  1. I want a big RD this draft to pair with Hughes in the future. So Barron or Schneider for me
  2. I mean he's still getting used to the league but to write him off for the whole year as an NHL callup seems excessive
  3. Why would he not? If he keeps playing well and remains healthy then I can easily see him getting a few games look in the NHL. He may not be ready for a full time role at this point, but he'll get there eventually
  4. Alright, time to get this guy up here for a few games. So who would you trade? Stecher or Tanev? My opinion is Tanev
  5. This is a joke right....? Pettersson+Demko+1st should get you no less then McDavid.
  6. I feel that this is something many overlook on this site. Of course you want to keep guys like Tanev, but they're aging out of our contending years and can add value now by getting assets while making room for others to play. Tanev- Rafferty, Tryamkin, Chatfield Sutter- Gaudette, Graovac Schaller- MacEwen, Lind Fantenburg- Tryamkin, Juolevi, Brisebois As Ive been saying all along this isn't a playoff team and needs to be a year of transitioning in more of our future young core. Including Rafferty and Madden if they sign at the end of the year
  7. Sven adds good veteran depth. Wouldn't want to trade him for nothing
  8. Haven't watched too much but is he shooting the puck more. In juniors he'd fly into the zone and rip the puck which is something I haven't seen him do so far. If he can get that shot working at or near the same level in the AHL then he could become a very good NHL player
  9. That 3rd Toronto goal was the worst Ive seen Hughes in his own zone

He's a rookie.  With the way he's played overall so far this season....he should be allowed a brain fart once in a while.  He's earned that right.

Dont disagree, the fact that this is the first time Ive truly noticed him be totally out of position is a good sign

  10. The Americans/ Canadians stayed and the Europeans left due to the system. Palmu and Dahlen's experiences were so bad that they left for teams in their respective countries. Don't get me wrong though, young players need tough lessons. But, when you have multiple players complaining about the same things then you have a problem.
  11. I think Utica learned a hard lesson in development last year. Personally I think Benning told them at the end of the year that they had to play Canucks prospects more often in different situations so as to develop them. This year the coaching staff is playing the kids more and are being rewarded for it with increased development
  12. I think Lind could be the perfect player to go beside Petterson. Has the ability to create offence, play well defensively and he has an edge. You could say the same for Podz as well. Imagine 2-3 years down the line when some of these young guns show up. Podz, Hoglander, Lind and Madden...damn
  13. Ferland-Pettersson-Miller Pearson-Horvat-Boeser Roussel-Gaudette-Virtanen Leivo-Beagle-Sutter
  14. Barron would be a great fit with our young core if we were lucky enough to get him in the first round. Barely miss the playoffs and get a top 4 RD in the draft would be ideal
  15. Get your sh!t together Sam
  16. We have time to make those decisions. Juolevi can play this year in the AHL with a few NHL callups. Rathbone can play all of next year in the AHL if he signs to leave college. Id trade Tanev and Fantenberg this deadline and run with Edler-Stecher Hughes-Myers Tryamkin/Benn/Rafferty rotation Next year you'd want Juolevi to step in. Therefore, you'd need to trade Benn in order to allow Juolevi to get into the rotation.
  17. Time. Let our young core grow and gain experience while integrating in other rookies such as Podkolzin, Madden, Rathbone, Rafferty etc.
