[Discussion] What would you do?
FinchBird replied to BigTramFan's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
We’ll, in for a penny in for a pound. Aquire Jonas Siegenthaler, John Marino and Simon Nemec for you know who and BB. Gives us the depth and talent on D to buyout OEL next summer if he can’t rebound next year and clears up cap space to address other areas. while painful to give up a future Norris candidate, this trade is good for hockey. -
John Garrett to retire after this season
FinchBird replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
Wish you all the best in retirement, your a class act, will miss your thoughts -
Due to past errors in management and Canuck luck. Do you really want to tear it all down with with Petey and Quinn now and expect for them to stay, our biggest single need is a solid RD which we finally have. If Petey does not sign long term this summer it is still an asset that holds great value. Aquilini has to pay for his sins like everybody else, if this does not work out in next couple years he will have to hang out the 4sale sign

According to Drancer he will get 3 million next year, at that price I have pause but I do love the way he plays the game but if we get a 2nd rounder I make trade
-
I like what I’ve seen from his game so far but what is it going to cost to get him to reup for 3 years, should he not sign before trade deadline 50% retained gets him down to 900 K, who would you rather have for next 3 years, Bear or Schenn?

[DEBATE] JT Miller or Bo Horvat? Who you got?
FinchBird replied to Elias Pettersson's topic in Canucks Talk
The only way it makes any sense to move Miller is if Canucks win the draft lotto! -
[DEBATE] JT Miller or Bo Horvat? Who you got?
FinchBird replied to Elias Pettersson's topic in Canucks Talk
Take JT every day of the week and twice on Sunday, Bo bailed on this team after Markstrom and Tanev left. Country Club has changed its captain, who wants the brass ring. Ownership needs to have a long look in the mirror!! Keep selling high! -
[Rumour] Bo Horvat Trade/Contract Talks

Bo is a helicopter, he does not use his wingers -
[Report] Canucks name Jim Rutherford as president & interim GM
FinchBird replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
Being a Canuck fan all my life I must say hiring JR does not get me excited but I am hopeful that a new day will bring a future this city deserves. The next GM will need to bring inspiration and is a more important hire long term -
Francesco Aquilini owes Canuck Nation an explanation.

Move to Seattle, I hear they are taking fan applications. -
Seven years without a clear plan from Canucks brass.

Disagree with your premise about Benning and Linden, management did not side with Benning, ownership did and I think still does, JB has done everything this owner has asked and if he is removed from the organization then ownership may as well hang out the for sale sign. Regardless of what happens JB is a good man who does not deserve this and we all need to be KIND -
well considering canucks track record i expect this to be a very quiet FA day, which i also expect to be a good thing for the long game

Blues will continue to attack our D with heavy forecheck and will go after Edler next, hitting players in the back on the numbers into the boards is a penalty all day everyday. If refs let game 3 look anything like game 2, I will not like our lineup much as this series goes on, hope Myers gets back into series soon.

Gonna ride shotgun with huggy bear, can you smell what canucks are cookin!!

Next man up, be a warrior and leave it on the ice, Billie will be proud of Dad!

Big Lou played big boy hockey in game 2 and probably stays with Furly out. Like what he brings to Bo’s game and he has something to prove. Would suggest he goes back to a wood stick though, Love to see him score winning goal in the big game and become the immortal one in Vancouver.
