[Signing] Sharks re-sign Kevin Labanc

Makes sense. -
OP might I suggest putting all of your thoughts, nicely laid out, in one thread? With an appropriate title that addresses all of your concerns instead of making small ones, some of which hold little merit? More content=more conversation? Your last 3 threads could have been summarized as one and titled “My 2 cents on CBA, The Status Of Brock and Loui” etc. As I laid out for you already, you’re contradicting yourself here by basically stirring the pot yourself and, well, starting another rumour based on all the thoughts you’ve collected.

True! But im very happy to have Tyler Myers on my team, to each their own.
-
But you cant see Myers, or Benn, shart the bed even half as bad as 3 hits a season LE. Not a chance! What don't you like about Myers and what do you like? Why did he not continue his trajectory into a number 1 D after winning the calder? Is it being sheltered in Winnipeg, or poor coaching? I think if you look at a Beagle signing, he is a core BOTTOM piece, if that's a way you want to look at it.

I think Sven and even more, JT and Myers. I think of this year as a massive win in the draft and FA. Our team right now is FAR better, with the addition of JT Miller, Tyler Myers, Jordie Benn. You can not compare every free agent signing to Loui Eriksson.

I do not agree with Sutter, Granlund, Dahlen, Nilsson, Beagle, Dorsett? Really? There were teams bidding on Eriksson, not just us. Gudbranson was the second coming of Ekblad out of FLA when that trade went down. Beagle is a beast. Sutter is a good 3C issue is health and hes been playing on a rebuilding team for the past 3 seasons. Dahlen was a great win for Burrows, he lost patience, screw it. Lets see how linus pans out.We got games out of Granlund. Wheres Shinkaruk? I think a player in his prime in JT Miller is a safe bet. He plays fast and the right way. Hard to the net, stick down, ready for a shot, head up, squares up to the net. And hes hit constant 50 plus point seasons. So get this, the year before last, when he was traded to tampa, was the year he had 58 points. 40 of those were in NYR before he was traded so I don't think in this case his points were really inflated in tampa. Last year he missed 7 games, still had a decent 47 points. Myers, cmon. Kid won the Calder. He has hands, big body, if his defensive game is an issue, I am 100% confident in Nolan Baumgartner. He was lost behind Buff and Trouba, plain and simple. Benn is a solid 3rd pairing D man no way around it. Beast.

Free Agency, how it actually works. how it pertains to Boeser

Same reason why all of the other RFA’s haven’t signed yet. Negotiations. I don’t agree with your view of JT Miller being essentially the same as Eriksson. That is untrue on all levels, but I don’t know what exactly you were referring to when you’re calling them the same player. A player that’s hit 58? Points at 24-25 years old and is entering his prime and will be given ample opportunities to showcase himself in a western conference he is built for or the slow and aging overhyped Eriksson that doesn’t live up to his contract. -
[Signing] Tyler Myers to Vancouver
Johnny Torts replied to Rush17's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Heck yeah! He is a very good player and he's a C. great value in C, good teams have great depth in that position. Now, he did very decently before coming over from pitts, and what does the fanbase expect? For Brandon Sutter to turn water into wine while this team was rebuilding? Stats and numbers will be inflated on great teams, and will be absolute crap on the crap teams. Maybe not always to that extreme, but big picture. I like Sutter in our line up. Good kid. Wish well for his health. -

We all know this no? No one is freaking out over Brock Boeser besides the people that watch one game a year and don't know what the f is going on. -
Personally if we are having this conversation, bite the bullet, sell hard on LE (can barely spell his name ffs), trade Sutter for what value may be left and sign Ferland while he's available. MacEwen looks good but at this point we would still be gambling/rolling the dice on an unproven player, giving him a top 6 role right away, while we are trying to make the playoffs.

We win at least 18 Stanley Cups or until Pettersson retires!

Yo did you see Jordie though? Not ONE TIME did he think about puck. He was thinking body all the way. Clean. The underrated Benn for sure.

[Rumour] Laine in "deep talks" with Montreal
Johnny Torts replied to Baer.'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Maybe some team in the up and coming China leagues will sign him to PTO... -
Agreed. Labels are overrated.

I would consider Bo a PWF/2-Way Hybrid. He is, and would be considered that if he wasn't so dang useful everywhere on the ice. Love you Bo.
