  1. If there’s a trade in the works for Boeser and/or Miller I’d claim him. Who knows? Maybe he rebounds and becomes an asset next trade deadline
  2. Just have this sneaky feeling we will be drafting Dvorsky assuming all of Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson and Michkov are gone getting really excited for this draft! Especially if we can accrue a few more picks in the top 3 rounds! Schenn and Boeser could definitely get us some real draft capital for this year
  3. It’s a business and these guys are making a million bucks a year. If your not doing what’s best for the teams future then your not really running a business
  4. God this team and fan base sucks at managing assets. You don’t keep a guy you can get value out of when your bottom 5 of the league. especially when his agent says he’d resign there in the summer
  5. I’d take a third from Calgary or second from Boston. Otherwise it would have to be an enticing reclamation project
  6. Hahahaa that’s absolutely ridiculous, not a chance he returns something like that
  7. Wow… I’d definitely pick him up! Guys been through the wringer in Edmonton. Might just need a change of scenery to rebound not to mention he’s in the power forward mold and they generally hit they’re peaks later
  8. Johansson is a right shot D as well. So Woo and Johansson can compete for an NHL spot next year
  9. Crazy that Canucks Army has him ranked above Johansson, McDonough and Karlsson. Maybe this kid is our dark horse prospect to pay attention too. Need some late draft wins
  10. Haha it’s all down to odds, dream for that lottery pick
  11. How does a dream draft not have us with 1 OA drafting Bedard?
  12. We definitely rushed Gaudette. I think you can’t treat every player the same though, if McDonough comes in and earns a spot he deserves to keep it until he struggles and needs some time in a lesser league Looking forward to seeing him this year. With that shot and size he could be a great fit with Petey one day
  13. Demko or Boeser(money retained). Maybe Schenn if you get a bidding war since there are very few RD on the market
  14. Perhaps, but you also want some of these kids to come up to the NHL while they’re hot and let them get those games to improve confidence. Plus it’s always nice to be rewarded for your good play by being brought up
  15. Holding back money on Boeser makes a lot of sense if it gets you some very good value coming back. Personally I disagree with most here on his poor play as he’s been a consistent 50-60 point player if he played full seasons. His injuries have held him back from playing, not from being productive offensively. Plus he’s only 25 so he’s just getting into his prime years. you need to get a good return off this guy. If holding back 1-2M gets that done then it’s a clear choice.
  16. There’s no way you don’t trade Schenn. He’s an older guy that brings leadership qualities but with where this team is in its rebuild we need to get younger assets. trade Schenn, get your 2nd or A-B level prospect and hope to resign him next summer with a cheap deal and NMC
  17. Part of me wants to leave these young guys down there to develop together for a while longer. Maybe until the trade deadline at the very least
  18. Why? We identified a player with value, felt we had players of higher value and lost a guy to waivers. Everyone here is acting like this guy was worth something. If he was worth a pick of value he would’ve been traded instead of waived. this isn’t asset management loss, it’s just the way the game works
  19. Boeser (30% retained) for Holtz+3rd Fair value, gives NJD some cap flex, we get a third and a good prospect
  20. Then why trade him if he doesn’t have that value right now. it’s not like we are going to be a winning team right now. Only way we will be if he rebounds and ups his play going forward. then if we aren’t close to contending, trade him and hope you have another goalie lined up in the system. there are only two reasons to trade him right now. 1 he wants out or 2 he fetch’s you some high value piece that eats the pain of losing him @Junkyard Dog
  21. You can’t do anything with Ekman at this point but wait and hope his value rebounds like Karlsson right now. just to the point where you can trade him without giving up to much or nothing
  22. Disagree, if we’re trading Demko you need a quality piece. Peterson, Clarke, 2nd
