  1. Where ever he is I hope he finds a better clothing store to shop at. Or maybe get some cheap drugstore glass’s before shopping ?
  2. More so now than ever before. I Remember Gretzkys crying on tv. I wasn’t totally convinced. But I recently watched an interview with him about the trade. I at the time thought it was Janet. Who orchestrated it. But it was Nelson Scabania who got the ball rolling but it was gretzkys dad. Apperantly he had 4 teams to go to. NY philly Detroit and LA. But I do beleave he was loyal to the Oiler Org until the end.
  3. I get that he doesn’t want talks to be a distraction. The only part concerning was the length of the contract. Him not knowing if it’ll be long , short? Is he Basing the length of his future here on this season ? I mean this team needs at least 2 full seasons , to contend. If it even materializes at all. Hockey players are like that fancy car/truck you bought. And learned the hard way to not get to attached to after it rusted out or got hit in an accident. Team Loyalty isn’t a thing anymore I guess?
  4. Mario asks Luigi , hey Luigi you like a big fat woman ? Luigi says no I no like a big fat woman ! Mario asks Luigi hey Luigi you like a woman with a moustache ? Luigi says no. I no like a woman with a moustache ! Mario asks Luigi , hey Luigi you like a woman with hairy legs? Luigi says no I no like a woman with a hairy legs! Mario says to Luigi then why you f..ka my wife ?
  5. Unlike nylander who actually looks like a daughter.
  6. I think you misunderstood my post. Since it supports what you said about defensive prospects. 3 possibly 4. The way I see it. Btw Being 500 miles north of Abbotsford it’s not likely I’ll be getting any games in. Canuck fans aren’t limited to just the lower mainland.
  7. Last weeks press conference Allvin did say he was hopeful that a Dman was going to battle for spots from within. Which kind of surprised me. So does that mean the priority focus Isn’t on a defence draft pick? Leaving his option to bpa ?
  8. Yes that’s him. The car parkade that was knocked down used to host a battle of the bands concert in the late 60s I would have been around 10. One of these concerts ended up in a riot. But that was my first time seeing Dave play.
  9. @RUPERTKBDbeing a musical history buff that I am but certainly not musical. You may have noticed I post with a local flavour. Here’s a couple of local things. Skip Prest of Sweeney Todd and prism fame is from terrace. My older bro knew Kenny and Brian in the pic. Kenny was/ is a friend of skip prest and still lives in terrace.
  10. Willander and reinbacher are ready or close to nhl ready but it would be a stretch to say 32 players out this years draft make it right away much less make an impact.
  11. this is an exceptionally extraordinary draft class. In an actual mediocre draft year this years pick at 11 would be closer to top 5. That said what 1st round draft pick ever tipped the scale into any team making the playoffs or not. That list is probably pretty short.
  12. Minor hockey would use the word Inclusivity. But the reality is that most kids from family’s on social assistance can’t afford to equip the kids and pay enrolment cost. The only hockey some of the kids play is street hockey. This is why the option of soccer and basketball ball are chosen. It’s always been this way. They do have swap meets every year to trade gear instead of buying every other year. But lower income family’s simply can’t afford “ inclusivity” so the using word inclusivity At the professional level only works to push an agenda so it can gain traction and sell a few more jerseys. but it doesn’t work at the grass roots level. I’ll take it one step further. Here in the north there’s community’s that can’t afford a rink! Forcing another expense on familys to travel to the closest town that has one. The “game” being dragged into this issue doesn’t get my sympathy. With how the nhl handled the cover up in Chicago or the junior national team incident. Or the recent thing in a Seattle hotel room. The game has always had an inclusivity imbalance. And always will ! Is the cost keeping kids out of minor hockey? Absolutely, players and parents say Social Sharing Facebook Twitter WhatsApp Show More Minor hockey registration is down — and many blame fees that can be higher than university tuition Kristina Rutherford · CBC Sports · Posted: Jan 16, 2009 1:50 PM PST | Last Updated: January 19, 2009 The problem isn't so much with registration fees at the house league level. But some teams at the rep level charge the equivalent of $5,000 or more for a season. ((Kevin Light/CBC Sports)) Ask 17-year-old Dyllon Gibblett why he isn't playing midget AAA in North Battleford, Sask., and he snaps back an answer without hesitation: "Why do we want to shell out $10,000 for a season of hockey?" "If he had wanted to play AAA, it's a lot of money, but I would have made it work," says his father, Dalton Gibblett. But as a single father of three, Gibblett is "making it work" as it is. He still pays more than $3,000 for Dyllon to play AA in Estevan. His other sons, Ryley, 12, and Joshua, 10, also play competitive travel hockey — or "rep" hockey as it's known in some parts of the country — with the Estevan Minor Hockey Association. Registration fees this year cost nearly $2,000 each. Their equipment is worth at least $1,000 a set
