  1. platinum blond I bought a tape down town van, , it went out the window on my way to horseshoe bay , I remember putting def leopard in , we got to the terminal and the platinum blond tape was tangled in my bumper when crushed it and threw it out there was a 100ft stream of platinum blond tape following us lol.
  2. i was 26 , in 85 my wife had to have corey hart albums ,cause corey was hot , I was 5,6 years removed from my punk phase ,and was not adapting well,to Canadian content after chilliwack finished I seemed to start listening to international artists inxs, lou gramm, etc it was a weird era ,movie stars were putting albums out ,eddie murphy, david Hasselhoff looking back the ,the year everything changed was early 82 ,so many different styles .
  3. 1 example of reclaimation failure in BC ,contributing to mistrust , reclaimation in alberta is 1 thing clean up in the marine environment quite another …….but there really wasn't much talk about that . when I first watched this in the spring I never posted it because of her accusation of a flawed neb process ,unfortunately she doesn't elaborate about that in the interview ,but looking at recent court rulings , she doesn't have to justify the omittance of it . this women cannot be accused of not knowing what she's talking about , I will be posting dr.david schindler of the U .OF alta's findings , now there's a man that notley and jt wished would go away.
  4. I almost came up for the week end I was wondering if the telkwa bbq rodeo is still happening these days

  6. North Coast fishing grounds key to orca recovery: DFO Plan marks waters from Langara to Rose Spit as critical habitat for northern resident killer whales Jul. 17, 2018 12:00 a.m. News
  7. @rob-zepp never underestimate the importance of CANADAS KILLER WHALES , there also "in the national interest"! or I should say the international interest.
  8. this summer they shut down juan de fuca commercial fishery 2 reasons ,to limit traffic and preserve the chinook ,springs for the resident killer whales, the us navy was taken to court for the excessive use of submarine sounders, ALL vessel traffic is being told to minimize the use of sounders except when nessesary.
  9. my grand mother lived there (Scottish) shortly after the 1st ww of which my grand father served and survived vimy ridge , his family lived in edmonton my brother and sister and I never did find out how he met her , but he took her from there and they married in stewart bc , he had a horse pack train company up until roads were built ,then he bought trucks , I've been to Hornby twice , my dad and I found what was left of her familys home stead ,its on a hippys property. they were nice though. I kinda liked denman more.
  10. theres absolutely no doubt about all the existing marine traffic being the issue , I dont quite understand how the number would fall ,when tanker movements go from 5 per month(10 trips) coming and going , to 34 per month. (68 trips) coming and going. its not only the potential of killer whales being hit ,its the noise,(sonar) sounders . orcas use echolocation ,their own sonar , the southern coast resident orcas j,k and L pods have their own distinct dialect ,and are more vocal than the transient biggs orcas ,as well the biggs are bigger, far more aggressive and hunt the whole coast with more regularity. the southern resident pods also hunt coast wide ,just not as often. the only time an orca isn't communicating or using echolocation is when its hunting , and they know what part of the year and where to be when seals are calving, between this and salmon seasons they'll take out a dolphin, porpoise no problem, there's no petty politics about it AND THERE IS NOTHING PETTY ABOUT THE CURRENT STATE OF B.C.s coastal killer whales , but how Albertan of you to suggest "petty" heres a quote ...Southern resident killer whales have been listed as endangered under Canada’s Species at Risk Act since 2003. By defining the expansion to not include project-related marine shipping, the board failed to consider its obligations under that legislation to mitigate any impact with respect to southern resident killer whales, the court said.
  11. david Suzuki is successful , he typifies the very basis of your own argument of good jobs house's (cars, big f350's with 4 "lift kits) for Albertans because that is what notley wants for her Albertans , unless of course if you can convince BCers that Albertans when the pipeline is built and the ships start coming that Albertans aren't going to do this to avoid being called hypocrites. because alberta isn't exactly leading the way in this direction that you speak about , or maybe alberta is sending BC the dirty stuff and BC is contributing more carbon to the atmosphere than Alberta is...…...
  12. @rob-zepp 2 years ago I thought I would finally ride my kick a$$ mountain bike around Stanley park seawall I dont ride with a helmet since in most cases the 28 dollar fine isn't worth the cops time , in most cases , but in 2 hours was yelled at about this, was yelled at about jumping onto the sidewalk to let traffic past on the beginning of the seawall where theres still traffic , and no one on near me on said sidewalk , coming out of Stanley park , was well off the road ,not on the sidewalk only to have a few cars take liberties at me swirving in my direction , this in English bay where the traffic is almost at a stand still any way , so I cant imagine how it is for people on a daily basis wanting to make a change and do the right thing enviromentally speaking, for the average person in Vancouver wanting to make a change , but I understand its a big problem in toronto as well . some day when the cost of fuel really sky rockets will the average motorist understand and respect ,and let the bikers do there thing, happen.
  13. having had rheumatoid arthritis since 1999 it never affected me to the point of disability ,until I had 3 complicated colon surgeries the second saving my life ,the reattachment of my colon/large intestine broke open and i was going septic ,so 3 surgeries over an 8 month span is when my arthritis kicked into high gear , having said all this my history is one of a very athletic upbringing and a very physical working career as a driver/labourer, tough as nails so to speak. so I never dwelled much on other peoples inabilities at 58 years ,still young enough and actually still in good enough shape to still work but not allowed for health reasons , I have become highly aware of other peoples setbacks , problems ,since going 100 miles an hour my whole life an not slowing down to pay attention to anything else, i'm going to say to you, NEVER underestimate another person's ailments ,or compare yours to theirs. and yes I understand you have some kind of thought process problem of which I cant possibly judge you or even understand it , I can respect what you say about it, and thats all I have , so I have to believe you , but far be it from me to compare our set backs , since I just explained to you , mine. all you have is what I described ,and you have to take my word for ………...or not , either way nothing has to be said ….believe it or not. literally .
