canucks have about 20mil  to pay their 4 rfa's.

    So all Seattle came away with extra out of the ED was one 2022 4th? wow.

      So hard not to appreciate what Vegas did, looking at Seattle. 
       

      But realistically, it will be hard not to have a few “stars” develop out of who they have chosen given the amount of ice time and top line minutes they will receive in Seattle, one would think.

      Dhaliwal reported on donnie and dhali that theres quite a few teams looking for a goaltender, yes i've heard boston being a player. We dont retain salary for Seattle but I could see salary retention if there is an asset coming back.
