Why is that? Doesn't he have the required amount of professional games?

Disturbing Lack Of Under 21's In The Development System
RetroCanuck replied to ItTakesAnArmy's topic in Prospects / Farm Team
Podkolzin Hoglander Juolevi Woo DiPietro Madden Rathbone Utunen Are just some of the high quality prospects we will see continue to grow in our system over the next couple years. Quality over quantity- 84 replies

Im still a believer that if Goldy is given the opportunity beside Pettersson he will excel. He needs those likeminded skilled players to truly bring out his game. If he cant take that opportunity then waive him. Goldy-Pettersson-Boeser Ferland-Horvat-Miller Baertschi-Gaudette-Pearson Virtanen-Beagle-Sutter Motte, Leivo

Mine is more a prediction that Brisebois can get accustomed to NHL life and practices until Tanev or someone else inevitably gets injured

Ive really like Brisebois's game so far. Would not be surprised to see Fantenberg waived so Brisebois could have a spot Edler-Myers Hughes-Tanev Benn-Stecher Brisebois

Not to mention that we have several other left handed defensemen that have looked good in camp. Sautner, Brisebois and Teves have all played well and are all good injury callups until Juolevi is going 100%
-
Hopefully with fewer injuries

Interesting, I do not view Lind as a top 6 or bust player. Like most young players he needs to work on his defensive zone play, but I can easily see him in a middle six role for the Canucks as an offensive player that doesn't hurt you defensively. A Hoglander-Gaudette-Lind line in the future could be fun to watch

Not even patient. Just anxiously wait for him to arrive

Looks like we have another PPG player in the SHL!

[Rumour] Julius Honka requests trade
RetroCanuck replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Goldy for Honka? Who says no? -
Not to mention the increased pressure from a Canucks audience. Look at how most of this board reacts and then put them in the stands.

He's missed nearly a year of hockey and his conditioning isn't where it needs to be at the moment. This is only a developmental camp, let him go to training camp and see how he does before you start pencilling him into the lineup. A few months in Utica will do him good before a Tanev trade. Coming out of the deadline one could easily see a lineup such as Hughes-Myers Edler-Benn Juolevi-Stecher
-
Hoglander looks like he has the skill to pull a Pettersson. On a lesser scale of points and stuff but he has the skill to do it
-
But would have little playmaking ability and go scoreless. If we are talking of a time beyond Sutter and Beagle then I want to see Madden there. Virtanen-Madden-MacEwen

I mean its some, but not as much as you might think. Hughes, Myers and Stecher are all NHL calibre players. Juolevi will be an NHL player in some form or other but easily on the roster in 2 years. Tryamkin and Woo are the 2 real question marks. In Tryamkins case he's been stated in deciding to come back next year, whether he's a long term NHL calibre player remains to be seen but its easy to see him filling in the spot of Benn or Edler on the left side. Im just really high on Woo and I think he can be ready for an NHL role in 2 years, but thats the largest guess/presumption by far.

Dream team with who we currently have in 2 years, Hughes-Woo Juolevi-Myers Tryamkin-Stecher

hahahaha thats gold. I totally missed that. Its so badly good Im not even going to edit

Im a big fan of Goldy's skill set and think he and Petey have great chemistry. Boeser also had great chemistry with brock sooo Goldy-Pettersson-Miller Ferland-Horvat-Boeser Baertschi-Gaudette-Leivo Virtanen-Beagle-Motte Hughes- Tanev (until deadline trade, then Stecher) Edler-Myers Benn-Stecher (Juolevi-Benn after deadline)

Room can easily be made. As Stawns said Tanev is almost guaranteed to be traded. Doubt Stecher is traded though, I see Benn as a more realistic trade chip but most likely next offseason. Hughes-Myers Edler-Stecher Tryamkin-Benn Juolevi-Rafferty Would be a fun way to end the year as a playoff team or not.
