  1. Albertans..... wow when are you going to take responsibility and stop blaming / whining to the rest of Canada..... Albertans - this is how the rest of Canada sees you....
  2. Of course the best option is too keep the Bitumen in the earth..... But this is a new direction... https://vancouversun.com/commodities/energy/alberta-targets-1-5-billion-upgrader-to-get-more-value-from-oil/wcm/0da0949e-e4f7-4ce0-8950-b06ffe319dc5 Alberta is working to encourage construction of a $2 billion partial-upgrading facility that would turn more of the province’s sludgy bitumen into higher-value products. vThe facility, designed by Calgary-based Value Creation Inc., would be located near Edmonton and process 77,500 barrels of diluted bitumen a day into products like medium synthetic crude and ultra-low sulfur diesel. The province is offering a $440 million loan guarantee to help build the project, which is seeking additional financing as it works toward a final investment decision this year.
  3. First Nations catch of an endangered species....... really if they were give the option of cash..... Drift netting the Harrison river has destroyed salmon returns.. Let the negotiations begin.....
  4. Not sure how many Chinook are now being sport fished in BC ...... How about limiting commercial openings on the Fraser, sport fishing ( move to C and R ) and pay first nations to not fish........
  5. We can basically say.... " Puck YOU " to the Saudis....
  6. Fin and his buddies should have a say .........
  7. Safety always comes with a cost. Look at it as investment. Big payoffs if we can avoid a catastrophic spill of dirty unrecoverable dispersed Bitumen in our Salish Sea.....
  8. Yes, absolutely. Bitumen is virtually unrecoverable when spilled in turbulent tidal ocean conditions....
  9. I always thought those Quebecers were a smart group...... now i see it in the stats....
  10. I am at work today..... LOL Nice try....... The Kinder sludge line supporters are the ones that like to make up things.... Considering you were in support of Global warming... do you own stock in a Sun Tan lotion company ???
  11. Hopefully less log exports will stimulate the BC forest economy..... Really time to start thinking about improving the lower fraser river salmon habitat as well.
  12. I don't see any machines working today when i look out my window..... So sorry..... better luck for you next week...... Odd how so many posters here support Global Warming
  13. Okanagan is now producing some quality wines..... but face it.... Alberta has become WHINE Country..... Would you Albertans like a little WHINE with some cheese.....
  14. At least if the original post was a paper copy..... it could be at least used as toilet paper.......
  15. I love my F 350 , tractor pull contests..... and i love Global Warming is written right below it....
  16. Is it time to sit Guddy and play MDZ instead..... ????
  17. Too much supply now coming on board for Vancouvers growth rate. Combined with China's new foreign investment regs..... Looks like a few years of dropping prices here in BC. Big time investors here in the know..... were dumping property last May.
  18. Sounds like prices in the city are following..... probably prices in the Valley to now follow Will it be carnage though ????
  19. Yes of course. Hopefully fish farm new regs may help though... Perhaps new regs for whale watching tours could be helpful as well..... How do you feel about a seal cull on the west coast ? Do you think that the Orca's will benefit from increased tanker traffic ... maybe they enjoy interacting with large tankers....?
  20. Pretty sure the environmental impact of tanker traffic on Orca's will be looked at before KMP expansion goes ahead........
  21. Not sure you understand the INCREDIBLE importance of the Southern Orca's to BC culture / history / tourism / first nations culture ?
  22. Time for Canadians to make some tough choices...... Two more southern resident killer whales predicted to die by summer https://vancouversun.com/news/local-news/two-more-southern-resident-killer-whales-predicted-to-die-by-summer SEATTLE — Two more Salish Sea orcas are ailing and probably will be dead by summer, according an expert on the critically endangered population of killer whales that live in the waters of the Pacific Northwest. Drone photography taken this past September showed the ailing population of orcas known as the southern residents went into the winter thinner than they were when the whales arrived in the San Juan Islands last summer. They also are thinner than the so-called northern resident population of killer whales, which have been steadily growing in population for the past 40 years in their home waters primarily in northern British Columbia and southeast Alaska, where they have access to more fish and cleaner and quieter water. The northern residents gave birth to 10 new calves last year. The Seattle Times reports Center for Whale Research founding director Ken Balcomb said photos taken of a southern resident orca known as J17 on New Year’s Eve showed the 42-year-old female has so-called peanut head — a misshapen head and neck caused by starvation. In addition a 27-year-old male known as K25 is failing, also from lack of sufficient food. He lost his mother, K13, in 2017 and is not successfully foraging on his own
  23. Happy New Year to you all. 2019 will no doubt bring us more debate on KMP. The longer this project is stalled.... the more chance we have to come up with technology more favourable / less risk to our WORLD class BC environment.
