  1. Let's looks at this again, Rotten Tomatoes .
  2. Scroll 2 pages back and read "Derp's" post on Juolevi. After reading it go crawl in a hole.
  3. That's a fair assumption based on what you've pointed to. Hopefully Benning and co will screen through that during the interviews and combine training. Mittelstadt, based on his mature frame seems like he would need only 1 maybe 2 years of college hockey. Another thought is if you can find out if the Wild have interest in having a hometown boy with decent upside in their prospect pool? Maybe strike up a deal for Kaprizov/Tuch plus their first to nab him.
  4. But your the time lord! Can't you wave your wand and do jigg so you can tell us?
  5. My point is you would consider Provorov an offensive dynamo in junior but his style of play is quite the contrary. What he does without the puck and how he handles it in his own zone is what makes him so good. It's he same qualities and tangibles that Juolevi possess, and I'm sorry if they do not always reflect on the score sheet but that does simply not mean he isn't valuable. If it takes 20 apples and 6 goals in the NHL for you to have some respect for Juolevi then so be it. He'll easily get there.
  6. Explain to us why it matters that he's not putting up higher offensive numbers in junior when he's not going to be that kind of player in the NHL? He's 28 minute d-man who's got your back for a full 60 minutes. As much as everyone's wants him to be Bobby Orr and go coast to coast, he's not and won't. There's no point hoping for him to put up stupid points in junior, when in fact he will not be that kind of player in the NHL. If if you wanna talk about game IQ, Juolevi is Einstein. Look at Provorov in Philly. His junior offensive stats were probably very impressive to most. But look, he's not that kind of player either. All situation d-men are hard to draft and develop. Don't mistake them when they don't put up numbers that YOU don't find impressive.
  7. Very impressive for a 9 year old! As "cool" as those moves are there is absolutely zero application for that in pro hockey. Not trying to sound like an old grump either, but Sonny Milano could do all of that stuff and he's having a hell of a time trying to crack CBJ's roster. With that being said, Walhmstrom does look like he'll be a top ten prospect next year.
  8. Seriously. Everyone is acting like this year has been a huge let down. He's been a point per game player and scoring goals in the old Brock fashion. He had a slow period when he returned from his surgery but other than that he has been great. People also forget that last year was a very special year and extremely hard to emulate a second straight year. It is great to know Brock is he kind of player that benefits from having food line mates but the fact he can still produce without the supporting cast is even more reasssuring in my opinion.
  9. I have a feeling Benning nabs Jake Oettinger with one of our second round picks.
  10. This may come as comfort to some of the whiners but Dahlen plays a very similar goal scoring game to Tkachuk. Dahlen always drives and has great hands in tight to go along with a great shot and release. Obviously JD doesn't scrap or play the body as much but I think he has the potential to be a great fit for the role he can provide.
  11. I would put Pettersson in that class too. I like his finesse for a bigger skater. He's got a great dish too. Seems like he would be the playmaking centre a lot of our scoring wingers will need in the future.
  12. Why is this clown bashing Juolevi in the Dahlen thread?
  13. He's not signing cause his wrist is still injured. Rumour is he can't even write his name properly let alone pick up a pen. This doesn't look good fellas. Wine wine wine.
  14. Pittsburg Third line has Kessel on it and you could argue Hagelin is the only checker on that line. If checking is done by committee and some well by a few pick hounds you don't have to commit a whole line to "checking". That sounds like it would work great.
