    Brain on Fire Not action or comedy or sci fi. But its aa very interesting movie, definitely not one you have your phone in one hand and scroll through while watching.

    I'm not sure I'd give him another chance at GM. In an assistant Gm role sure, he did more than adequate at the draft and handling RFA's and was substandard everywhere else.

    Great that they won, but man apart from that last 10 minutes that was a slow sloppy game to watch, so many whistles.

    This is going to be a Demko game. Carolina almost always controls possession and outshoots their opponent.

    I went to games this year with my friends mostly to shoot the sht and just have a good time AFTER the game, win or lose. I'll probably go now to pay more attention and actually enjoy it.

    I know we don't like the Oilers, but do you think it's worth it to see McDavid play live? 

     

    I refuse to go to Oilers games when they're here, but now that Sid and Ovi are at the tail ends of their career(?) I'm glad I got out to watch them both 4-5 times each.

      I guess some people like McBaby. It is fun to see him get shut down I admit. Hang back, generate speed, rinse, repeat. I'd much rather see someone more physical and dynamic like Sid in his prime. I find McBaby to be a huge whiner, and that boarding he did was pure chicken $&!#.

      I know I'd regret not getting to watch Sid and Ovi play which is why I asked. I do like going to games to see other teams players which is why I don't really get out for Arizona too much unless it's really a steal. 

       

      Ya still on the fence about McDavid tho.

      If you have a chance to go you should take it as nothing compares to seeing someone live.
      I got to see Gretzky in his Edmonton days. I always hated him for treating the Canucks like his personal bi!ch so I didn’t appreciate it at the time. Now that he’s gone I’m glad that I got to watch him play. He was every bit the whiner that McBaby is but incredibly talented and hard-working.

    Might feel like the Crawford coached Canucks. Run and Gun and hope for the best defensively. Demko's a lil better than Cloutier though. Wonder if they have the defence to play that type of system. Might get a Rathbone callup sooner than later.

    Hell yes. I wonder if he ever gets a GM gig again. I know Travis will get another head coach job eventually

    you don't always need to spend cap space you have on Free Agents. You could plan ahead and save it so you don't always have to bridge your RFA's. Or you can do what Arizona and Detroit did and eat up dead cap space in return for draft picks. Vancouver preferred the strategy where they'd sign bad contracts then pay to move them out. That's why we have one of the worst prospect pools in the league despite one playoff round win in 8 seasons.

    Curious why you think Horvat is foundational? He's good offensively, not very good defensively and isn't as tough as you usually like your guys.

    Benniings hanging on by a thread lol. Canadian NHL Gm jobs were meant to be temporary and lost. The fact that he's manufactured 8 years here is incredible.

    Not that your proposal is funny, as someone else said I like the idea of Carlo. But I distinctly remember people here wanting everyone else BUT Carlo when it came to the 2015 draft.

    Quinn Hughes took this game over. If it’s the last Signing/trade Benning makes it might be his best. He’s the best player on the team and that contract will be a steal for years to come.

    To do what? Get up to maybe 20th in the standings? They'll get the new coach adrenaline rush for about 10-15 games, but they are what they are. Bad.
