Yes, he didn't deserve any repercussion. People saying "oh but they could play him harder and finish their checks". That's how they should be playing regardless of someone getting hooked (couldn't tell you the last time a hook called for someone to be beaten up). Should the canucks play hard, finish their checks, and be tough on stars? Yes. Should the canucks only do this after EP gets hooked? No they should always do it. Should the canucks send a goon to end the kids career for hooking EP? No.

Or maybe you and all the others saying this are wrong. The COACH said he watched it lots and it's his best player. Do you think he didn't talk to Petey about it? It was an awkward fall. CDC looks like a bunch of pathetic passive aggressive cry babies. I'm so f****** embarrassed to be associated with CDC sometimes.

The intent 100% matters.
-
That one was at least a really dirty play with an intent to hurt him. This was a weird hook and awkward fall.
-
Honestly this one is ridiculous, those of you calling for retribution just give your head a shake. It was a dirty play but what are you gonna send in guddy to drop a skinny 18 year old kid? All he deserved was a 2 minute penalty.

I only say 15 due to age

If Edler plays like this, I'm all for re-signing him to a 3 year $15M contract.
-
I was thinking this too. He said a very similar thing about Hutton at the end of last season and it sounded at the time like Hutton was going to be out of Van soon, but here we are watching Hutton have a career year. Here's to hoping Goldy can do the same, he's got what it takes and just needs to go for it.

Now with Leivo injured, Sutter comes in for him and Gaunce could still push for Schaller's spot. Goal and assist in Utica for him today.
-
Good to see him killin it in the A right now. Would like to see him take Schaller's spot.

I'm very impressed with Marky this season. He makes the team confident and he plays an aggressive style (which I personally like). What a fantastic game last night for him! If he keeps this up, Demko will have a hard time stealing the job away next year. That's best case scenario!

My post was after the Edmonton game where he had some amazing opportunities, good on him for being quick on the rush and in the right spot. I loved his game that game, but he missed the net on every shot he took unfortunately. He will get a lot of goals this year if he can stay with Bo. His shooting percentage is very low for his career average, he needs to get in the groove!

Woo was sensational last year during the WHL playoffs. I watched every game between MJ and SC, cheering for SC. Every time Woo came on the ice I got nervous, made me pretty happy when his name was called at the draft! He's gonna make it to the show.

I would like to see Roussel hit the net more. He had a bunch of opportunities yesterday and kept ripping it wide every shot.
-
Wonder what happens to him when baertschi gets back?
-
You've gotta think this guy is starting to lean toward the Canucks after this debacle of a season.
-
Yes and also the coaching staff trusts him so they design plays to highlight his skill now that they know he will get into a defensive position after they break out.
-
I noticed this later in the game, at one point I thought he was playing LW but nope just transitioning on the break out. It seemed like he did it way more that game though.

To all the left wing doubters, it's working.
