  1. Because it's easy for him to whine and complain about a player who has never played an NHL game and say he isn't as good as 3 defenceman who have played NHL games. Makes a lot of sense I know.
  2. And CDC complains he's starting on the 4th line in 3...2...1 aaaaand
  3. And I think DeNiro isn't wrong where a player in this draft COULD become a franchise player. But the difference is that no one is being projected to be a franchise tagged player thus there is no point selling the farm to move to draft a player who we are not 100% sure what we have in him.
  4. Not a franchise player. A player with first line potential. Even saying he is the most skilled player in the draft is a stretch. I wouldn't be upset if we didn't draft him.
  5. I wanna say that he will probably commit himself to an American school for next year or even play in Europe. Atleast that's what I would do in his case. That way his timeline fits with ours as the Sedin's contract will be up at that point.
  6. Sharbinder, I'm also very high on Casey. He definitely has the "it" factor to his game not to mention his size. I think he could end up being the best player in the draft. He gets over looked cause he's stil playing high school in my opinion.
  7. This. As long as he keeps the attitude to keep learning and stay coachable I don't see why he can't be a star in this league.
  8. That's an awful trade. Both of you clearly don't know anything about player value, the NHL, or player development. Stop whining about Virtanen in his own thread and take your crap elsewhere. Everyone talks about being thrown into into the NHL and being exposed too much too soon. Look no further than Landeskog. Youngest captain and results in being he worst team in the league. "Yeah, let's put him on the Canucks" You guys are kronies
  9. Next year is going to be an interesting year. The young guys will definitely keep me watching though. I constantly think what number Brock is gunna go with seeing 16 is off the board. 61?
  10. If Bo can take him under his wing (in terms of 2 way play and work ethic) then Boeser could end up playing on Bo's wing , then they can both go out for wings!!! If not then yeah I agree the AHL would be a good start.
  11. 3/3 on Red Wing players.... still love the kid. Sounds like a beauty.
  12. I guarantee you Detroit will draft Necas.... therefore we should draft Necas I really like Tippet too. If we're outside the top 2. I'd go Mittelstadt, Tippet, Necas, or Petterson.
  13. I cometely agree. I just think the way the NHL is trending with a more speed and possession game it be nice to have a player like that. You see many teams now not afraid to ice smaller lines. I am a little old fashioned in my thinking, so I do have my doubts but this kid has the skill make no mistake.
  14. What do you mean by "even Gaudette"? Gaudette is one of the best players in the NCAA this year. He totally deserves to be on this list.
  15. IMO it looks like Mittelstadt is one of the only players with the higher risk but higher upside. He definitely has that extra gear, every team wants in their lineup. He is still playing highschool but has a mature frame to bode for him. I personally think he makes the transition to pro hockey seamlessly. I think it's time we start rolling the dice on kids like this hoping we get snake eyes somewhere down the line.
  16. I wouldn't be upset trading down and grabbing Yamamoto. If we could snag him along with Makar in the first round, I'd be ecstatic. 2 "very good" prospects for foreword and D.
  17. I think it's just a matter of him adjusting to his wrist. He's clearly not back to 100% We already know he's capable of being the driver of a line.
  18. It's lack of knowledge not lack of character.
