For me, it's a matter of these games mattering at all. I mean, not long ago we would've never dreamt they would. Even though the margins are small, it's not a done deal yet. And having great hockey (which the team gave us these past 2 games) is the best.

Looking at Halak’s numbers over the years, and man he’s had some dominant years. Seems like a goaltender that kind of regularly needs to play for him to be at his best.

I know we don't like the Oilers, but do you think it's worth it to see McDavid play live?
I refuse to go to Oilers games when they're here, but now that Sid and Ovi are at the tail ends of their career(?) I'm glad I got out to watch them both 4-5 times each.

What exactly did you hate about Green?
He gets a ton of hate but I didn’t see anything that was so bad to think he was a bad coach. With Willie D his insistence to play guys like Megan and Chaput on the top line was one instance of how an average fan could see he was bad. But with Green I can’t really come up with anything beside maybe him not calling enough timeouts when the game was getting away from them?

Is Mackenzie Weegar massively underrated or is he the byproduct of playing with Ekblad?
I'd argue he's one of the most underrated players in the NHL right now. He was amazing last year and played much of his time while Ekblad was out injured.

Did you get your feeling hurt on HF or something? There's more to life than the Canucks, I wouldn't take it so personal.
They're bad. They're really really bad. You can spin it how you want or come up with another 100 trade proposals, but at the end of the day, whether you saw it coming or not. The Canucks spent to the cap like they have most of Benning tenure, and have been absolute ASS, like they have for most of Bennings tenure.

I still think the Canucks get into the playoffs, Travis won't be here but the team will start clicking, also, Vegas will miss the playoffs, loss of Marc Andre Fleury is too much, Canucks have too much talent to miss

What is the agenda of JD and TD? That the Canucks are bad and Jim Benning should have been fired years ago? Newsflash....
Elliot has been one of the kindest to the Canucks on the HNIC in forever. Shocker he doesn't have nice things to say about them now. The ones who have nice things to say about them are the ones who would watch 82 games if they went 0-82-0.

It wears on me when people see the team through rose coloured glasses because they live in the province of British Columbia. The team is terrible, blame that on Green, Benning or the players, but the Vancouver Canucks organization is terribly handled right now and the JOKE of the league.
If anyone wants to see things differently they are free, but I've also got a leaky bridge to sell them.

Fire Green before looking to trade any core players. This is a much better team on paper than coaching is getting out of them. If Benning won’t fire Green then fire him too.
Green is not the coach to get this team to the next level, and if management can’t see that then they need to move on as well.
Enough wasting time. Get it done.

It takes time if you're patient and the rebuild is done well. When you do what the Canucks have done and try to half ass rebuild half ass fill out your roster, you're on year 8 looking on 8 more.
Jim never had a long term vision. He just didn't. And you can't be hitting 50% on top 6 picks for someone who was claimed to be a drafting genius.
