      hughs is in school already

      and is likely training and practicing with his team there

      does not make much sense for him to come all the way up here

      for a very minor tourney

      when he has to pay his own way

      and miss out on school and his school team stuff

      NCAA players are not allowed to participate once school has already started.  They are also not allowed to play in games where another team is involved.
