  1. That's bull, asking for more to all the Canadian outside BC, European and American players that gave their all when they played for us?
  2. Ha-ha, why not state why people should like Virt more in the system, persuade them how Virt's size, skill, speed, and hitting is better than a player who can could score three times the rate.
  3. Ha, sure man I'll be watching him used in an energy role, and maybe even watch him kill a PK too.
  4. Your sarcasm is not really a sacracsm. I assure you even though "Virt" have an experience in the NHL or a medalist in a tourney that apparently didn't matter, if a player is better than him in that role I wouldn't use Virt. I wouldn't be surprised if Virt plays a 3rd or 4rth line role with his North South type of game, and won't probably be even put on the PK as he doesn't defend well enough. One piece of sugar is that he maybe used for PP unit, but of course only if his offensive positioning is better than most of the people around there.
  5. Ha-ha, make sense to me, no problem
  6. Depends on what you wanna hear really.
  7. Alright, no accountability for Virt till what? When he turns 25.
  8. Cept kesler was picked at 23rd overall. What are you actually expecting from a 6th.
  9. Not bad, he's much more dangerous if his back hand is decent
  10. Man, hope our bigger prospects do good in the NHL and develop their game the way hansen or burrows play(as I see most of the guys in Utica), so we could bring in skilled players.
  11. hope this guy is mentaly and physically tough
  12. Ha, it is interesting you mentioned smaller players, where I'm pretty sure we're only picked very low because they're from Europe or was because of their height. It maybe true, that a mean big body who can put up 50+ a year, is rare. Add to the fact that the average height of a NA or Uero people are around 5'11 to 6' which makes people around that size much more plenty. So a player has more control to his skill, but could not control how tall they would grow(genetics, etc)
  13. Gstank said it is easy to find elite skill in the draft.
  14. That's why we have burr, Hansen and other big bodies like gaunce.
  15. Ha-ha, hear that boys, you can do better than that, making PRE-CONCUSSION Booth and Virt comparisons.
  16. If they truly have good insights then why they couldn't figure out how Jake's offensive and defensive positioning is not good, add to the fact that his game doesn't even have a structure in it. I did not like the pick when it was made, I thought it was based mostly on his size, local kid, and his hitting, that made us pick him. I thought we could get some like him in the later round.
  17. Elite offensive skill, relatively easy to find. That seems difficult to believe. I mean if it is why don't we have one, cept McCann. I won't build a team on Jake judging in what he had shown when comparing with what other players at his draft class have done.
  18. Exactly why I scratched my head, how Virt was at 6th in some draft mocks, though there was a few where he was at 24, which I thought was fair. Perhaps judging a player for about 20 games as a scout and stat watching is not enough.
  19. Virt at 6 th overall made me scratch my head to.
  20. Every game, he would always commit one questionable penalty, I thought was completely unecessary. Need more composure for him to hold on to the puck a bit longer.
  21. Montreal has some a lot of 20 goal scorers yes, but I'm pretty sure the guys would generate more offence if they have a legit puck possession play maker.
  22. Boeser is the pick I'm most excited about just above McCann. Like McCann, there is a structure to his game and plays the game maturely. One other thing is he seems to have a great scoring mindset.
