Not that I'm aware of but the Canucks let this information leak out, maybe even to put more pressure on him to waive his NTC -
(Trade) Lucic + Conditional 3rd to Calgary for Neal

There is a post somewhere on the Eriksson thread quoting Dan Murphy that he vetoed a trade around the trade deadline to Edmonton. I'm glad we didn't get Lucic though and am very happy with JT Miller and Micheal Ferland instead. Lucic is a tough customer though and not to be taken lightly, he may even turn it around in Calgary. -

Not true, Eriksson vetoed a trade to Edmonton already and who knows what else so far. -
I have been trying to point this out for a long time and am glad someone else sees it. The team is literally owned by the fake news media so why can't some people see that?Their bias is easily shown when it comes to the Leaf's vs any other team. They do it in all other forms of media too (print, tv internet sites radio etc) and the same way only push certain agendas and demonise others. I will never cheer for them as long as the fake news media owns them

I would place that mostly on the current guys when they signed Tavares and gave that floater Nylander 7 mil instead of trading him. -
[Signing] Canucks sign Micheal Ferland

I would counter by saying Marleau was actually a decent contract, it's everything else since then that was a disaster. -

I was going to say something similar to this, Lou and Hunter would have built a much better team but they chose wrong in Dubas and Shanahan and his "genius" plan -
[Report] Eriksson “NOT” likely to be moved on
gerry35 replied to Provost's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I don't really want Lucic here especially since Ferland and Miller are much better players than he is currently. Eriksson is at least a good penalty killer and defensive player but I still think he gets moved. Team toughness is not an issue anymore and if they can get into the playoffs anything can happen. Benning and co are building a playoff team instead of a great regular season only team. Just need to somehow ship out Tanev if they can somehow get another top 4 defenceman. Maybe some of the surplus forwards can help out with that. -
Leave the rooster alone, he has never hurt anyone

Some of the comments if you scroll down are pretty funny. That guy is so delusional it's shocking actually lol. The brilliant Dubas can tell Benning a lot about 1st round exits since they have done it 3 years in a row The Canucks are so much better built than the Leafs already even though the defence is still not quite there. I would bet the Canucks could beat the Leafs in a 7 game series even now since the Leaf's are the softest team in the league. -

I have a feeling Don Cherry will love the new look Canucks and will rip the ultra soft Leafs Life is good.......... I really like how this team is shaping up now, lots of speed, skill and toughness. Just need to move out some surplus for another good defencemen and things will be even better. -

[Rumour] Laine in "deep talks" with Montreal
gerry35 replied to Baer.'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I would agree with this assessment for the most part, he doesn't seem like a professional at all. In fairness he is young and could grow up but to me he could go either way and I'm glad he isn't on the Canucks. He mocked the Canucks about Fortnite in the early season last year for wanting to focus only on hockey and then after the first month was terrible based on his talent level. -
Hey I like Cormier a lot and want to see him destroy Jones, but want to see Stipe win again. Guy is worthy of respect.
-
It's hard to see a garbage human being like Masvidal win, no respect for the guy.
-
Oh well I hope Jones gets knocked out still lol.
