  1. Well they aren't, he rides the bottom of the barrel in most advanced stats, but as you said when considering his usage they are ok.
  2. His analytics aren't great, but ya. Also I did know it was sarcasm but was honestly surprised he led the team in that.
  3. I will say though, he was +8 leading the team in plus/minus on a TERRIBLE team.
  4. Why would we trade Sutter? He's extremely important right now, he can be trusted in any situation, doesn't make many mistakes, solid defensively, can put the puck in the net. Hey let's trade one of our most solid players when we finally have a chance of not sucking!
  5. Thanks, I totally took it that way. Still don't think it's a good argument, though maybe it wins a guy 1 game if people don't realize but that's it. Remember when Stecher had that one PP goal in his first season and everyone thought he was the saving grace, then next game he had his shot blocked every time he tried?
  6. Wow Ken, what a moron. "Hey guys don't talk about the best player you've had come into the organization in 20 years. Pretend he doesn't exist so he doesn't get sad."
  7. I think Green says things like this because he knows better than to say Goldy looks great and is nhl ready and have Goldy think he can keeo the status quo. Green just wants to make sure he keeps trying to get better.
  8. ^ Those guys likely wouldnt be able to translate that success point for point in the nhl though.
  9. Just gonna throw this out there. Virtanen got 19 points in the AHL in 2016/17, then got 20 points in the NHL in 2017/18. That is progress, significant progress. Not many players move to the show and get the same amount of points as they did in the AHL. He is getting better.
  10. Yea, we have tons of almost NHL calibre players.
  11. They gave the kid all of 10 minutes to prove himself, kinda bull****.
  12. I hope he clears waivers, he will crush it in the AHL. That Utica team is going to be unstoppable.
  13. Please prove me wrong and be good.
  14. I like 6 and 53, but I agree we are lacking sexy numbers haha! JV18 though, yea baby yeah! #bringback1demko
  15. Generally speaking "has peaked" means he will regress. Here are some examples:
  16. Schaller will do for us what David Price did for the Blue Jays.
  17. That would be impossible, unless scientists have some huge breakthroughs in the near future and, along with some intense plastic surgery, you can transform all of your bodily matter into that of a selected human being.
  18. If Gaunce has peaked, I'll post a picture of me eating fruit loops drenched in Varsal.
  19. I'm not sitting here saying Gaunce doesn't need to improve, what I'm saying is Gaunce is improving. He was injured half last season and people seem to have forgotten, thinking that he just sucked for the last 40+ games but in reality he didn't play them. I fully expect Gaunce to pick up where he left off prior to injury, which mind you he was playing well prior to his injury and only played a few games at the tail end of the season.
  20. How did I misuse them? I think you mean I used them and you don't like them. Regardless, I am happy to talk more about the players but not about whether or not you enjoy stats.
  21. What? You gave me nothing but an article from an angry old man that doesn't like stats. Nothing to do with Schaller, Gaunce or anything.
  22. Found this on the bottom of that "informative" article. Editor's note: A previous version of this article included a line that was offensive to women. We apologize. It was completely unacceptable and won't happen again.
