The fact that this forum is still open proves that closing it was more about controlling the narrative (and what is said on their platform) than it was about cutting costs, otherwise they would have closed it by now.

To be fair, the new forum was made by Stealth and the mods to keep our community together after this announcement.
 

We are the ones that pushed for members to switch as part of keeping the community together.

 

We have zero say in decision making in the Canucks org and we have zero say in when it closes.

Thank you to all the people who put in time and energy into supporting this forum.  I've been here since 04 I think (when it was on another platform, and eventually it was migrated over).  *Edit, I've been here since Jan 03!*

 

Have people talked about a discord channel or something to continue the Canucks talk?  There are so many other threads and forums too.  Politics talk, off topic talk, etc.

You’re a bit late to the party.

 

When this was announced in September, Stealth (and the rest of the mod team) started a new forum to replace this one and keep our community together. It’s been quite successful so far.

 

Now people just come here to troll and see if the powers that be have pulled the plug yet.
