[Official] Toronto Blue Jays Major League Baseball thread
ReggieBush replied to The Stork's topic in Off-Topic General
I respectfully disagree. Greg Bird missed all of last season has a great bat. He should hit .280 with 25-30 dingers with the short porch in RF. Didi Gregorius had a real good season hitting 20 bombs with 72 ribbies which is great SS production. Starlin was very inconsistent, but he has the talent and pedigree. Add encore seasons from Aaron Judge, Tyler Austin, and rookies like Clint Frazier, Gelyber Torres(maybe) and Jorge Mateo pushing for spots, the next core is coming. If we manage to pick up two of EE, Harper(next year) or Trout(2020), plus some pitching(ie. Sale,Kenley/Chapman), only the Cubs can challenge us. It is a damn good time to be a Yankee fan. Projected line up for 2019 should look like this Jorge Mateo (SS) Gleyber Torres(2B) Bryce Harper(RF) Aaron Judge(LF) EE(DH) Gary Sanchez(C) Greg Bird(1B) Clint Frazier(CF) Didi Gregorius(3B) Obviously, pieces will be moved to improve the rotation. I could see one of Mateo, Torres, Didi, Castro, Miguel Andujar being moved for an ace. Also, players might not reach their potential. On that same token, nobody expected Gary Sanchez to do what he did this year, so it shows that players can play way above their perceived potential. I grew up watching the Core 4+ ARod, and these past few seasons have been very disappointing. It is not Yankee baseball. But times are changing, and the NYY are geared up to start another dynasty. -
To be honest with you, I don't think people would watch it. CFB is basically number 1 in the States.
-
I think that is only during the holiday season when Christmas falls on Sunday or Monday
-
I am a big football fan. But if I had to choose between a random NFL or college game, I would choose the latter. I think the big thing that has always attracted me to CFB was the passion and intensity that college players have in EVERY game, opposed to just in the playoffs or against big rivals in the NFL. Sometimes I feel like players in the NFL are just going through the motions, knowing they're getting paid after the game(case and point Seahawk receivers yesterday).

IDK for me I look at Wisconsin and I see two of the best loses in the country. In the big house by a TD, and at home to a playoff team by a TD. Both games could have gone either way. UW got manhandled by USC, and lost by two scores. And in my opinion, aside from Bama, they have the best defense in the country. TBH with you, I would not have Clemson in my top 4, they have not impressed me at all this year
-
To be honest with you, I think Wisconsin jumps if they win, Penn State I am not so sure about. The Badgers are a good, hard-nosed, smashmouth football team capable of giving any team in the nation problems
-
Seahawk receivers are running very lazy routes right now. No intensity, horrible stride length, not getting their eyes around. It is brutal to watch. Better change in the second half
-
Utah was BAD. I wish they played that bad against us earlier in the year. Michigan deserved the W IMO, JT Barrett was short. Ya it is Wisconsin and Penn State in the BIG 10 championship, with the winner most likely in the CFP
-
Again, it's up to the committee. Washington has a good chance if they win next week, which I hope they do. If each favorite wins next week, the playoff will probably look like this 1. Bama 2. State 3. Clemson 4. One of Wisconsin/Penn State/UW I truly believe that Clemson will lose next week so my top 4 will be 1.Bama 2.OSU 3.UW 4. Winner of the Big Ten, leaning towards Wisconsin
-
**** Utah. ******* Choked.
-
The toughest thing to do in football is beat the same team twice in a season. Especially a well-coached team like Udub.
-
Praying for a Utes win, even though Colorado deserves to be in the championship more than we do. It is a lot of pressure on the Buffs, and the Utes have nothing to lose. I'll take 2 wins against our rivals and a rose bowl in any season though. Very proud of Coach CH and the team.
-
Adoree is having a DAY Goodness gracious 2 return td's and a td reception
-
Barrett was short
-
Yes, but if OSU wins today they are a shoo-in for the CFP
-
Apple Cup tonight in Pullman, gonna be a barnburner. Pulling for Udub, can't stand Mike Leach. Rivalry week is one of my favorite weeks of the year. So many great matchups and so much passion My 3 games to watch for this week are; 1. Obviously the Big Game, Ohio State vs Michigan. Michigan ravaged by injuries and on the road but don't take anything away from the, they are a damn good football team 2. Gators and Noles. Overachieving Florida vs. Underachieving Florida State. A good one no doubt 3. Iron Bowl. How can you not watch this game? Especially after that ending 2 years ago, it still gives me goosebumps. @ShakyWalton I thought this was your job
-
Yup. I remember this game like it was yesterday. As a Seahawk fan, I knew it was our time when Sherm tipped that pass. I miss this rivalry so much. It's a shame the Niners went to $***. My favorite game of all time has to be that Packer NFC title game or the Wildcard game vs the Saint's (Beast Mode Run).

BS So ND gets wins taken away from them in addition to - One year of probation for the athletic department - A public reprimand and censure for the school and a $5,000 fine - A two-year, show-cause order against the student-trainer - The athletics department must disassociate from the former student trainer for two years. But when a football player's parents got some incentives to get him to use an agent, We get the death penalty?

IM THE BEST CORNER IN THE GAME

basically. Conference record is what matters
-
Wow I just wrote a massive write up on this and the website glitched out. I found a video that kind of answers your question on the Playoff. In terms of the Conference title games, It is based on best conference records. So basically what it means for UW is that if they win next week, they play for the PAC12 title. If they lose, WSU plays for it. If there is a tie, head to head is the first tiebreaker, so that is why even if Ohio State wins next week, they will not play for the BIG 10 unless Penn State loses, because Penn State holds the head to head.
