No WE NEED Demkos help... we do got a great rep for goalie development so I really cant see why Demko would walk? He obviously knows he is our future plan. Markstroms play might just help us get another Horvat. Lets just hope JB does better with our star goalies than MG did.

I think he may surprise enough to play next season with us. The best approach would be to play him 2-3 years as an AHL starter, but Demko may force us to rush him. If he puts these stats up in his first AHL season there's no way he dont get a shot at the big club. Heck, we could be a Markstrom injury away from having Demko as a full time starter for us next year if Miller gets traded, which is a strong possibility. If SJ loses due to poor goaltending in the playoffs Miller will be a huge piece to offer. Miller (50%) 4th For 1st Riemer

Nylander will be no more after he takes a hit from Jake. Then where will all the Nylander fans be? Its very scary but Jake may end careers with clean hits. I dont see him as a dirty players, just a very tough kid. Players bounce off him even when their the ones trying to make the hit. Thats what i love about Jake. Any offence and defence is just bonus for me!

I dont understand why people are bashing Benning for this pick. He is a big skilled PWF who can snipe goals, he had 45g his draft year (i think?). So it was the best option for us IMO. The thing that probably made JB pick Virtanen over Ehlers is Virtanen is a hometown kid. Benning taking over the Canucks probably didnt want the fans hating him for not taking the hometown boy who was a player our team really needed. He reminds me a lot of Lucic, which is why we really need to sign him in the offseason. Another hometown skilled PWF like Looch would be a perfect mentor for Virtanen. Im kind of getting off topic now but ill continue lol.. If we were to sign Lucic in the offseason he would be great with the twins, he would put fear into the opponents so they will back off the twins physically which will allow them more time and space.
