  1. Keller and Strome are far from being sure #1 centres. They are both A prospects at this point but I would not sell the farm to get one or the other at this point in their young careers. I don't even think I would do that trade for PLD who was drafted higher than both. If Keller made the switch to wing I could see him being much more successful however. Strome is the definition of underwhelming/ mediocre IMO. He's good but not THAT good. Flame away, but I would not sell valuable assets for either of those two. It's better value for us to draft Nico or Nolan and develop them how we like.
  2. Thanks for sharing. It's nice to get some fresh opini.... wait a second.
  3. I have a feeling that when he does play in the big stage (USHL) he knows how to elevate his game because it's important, it matters and it's for his country. He has the better coaches and all that jazz. When he plays in high school, it's high school. Do you guys remember how you were with your buddies in high school. My thinking is he takes his foot off the pedal slightly when he's playing with his highschool team because he's playing with his buddies and doesn't wanna be super try hard, and also because it's a smaller stage and less important to a certain extent. Obviously this is just my own speculation and attempt to justify his amazing USHL number compared to highschool. But I would draft him based on those numbers any day in that 3-5 slot.
  4. I agree. I would even go as far to say a breed between Hagelin and Zucarello. Guys who skate hard, get to the dirty areas and have a a fair bit to offer offensively, in all situations. I love the way he's been progressing so far hopefully he takes even bigger strides next season.
  5. Seems slightly extreme for this stage of his development. He's progressing much better than he was a yet ago now in Utica and looking to have his confidence back. After his ELC +1 contract runs out and he looks to be going no where Europe seems like a good option. Drew Shore can give him some pointers on that.
  6. Yes sarcasm. Yeah a very disappointing season to say the least. He's young, hopefully he can get back the level of play as a rookie. Nathan Mackinnon syndrome.
  7. I heard the same things said about Kesler. Boy we're we wrong.
  8. A lot of posters joke and say lower your expectations of Brock. "It's only 7 games, relax". Well then what is a good number to predict? The kid is dynamite. He's averaging 3-4 sog every game and has 4 goals in separate fashion in his short time on the second worse team of the league. I don't know about you guys but I'm fired up, it's time to be excited about something.
  9. Good afternoon Drummerboy What are your realistic expectations of Boeser next year? You seem like an intelligent poster, what is your calculated guess?
  10. No I totally agree. But if he can get say 7-10 pp goals (not out of the question) then say 15, 5v5 goals (not out of the question) I think he's looking pretty good. Plus roofing the puck isn't a tap in. Neither is scoring from the high slot. His other 2 you could argue at being tap ins but even then you know Brock knows how to get open and find the space to score. That's not as simple for some players.
  11. Boeser has the potential to the be our best player as early as next year. There I said it.
  12. It's probably an easier decision at that point, compared to 1rst. Similar to the 2nd, and 6th spot last year.
  13. So he's deciding to go to the K?
