  1. Jake is more of a one man show. I personally think he can score 20 next year. You want 4 attacking lines and Jake can bring the attack almost on his own
  2. In 2 years you can easily imagine a forward group of Hoglander-Pettersson-Podkolzin Miller-Horvat-Boeser Ferland-Gaudette-Lockwood Virtanen-Beagle/Madden-MacEwen
  3. Yep, Pearson, Sutter and Baertschi will be gone and Podz can step right into our top 6. Man our future looks exciting!
  4. Am I the only one that really likes Karlsson as a prospect? Every ranking I see has him way down their list, but in my mind he's easily comparable as a prospect to Lind, Lockwood and Jasek. I think he's going to boom up a lot of prospect list and be close to a top 10 prospect by the end of the year.
  5. How is that interference? The guy literally just touched the puck
  6. Helge Grans

This is the guy I want this coming draft. Hopefully as a second rounder

  7. Karlsson, Lind, Gadjovich, Rathbone, Lockwood should be options in the top ten
  8. I think he was more referring to the fact that many people on this board believe you should only be drafting forwards in the first round unless its an exceptional talent such as Dahlin, Byram, Hughes etc.
  9. Exactly, but better to have 2 shots in the barrel when facing a bear in case one a dud
  10. It would be very valuable to have a 1st or 2 next year. Centres and Right shot defensemen seem to be the theme of the first round next draft and we could really use some more high quality valuable prospects.
  11. I mean Podkolzin did fall further then expected. 4 of the 5 you (and they) just mentioned were taken later then Pods so its not a stretch to imagine a guy like Soderstrom would have been the next pick for Van
  12. Are we cup competitive this year? Is Tanev a longterm fit here? In my opinion neither is the case and therefore trading Tanev is the best option
  13. Agreed, people have just lost patience and sight of how good of a prospect Juolevi is. If he looks ready for some NHL minutes then you trade Tanev for what you can get at the deadline. Hopefully Tanev can stay healthy until then and fetch a 1st
  14. Starts the year watching until trades or injuries occur and then he earns a spot. At least thats what Im hoping for
  15. Personally I don't think so. He's a good player but from what Ive seen he isn't a game changer. In my opinion you want high end offensive pieces or physical players that can chip in. With prospects like Hoglander, Madden and Podkolzin I just don't see Pearson being here. If Pearson has a solid start to the season and you can flip him for a 1st round pick, I would. This team is going to be playoff competitive, but its no contender so move extra pieces when they're value is highest. I'd say Bear is in the same situation. Start of season Ferland-Pettersson-Boeser Pearson-Horvat-Miller Baertschi-Gaudette-Virtanen Leivo-Beagle-Sutter Motte, Goldobin Edler-Myers Hughes-Stecher Benn-Tanev Biega End of Season Goldy-Pettersson-Miller Ferland-Horvat-Boeser Roussel-Gaudette-Virtanen Leivo-Beagle-MacEwen Motte Edler-Stecher Hughes-Myers Juolevi-Benn Biega
  16. Start of season Ferland-Pettersson-Boeser Pearson-Horvat-Miller Baertschi-Gaudette-Virtanen Leivo-Beagle-Sutter Motte, Goldobin Edler-Myers Hughes-Stecher Benn-Tanev Biega End of Season Goldy-Pettersson-Miller Ferland-Horvat-Boeser Roussel-Gaudette-Virtanen Leivo-Beagle-MacEwen Motte Edler-Stecher Hughes-Myers Juolevi-Benn Biega
  17. Ya there is definitely a little sting in it this year. You want to make the playoffs and it looks like we have the team to do it, but the draft class is so high end you want to just miss out in order to retain your pick for one more year. Perhaps mid season a Markstrom, Tanev, Pearson, Baertschi, Beagle or Sutter trade fetches us some high round picks.
  18. Im a huge MacEwen fan, but he isn't a top 6 forward next year. I can see him playing in a bottom 6 as a big strong defender that can add some scoring and speed. Goldy-Pettersson-Boeser Miller-Horvat-Pearson Virtanen-Gaudette-MacEwen Roussel-Beagle-Motte Leivo
  19. He can always be sent to Juniors later. What we should have done with Virtanen
  20. I mean that list in my opinion has zero issues. Trade Tanev. Let Edler walk or resign afterwards. Hughes and Woo exempt. Protect Juolevi, Stecher and Tryamkin. Let Seattle choose Myers (or Barrie if he's signed)
  21. After taking the time to consider yesterday I believe this will be hands down Benning's best free agency. In my mind this coming year is still a transitional one, but the year after we will be playoff competitive. Nice to imagine how are D-corps could look in a year.

I like the way the teams shaping up, JB is not just building a 1 yr wonder but a SC contender for years to come, Just be patient.

  22. Just warming him up and resting him for when we need him in a couple years!
  23. Id actually sign this guy on the cheap for 1 year. Has had injury problems recently but is a good player when healthy. We could use him short term until Juolevi is up to speed and ready for top 6 minutes. Edler Hughes Sekera- trade at deadline. Bring in Juolevi, Teves or Brisebois.
