I'm out. Having a discussion with people who have made up their minds that we are losers is exhausting. GCG!

No, but history would say so...I'm just riffing on that. He did coach Ovie in washington and he plays on his off side. So i'm my view Bruce would have tried JV there. Green's insistence on not playing him on his off wing was very confusing to me. He was drafted that way too. JV was a monster on the left side during his junior years. Then gets to NHL and barely gets a chance to play on his comfortable side. That to me would be a good way to start bringing him into the NHL..playing him in the position he is most comfortable with. I think the only season where Jake got to play on the left side was his first season, then after that no much.
So history but not fact.

I didn't really have an issue with Green's systems, they're very standard and have been very successful over the course of the modern era. Where Green lost was his treatment of certain players, Jake in particular.
Virt has all the tools and despite the claims otherwise, he had a pretty decent head for the game and had he been handled properly would be an impact player in the league.
Green completely ruined Jake, never letting him get off the wagon for things we saw other, more favoured, players doing as well. To me, that was his Achilles heel and ultimately, letting him do that with young players was JB's downfall as well.
JV completely ruined Jake, period.
And now he's in Siberia

And the fact that Bruce would probably play JV on his off side where he had literally ALL of his success from might have been enough to get JV going again...Greens insistence on playing guys on their "proper" side was just silly...play the guy where he feels the most comfortable...this isn't rocket science
That's fact??
Bruce would probably play JV on his offside? Where did that come from?

Come on. One can see just how little influence Shaw had during the games. A defensive minded coach was under a questionable defensive coach in Baumer. That says it all about TG. A coach that doesn't know how to maximize what he has. It actually reflects how poor he handled his rosters actually. You could have a Vezina-like goaltender like Demko and Green would find a way to make the team look like trash.
Your description is alot different than the statement, "TG was a Dick to Shaw"
As I said speculation not fact

100% and how blind was I lol but for me once I was able to see how they played away from TG it became noticeable right away.
What bugs me is Benning brings in Shsw but TG acts like a dick basically wasting a great asset that Jim brought in to help him.
That's the epitome of dumb.
When did TG act like a Dick to Shaw? Source? Or your speculating?
TG is gone, imho let it be, move on.

Heard Boeser and Di Giuseppe are going on covid protocol. This is horrific. Tough to tell how this season will go given the unlikely circumstance. Hope the whole team is healthy and everyone who has recovers from it. This is horrible news with the New Year on the horizon
Sorry but not horrific, it's COVID-19 and these athletes are double vaccinated, young and in their primes, imho they will be fine. The league and players union are determined to make a season of it.
Not understanding your other statement? what unlikely circumstances are you referring to?

I've read best defense is to be fully vaxed and then get covid. Apparently it's a much milder infection vs being non vaxed and one's body builds the best possible defense if you were already fully vaxed and then got covid..
Omicron is supposedly very mild and spreads like a wold fire. It's very easy to catch..
This variant might be nature's booster shot..

Rumors of a rift between Bo and JT when now they seem like tight bros.
We will never know
We will never know is correct.
Curious what's your source on your claim that FA fired TG and not JB
I must have missed that factual tid bit

Ok maybe "great players" is a stretch.
And not all were waived, some were traded like Dahlen
But Chatfield Dahlen Gadjovich Macewen
Off the top of my head. Not all would Crack our line up but we need all the D depth in the world and who knows what Chatfield would do under Boudreau.
Anyway now that I read this it's kind of a stupid pointless argument and I'm Just sour from 8 years of suck
Chatfield wasn't waived, he was a FA that signed elsewhere
But thanks for truth correcting yourself

Why did JB sit back and watch all his great players get waived without doing anything.
It was FA who fired Green not JB.
Maybe JB wasn't the drafting guru many thought because if he truly stood behind his draft picks he wouldn't let his coach toss them aside without recourse.
I'd say the longer this goes on the more credit i give to the scouting staff, not JB entirely.
Greens problems were JBs problems. Sh** rolls downhill and he did nothing to stop it.
Your still living in the past man
Great players? Who are these great players JB waived? If you mean ZMac Gadj JChat (FA) then take a look at Thier stats
Without doing anything? What does that even mean?
What's your source for FA firing Green?

One thing I will say for Steamer is that he is the one guy that seemed to be advising Aquilini that changes needed to happen weeks ago and possibly as far back as the off-season. Aquilini didn’t agree and opted to be patient. According to Stan as the losses kept mounting he knew that he had to go back to Aquilini and push harder. Stan seemed to be one the few advisers that see that the team has no identity. At least this was my take from the Aquilini/Smyl pressThat's your opinion granted, but frankly that's a lot of speculation. Any source other than "According to Stan"?

As long as Sutter is one of them, I am good with it. The ‘foundational’ player which turned out to be sand. Makes Tanev look like an iron man during his tenure here in comparison with all his injuries and health issues.
I assume you have heard Of COVID-19 and about some people suffering long term complications?

Boeser is just starting to find his game here again and Petey's value is extremely low right now. No team would trade for Petey right now due to the ask alone vs how he has been playing.
No team? i doubt that very much imo

Thanks. Looking at the same site. My only concern, with Boudreau is, his playoff record and it his teams failure in the playoffs, that has mostly been the reasons for his termination.
Anyways, very excited for his hiring.
hey, at least we wont have to worry about his playoff success this year
