  1. Waiting....waiting....waiting

I can't believe how quiet it is. Not just the Canucks, but the whole league. Is everyone waiting until the last minute?

exactly what I was thinking. Just dead really with quite minor trades

  2. That was a stunning shot. To change the angle, pull it around the stick and still just rip it! Kids got a future in the Pros! Heres hoping his development keeps progressing
  3. Pretty small LD side. IF Dermott plays really well and consistently I could see Rathbone get trade for a RD or skilled winger
  4. Im surprised no one is talking about Pearson being moved. Honestly think he's one of the more likely to move. Has had a good season, only 1 point behind Garland and is on a cheaper contract. He doesn't really fit the mold this team wants to go as well. Pearson reunited in LA? Toronto?

If it helps, I've been talking about it for a year.

@Chickenspear He might say yes to LA if LA was interested in him.

  5. Trade some of these guys. Cant keep watching such an inconsistent team. Boeser, Pearson, Hamonic, Myers, Chiasson, Hunt, Halak, Dickenson.... Fire sale this team, get some young prospects coming back. Id trade anyone on this team right now not named Pettersson, Hughes, Podz, Demko.

    1. Odd.

      Odd.

I’d throw in Podkolzin if it means we need to sweeten a deal.

Petey Hughes Miller unless an incredible offer is made, and Demko un touchables.

why would you be giving up on Podkolzin?

My keepers are Miller, Bo, Petey, Podz, Hughes, Demko. I also really love Schenn's play and if we don't have him we need a younger version of him. Namely, a guy who can hit with the big dogs.

  6. Rathbone is a far better option then Hunt. If hes not in the lineup by year end he will definitely be next
  7. He's a great prospect. Im definitely not arguing that. But he is just a prospect and one never knows how these kids will transition into the pros. Boeser is a proven entity scoring 25-30 a year and 50+ points. Rathbone is also a potential top 4 D who has looked good in the pros this year. If your trading away such an elite young player and a top prospect then Id like to see a little more added then a couple prospects.
  8. Slight overpayment by us but I don't mind this trade
  9. Boeser is an elite player but I don't think he will be worth his qualifying offer and with us already struggling with the cap Id consider this trade or something similar from another team. NJD get Boeser Brisebois 3rd Vancouver gets Pavel Zacha Nolan Foote Shakir Mukhamadulin
  10. If you want to get something good you have to give up something good. Trading Miller or Boeser (or both even) gets you a lot of good pieces moving forwards. If one of these guys alone acquires you a potential top 6 forward, potential top 4 defensemen and a 1st then really you have to take it now since this team is clearly not contending the next 2 years. I like both but somethings gotta give for this team to truly be good one day
  11. Well obviously if we could get more out of Miller Id be stoked. I see Rathbone and Motte as having similar value though personally so no real difference there.
  12. NYR Miller Rathbone Miller in 2-3 years when this team should be very competitive he will be aging out with a large next contract. Rathbone should be a very good player going forward but with Hughes already being undersized Id like to see a slightly large D corps behind him. Vancouver Canucks Kakko or Lafreniere Schneider Vancouver gets a talented forward. I value both those guys equally. Preference to Laf because we really need some pure skill. Schneider is the Ideal partner for Hughes. Big but with an offensive side to him. This trade hurts us now without a doubt, but adding a top 6 winger that will have plenty of opportunity here and a top 4D that can step in with Hughes would be a major win for this team.
  13. I dont see much issue with this. Its a way to encourage people recycling more and keeping stuff out of the landfills. If you don't want to store and return it thats your choice, I dont really get the difference though if you already recycle many other extremely similar products.
  14. Well at least the upcoming drafts are looking promising

Hearing Matthews needs wrist surgery.  Might be gone foe 3 months.

Loser Leaf fans must be going crazy with worry.  Too friggin’ gunny!  Is there an uglier city than ?Toronto?  Can you say **** hole?

I've already started looking at mock drafts and player profiles. I'm thinking Vancouver will have a top ten pick for sure.

    3. Coconuts

      Coconuts

Hopefully we pick top five, preferably top 3.

  15. Im sorry but we chose Dowling and Highmore in our lineup instead of Gadjovich? Seriously what is going on here. Will any of these kids truly get a shot (other then elite players)? Ive been a big supporter of Jim and to a much lesser extent Green but something seems off here
  16. Looking forward to this one! Surprised by the lack of cuts so far, heres hoping we play a pretty complete team and not a bunch of tweeners again
  17. Lockwood and Gadj were the standouts for me. Juolevi and Woo honourable mentions, both made some solid D plays and the odd boner move. Hogz-Pettersson-Boeser Pearson-Horvat-Podz Gadjovich-Miller-Garland Di Giuseppe-Dickinson-Motte MacEwen (Sutter) First call up Lockwood Hughes-Myers OEL-Poolman Juolevi-Hamonic Schenn First call ups, Rathbone and Woo
  18. Is that really Chiasson on the first unit PP? Why? Give Podz that opportunity
  19. Disagree, I though Juolevi looked good during his time in the NHL. Rathbone has the skills but needs to hone his game. Im predicting Juolevi will surprise a lot of people this year
