But, but pickzzz unless we’re talking top 5 pick and that ain’t happening. And even if it was , would the unproven pick contribute to what kuz has shown this year and in russia. No brainer. -

I’m just happy I don’t have to argue about the merits of keeping him against trading him for unproven picks. JRs said numerous times “retool not rebuild” surely he can’t faulter any worse than an unproven pick would improve to the same level. My moneys on kuz maintaining his pace vs something that may or may not flop. -

I get the ice time thing and I guess the across the board approach was the only way he seen fit to do it. A process of elimination of sorts I guess. To see who responds quicker to the on the fly line change test and reward the players that do so. The other way would reduce the obvious slower players on change limiting it to just them (miller) but singling out ,with millers poutyness might not of been the best approach ? -

RT said he was going to limit minutes ,shorter shifts. And I think he chose the wrong team and game to do it to. Although he didn’t or couldn’t have implemented that strategy in the Chicago game coming in as unprepared as he did. It’s a shame we didn’t play Seattle for his first game because the team was still in or closer to Boudreau’s style. Last nights shorter TOI would have been better served experimenting in the Chicago game not the Seattle game as well such a drastic immediate change in the toi approach was wrong. Judging by the tire fire the back end was last night. He stifled the offence. And if immediate drastic change was made it should have been focused on the sloppy porous backend not the scoring side since that’s not the problem. Why fix it if it ain’t broke? Fix the D first. -

With greens departure it was expected and more likely welcomed by the players. Especially the top 6 forwards. The 7 win game streak last year and the immediate change implemented by BB freeing up the offence worked And was still working.the difference from that to offence stifling from reduced minutes might not be the right way. IMO they were still scoring. It was easier for BB to implement an open offensive system than it is for RT to stifle it.( instant bad result) the team is naturally offensive and naturally defensively deficient. After looking at last nites TOI stat sheet peteys was 20.min kuz 16. Millers 16. Interestingly Hughes had the most at 24? After him saying specifically his #s would also go down after Joshua’s line promotion to 2nd line one would have thought he would have piled up more than 9 min? The across the board toi limiting thing he has to get away from. I can see him limiting toi in an attempt to reward ice time for quicker on the fly line change but that doesn’t apply across the board. Like u mention. Edit. The defensive staff need to to look at the loose positional play. Time after time last night , out of position and a total collapse it was a tire fire back there all night. That’s where the immediate focus should be. -
